Chapter 488: Tall Women Are Attractive

"It’s an honor to meet you two."

With a polite smile, Seraphina replied,

"The honor is ours, Your Majesty."

Nyxariel smiled faintly.

"I always wanted to meet the granddaughter of Sir Alistair. The last time I met him, he spoke quite a lot about you. About how talented you are and what a genius prodigy you have become."

Her smile widened slightly.

"And after seeing you myself, I can say he was telling the truth."

Her words caused a faint blush to appear on Seraphina’s cheeks.

"It’s nothing impressive. Grandpa just talks nonsense wherever he goes."

Nyxariel laughed softly.

"Haha! I suppose only you can speak about him like that in the entire world."

Then her eyes shifted toward Eliana.

"Princess Eliana, I especially wanted to meet you. I hope your time in our kingdom has been going well."

Eliana straightened slightly and answered in a calm and elegant tone.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I am enjoying it here far more than I expected."

The sight was rather amusing for Amon.

Most of the time, Eliana only spoke to him with a teasing smile and playful attitude.

But she was still a princess of the Elven Kingdom.

Naturally, she knew exactly how to behave with elegance and proper etiquette.

At the moment, the trio sat on the long sofa opposite Nyxariel.

Amon sat in the middle, while Seraphina and Eliana occupied either side.

Nyxariel nodded with satisfaction.

"I am happy to hear that. And honestly, I have long wished to establish contact with your father, the King of the Elven Kingdom."

For a brief moment, Eliana looked surprised.

However, her expression quickly returned to its calm and noble appearance.

"Is that so? May I know what the reason might be?"

Nyxariel waved her hand dismissively.

"Do not worry. It is nothing troublesome."

She leaned back comfortably.

"As you can see, the Demon Kingdom is trying to build good relationships with everyone. Unlike how things were before I became Queen."

Her gaze softened slightly.

"When I learned that you were visiting our kingdom, I was pleasantly surprised. So I thought perhaps you could help me."

Eliana nodded in understanding.

The Demons had truly been feared enemies for hundreds of years.

Yet for the past few decades, they had remained peaceful.

As a result, the hostility between them and the other nations had gradually lessened.

Most of the younger generation preferred friendship and cooperation rather than clinging to ancient grudges from a distant past.

People changed from generation to generation.

Slowly, but surely.

And now that the Demon Kingdom wished to maintain peaceful and friendly relations, most nations were willing to accept it.

The Elven Kingdom especially.

Among all the kingdoms, the Elves despised war the most.

They would always choose peace whenever possible.

Eliana smiled politely.

"I will speak with my father. And I believe he would be more than willing to talk with you if it is for the sake of building friendly relations."

Nyxariel nodded approvingly.

The conversation between the two continued for a while.

Meanwhile, Amon and Seraphina remained mostly silent.

Eventually, Nyxariel leaned back against the sofa with a satisfied expression.

Then her eyes moved toward the young man who had been staring at her since entering the room.

With envy.

"And this young man..."

She tilted her head slightly.

"Who might he be?"

Amon immediately snapped out of his thoughts.

"Cough."

Then he straightened himself and spoke politely.

"Hello, Your Majesty. Sorry for the late introduction. I am Amon Vale."

He pointed at Seraphina and Eliana.

"And I am a very good friend of Seraphina and Eliana."

Then he scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"And as for why I am here... well, I was dragged—"

He quickly corrected himself.

"No, I mean I came with these two because they insisted that I come. I honestly do not know why."

Eliana’s mouth twitched.

Seraphina remained silent.

Nyxariel raised an eyebrow in amusement.

"I suppose they truly consider you a good friend."

Her eyes lingered on him.

"So much so that they brought you here with them."

Then she tilted her head.

"But was there something on my face?"

She narrowed her eyes curiously.

"You have been staring at me rather strangely."

She finally voiced the question that had been bothering her.

It wasn’t as if he had been staring lustfully.

So she felt no anger.

What confused her was the envy she had sensed from him.

Why would a human young man be jealous of her?

Amon immediately gritted his teeth.

"H-How can I even say this..."

He looked genuinely conflicted.

"The truth is..."

"I-I was just amazed by your height."

The room became silent.

Amon lowered his head dramatically.

"You are so tall."

He clenched his fist.

"You know, for men, having a height like yours is one of our dreams."

His face became bitter.

"Dammit! That’s why I am jealous of you and can’t stop looking."

Amon slumped into the sofa with a defeated expression.

Eliana immediately covered her mouth.

She was trying her absolute best not to burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, Seraphina simply shook her head.

Her expression practically said,

’Here we go again.’

As for Nyxariel...

The Demon Queen blinked several times.

Even she could hardly believe what she had just heard.

Then suddenly—

"Hahahaha!!"

She burst into laughter.

It was a genuine laugh.

One she rarely showed.

Leaning forward, she unfolded her arms.

Her towering figure loomed over Amon.

Then one of her large gauntleted hands landed on top of his head.

Amon flinched and looked up.

Eliana and Seraphina both looked surprised.

Nyxariel smiled warmly.

"Young man, you are still growing."

Her hand gently patted his head.

"So do not be discouraged. I am sure that one day you will be taller than me."

She spoke with an encouraging tone.

Nyxariel had lived for centuries.

To her, these students were little more than children.

Even if they were talented and growing stronger.

So seeing Amon become depressed over something as simple as height had genuinely amused her.

It had even improved her mood.

Amon closed his eyes.

Then decided to simply enjoy the moment.

The gauntlet made the head pat somewhat uncomfortable.

But it was still a head pat from an unbelievably beautiful woman.

So he was perfectly satisfied. Seeing him calm down, Nyxariel eventually withdrew her hand and leaned back again.

"Sorry about that."

Then she smiled.

"You know, this is actually the first time someone has ever been jealous of my height."

She shook her head.

"Demon women are generally tall."

Her expression became slightly helpless.

"But I am tall even by Demon standards."

She paused.

"Most Demon men are around one hundred eighty to one hundred ninety centimeters."

She herself stood at roughly one hundred ninety-five centimeters.

"Oh?"

Eliana blinked curiously.

"So is it a bad thing for women to be tall?"

Nyxariel thought for a moment.

"Hmm... well, yes."

She shrugged.

"Most men prefer cute women who are shorter than them. So yes."

"Fools." Amon immediately declared while leaning back against the sofa.

"A tall woman is far more attractive."

His expression was full of conviction. A seriousness that he didn’t even show in serous situation.

"They look amazing. And strong."

He clicked his tongue.

"Tsk. I can never understand men who say shorter women are better."

He folded his arms confidently.

"In my eyes, both are undeniably attractive."

"Hahaha!"

Eliana finally lost the battle against her laughter.

"Amon, nobody asked for your preferences."

Then she smirked mischievously.

"And we already know that you prefer tall and mature women over shorter and young."

Amon nearly jumped from his seat.

"HEY!"

He pointed accusingly at her.

"You cannot reveal my secrets in front of such a great figure!"

He looked genuinely horrified. How could she embarrass him like this in front of the Demon Queen?

Meanwhile, Nyxariel simply watched the exchange with an amused smile.

The conversation had somehow drifted into a very strange direction.

Yet strangely enough... She did not dislike it.
