Chapter 420: FATHER’S DAY SPECIAL 3: Father Did Not Birth any Normal Children
"Incorrect," Tzadok answered for himself, his voice calm and measured, carrying the patience of someone who had long since grown accustomed to answering strange questions. "I just feel like being one of those characters who does not open their eyes for today. It is a stylistic choice, nothing more. Sometimes a closed eye can see more than an open one, or so I have heard."
"Oh, so it is that time of the year?" Ash looked up in thought, his gaze scanning the intricate weave on the ceiling above them; a beautiful pattern of vines and fibers that had been braided together into a work of art that was both functional and decorative.
His dark eyes traced the lines and curves as if searching for answers among them. "Your Divine Eye of Sys and Cosmic Eye are acting out, right? They are causing you trouble again, and you are trying to rest them."
Tzadok clicked his tongue and threw his head to the side in a gesture of annoyance, his bright red hair shifting with the movement.
His closed eyes tightened slightly, and a faint scowl crossed his handsome features.
"If you knew already, do not ask me again?!" His voice carried a note of irritation, the first crack in his otherwise composed demeanor. "You came here with a purpose, I assume, not just to interrogate me about my eyes."
"Chill, chill. I came here because..." Ash began, his voice growing more serious now, the playful edge fading.
His dark eyes met Tzadok’s closed ones with an intensity that suggested this was not a casual visit. "I think we should do something for our father. Something special that comes from his children, something that would show him how much he means to all of us."
"Hm?" Tzadok faced Kynos, as she also paid him a glimpse, her eyes meeting his closed ones with a flicker of curiosity.
The two of them shared a brief, silent communication that spoke to their long history together. "You mean, like the one we all celebrate once a year? The grand festival that the entire family participates in?"

"No, that is different. That is a family-wide event, something that everyone does together. I meant something his children presented," Ash explained, his hands gesturing as he spoke, trying to convey the idea through motion as much as words. "Something personal and, you know, intimate. Like a festival of sort, but one that is just for us: his kids and him. A day where we honor him in our own way, without all the crowds and the ceremonies, or formalities."
"Hmmm... I understand your point, Ash," Tzadok nodded slowly, his chin dipping in a gesture of understanding.
His arms remained crossed, but his posture relaxed slightly, as if the idea had caught his interest despite his initial skepticism. "But seriously, is that bubbly pervert worth it? Father, I mean. Is he really worth all that effort, planning, and celebration? He is hardly the most... present figure in our lives."
"Hey, do not casually insult him!" Ash lashed out, jumping down from the window sill with surprising speed.
His feet hit the vine-weave floor with a soft thud, and he crossed the distance to Tzadok in two quick strides.
Before Tzadok could react, Ash had reached out and grabbed his cheek, pulling it sideways with playful aggression. "He is still our father! He may not be perfect, but he is the one who gave us life and brought us into this world! That counts for something!"
Kynos instinctively started her revenge by also pulling Ash’s cheek, her small hand reaching up and grabbing his cheek aggressively.
Her eyes blazing with protective fury. "Release Tzadok-sama immediately, Ani-ue! You have no right to manhandle him like that!"
"Big brother!!" Another new voice entered the scene; small and cheerful, bubbling with excitement like a fountain of joy that could not be contained.
The voice came from the window, where the new figure had appeared, her small face beaming with pride and satisfaction. "I destroyed the jaw of a bully in school today! I thought I would come tell you and fish for praise before going back!"
The new individual was a small girl, looking younger than Tzadok even when they were around the same age: her features softer, rounder, her demeanor more childlike and carefree.
She had brown skin that was warm and healthy, short bob-cut light brown hair that framed her face in a neat, practical style, and blue eyes that sparkled with mischief and joy.

She was skimpily dressed in what resembled a brown tribal bikini; pieces of fabric that tied and wrapped her body in sparing ends, leaving much of her skin exposed to the air.
It was a style that was both practical for movement and bold in its simplicity.
"First, kudos for standing up to a bully, Zohar," Tzadok turned to the girl on his window, his cheek still red from Ash’s assault but his composure otherwise intact.
His closed eyes faced her direction, and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Second, I have warned you to use the door. Normal people use doors, not windows."
"Ehhh? But father did not birth any normal children, so it is fine!" She waved her hand dismissively and climbed down from the window with practiced ease, her bare feet finding purchase on the vine-weave floor.
She landed softly and immediately began bouncing on her heels, her excitement palpable. "Ah, big bro Ash and the bunny are here!"
Tzadok turned to Ash and said, his voice carrying the weight of final decision: "I have understood what you have to say... Something like... a Father’s Day, yes? A day dedicated to honoring our father, to showing him that we appreciate him and everything he has done for us."
"Ah yes, yes! Something like that!" Ash chirped happily, his dark eyes lighting up with enthusiasm, his earlier irritation completely forgotten. "I think the name fits it perfectly too. Father’s Day. It has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Simple and direct. I knew you would understand."
"Father’s Day? What is that?" Zohar hopped, looking at Ash then at Tzadok happily, her blue eyes wide with curiosity and excitement.
She bounced on her heels again, her small hands clasped together in front of her chest. "It sounds awesome! Is father coming around today? Are we going to have a party? Are there going to be snacks...? Also... why is big bro Tzadok closing his eyes? Is he actually sleep walking right now?!"
