Chapter 108: Release Announcement

After a bumpy month, this Little Newbie is finally having their first premium launch!

First, I have two pieces of good news.

The first is that I don’t have a Chapter stockpile, so I can’t do a mass release. (Doge-face for protection).

Ahem, but in all seriousness, those of you who know me are aware that this book has gone through countless revisions—from the outline to the first draft to its final publication—to become what it is today.

This Little Newbie knows it’s not interesting enough, so I’m still tweaking the outline. The result is that, just like with my last book, almost my entire stockpile of Chapters had to be scrapped. The premium launch, which was originally scheduled for before the 20th of last month, was delayed until today because of all the changes. For that, I am so, so sorry, everyone!

And now for the second piece of good news.

Even though this book’s performance has been... average (to put it mildly), I’ll still be holding a monthly ticket raffle! Just like last time, vote for the book and join the group to enter!

What I’m really trying to say is that no matter how poorly it does, I still love my writing and the characters I create. That’s an attitude this Little Newbie has always stood by. After all, if I don’t even like my own work, why should I expect anyone else to?

You might laugh when I say this, but I’ve poured twice the time and effort into this book’s outline, plot, and characters compared to my last one. The results might not show it, but I firmly believe that just getting the story written is progress, no matter how it’s received. At the very least, it proves to me that I’m still growing as a writer.

I had a lot more I wanted to say, but on second thought... ’What’s the point of a lowly writer like me rambling on? I should be using this time to write another Chapter instead.’

But with revising the outline and the National Day holiday happening at the same time, I’m just completely swamped. I really can’t manage a mass release, and I’m afraid I’ll just end up making a mess of things again...

It’s a long, sad story.

In any case, thank you all so much for reading this far. For a writer, there’s nothing more fortunate than the simple fact that I love to write and you love to read.

I’ll skip the rules for bonus Chapters for donations and all that. For this book, I’m not going to overthink it. I’ll just focus on getting myself in the right headspace and adjusting the plot outline. Here’s hoping that in thirty years, the river flows east, then thirty years, the river flows west... I forget the rest.

Lol.

And last but not least, please give me a first subscription! (Chapters will still be released at 12 PM.)

And a monthly ticket, too, please!
