Chapter 487: Illogical Development
The moment Amon entered the dining hall, his eyes widened slightly.
The hall was enormous.
Golden chandeliers hung from the high ceiling, illuminating the room with a warm glow. Long rows of polished dark wooden tables stretched across the hall, each surrounded by dozens of chairs.
The atmosphere was lively.
Students filled the room with conversation and laughter after an exciting first day in the Demon Kingdom.
At one side of the hall, several demon servants stood behind long serving counters. Students lined up to receive freshly prepared food.
At the same time, many dishes had already been arranged on the tables themselves. There were roasted meats, fresh bread, colorful salads, soups, fruits, and various desserts.
The rich aroma filled the entire hall.
"Wow..."
Amon looked around with interest.
"This is better than the Academy cafeteria."
’But this feels weird... aren’t this is too good of a treatment? Am i missing something here? Shouldn’t students should be suffering because of academy harsh training rather than enjoying trip.’
After a while he push that thought aside.
There were missions ahead, sparring sessions, and most dangerous, written exams. So he need to enjoy anything possible given by academy.
Several nearby students immediately nodded in agreement.
After grabbing a plate, Amon joined the line.
A demon servant politely bowed before placing food onto his plate.
"Enjoy your meal, sir."
Amon smiled.
"Thank you."
A few minutes later, carrying his plate filled with food, he searched for his friends.
It didn’t take long to find them.
Marcus sat at one side of a table with his usual indifferent expression.
Beside him sat Aisha.
Then came Eliana. And finally Seraphina.
Amon immediately walked toward them.
"There you guys are."
Eliana waved cheerfully.
"Amon! Over here!"
Amon nodded and pulled out the empty chair beside Seraphina.
Then he sat down.
Seraphina glanced at him briefly.
"You took longer than expected."
Amon grinned.
"I was looking around first."
Aisha rolled her eyes.
"More like getting distracted by some nonsense thing."
"Hehe."
Amon didn’t even bother denying it.
Marcus continued eating quietly.
Meanwhile, Eliana looked at Amon’s plate.
Her eyes widened.
"That’s a lot of food."
Amon looked down.
His plate was piled surprisingly high.
"What?"
He shrugged.
"I am a growing young man."
Marcus glanced at him.
"I feel like your brain is declining with time rather than growing."
"Fuck you!"
"This bastard!!"
Marcus wanted to curse at him more but then remembered he was from a high ranking nobel family. He could not act like that. So he sighed.
Aisha pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Please don’t start."
Eliana burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, Seraphina simply began eating quietly.
Amon immediately noticed. His eyes moved toward her plate.
Then toward his own. Then back toward hers.
Finally he frowned. "You barely took anything."
Seraphina blinked. "This is enough."
"It is not."
"It is."
"It isn’t."
Seraphina looked at him calmly. Amon looked back stubbornly.
For several seconds neither spoke.
Finally Eliana covered her mouth.
Just like that there dinner continued.
---
After dinner, the group decided to take a small stroll outside.
Just then, they noticed a Demon Knight standing in the corridor.
The knight bowed respectfully before them and spoke in a formal tone.
"Her Majesty wishes to speak with Lady Seraphina and Lady Eliana. I hope you can please come with me."
Everyone was surprised.
Amon, who had become a little smarter over the past year, quickly understood the reason.
It was natural for the Queen to want to meet Eliana, who was the princess of the Elven Kingdom, and Seraphina, who was the granddaughter of Alistair Luminous.
With a look of understanding, he nodded.
"Okay then. See you later, Seraphina and Eliana. We three will be in the garden. Come find us when you are done talking."
Amon turned toward Aisha and Marcus, gesturing for them to leave.
The two stared at him for a second before moving forward.
Amon was about to follow them when suddenly someone grabbed both of his arms and pulled him back.
Tilting her head slightly, Seraphina asked,
"Where are you going?"
She was holding his right arm.
Meanwhile, Eliana had grabbed his left arm and flashed him a teasing smile.
"Amon~ As a man, you should accompany us ladies for protection."
Amon frowned immediately, clearly disliking the idea.
"What do you mean protection? There is no way either of you will be harmed. So how can you even say those words?"
The knight straightened proudly and added,
"Yes, Lady Seraphina and Lady Eliana. You do not need to worry. We would never harm you. Her Majesty simply wishes to have a chat with you."
Eliana smiled mischievously.
"Yes, we know that. But we still want to drag—I mean bring—this guy with us, please."
The knight remained silent for a moment before nodding.
"Hmm. As you wish."
Amon immediately looked toward Marcus and Aisha.
"H-Hey! Take Marcus with you guys then. Or Aisha. Why me? Take them as well."
However, Marcus and Aisha were already walking faster down the corridor without looking back.
’Fuck them.’
With her usual calm expression, Seraphina said,
"Please, sir. Lead the way."
The knight bowed slightly.
"Of course."
He turned around and began walking.
Seraphina and Eliana followed behind him while dragging Amon along with them.
Amon could not do anything at all and simply allowed himself to be dragged away.
This was so illogical development but what could Amon do? Friends always leads one person to an unknown development.
After several minutes, they stopped in front of a large door.
The knight stepped forward and knocked.
"Your Majesty, I have brought them."
A moment later, a calm yet authoritative voice came from inside.
"Send them in."
The knight immediately pushed the door open.
Then he stepped aside and gestured politely.
"Please."
Amon let out a sigh.
There was no point resisting anymore.
Straightening his posture, he prepared himself to meet the Queen.
The trio entered.
The room was spacious and luxurious, seemingly designed specifically for guests and private discussions.
In the middle of the room, several elegant sofas were arranged around a large table.
Sitting upon one of those sofas was the Demon Empress herself.
Nyxariel Noctyra.
She was still wearing her black armor.
The moment she saw them enter, she gracefully rose from her seat.
A gentle smile appeared on her face.
Oddly enough, it did not suit her towering, imposing, and dangerous appearance.
Yet somehow, it still looked natural on her.
"Hello."
Her voice was calm and pleasant.
"Please come over and have a seat."
The three of them approached respectfully and gave a polite bow.
Then they sat down across from her.
Nyxariel quietly observed the young man who had accompanied them.
The young man she had never invited.

[A/N:Hello guys! You know I had created my kofi account months ago, when I started to write this novel. But forgot about it. Now that I remember. I thought I should tell you. Well so in short if you want to support me outside of WN you can do it via kofi. I put link in synopsis of my both novels. You know it’s better to get direct money rather than gift since more than half if it goes to app and other things. We get nearly half or might be less. So if you ever wish to gift my novel, it’s better to donate by kofi rather then giving so many coins. Link is also available in my server.
Also coins are acceptable if going to kofi is too hard work. I know since I am lazy myself.
Hehe~ bye bye!
