Chapter 132: Where is Li Yu?
AN: So sorry for the delay. Happy reading y’all. I uploaded a Chapter for Sold my Soul to the Mafia Boss. You can check it out if you like.
Yu Wen was at a loss. He had spent some time thinking through what he should do in the morning before he went to sleep. He was thinking that he should wait for Li Jun to wake up first before he did. He was curious to see what Li Jun would do.
Would he kiss him awake, or would he smile at him before saying good morning? He thought maybe just maybe Li Jun would have a conversation with him about the way forward, but it was all a pipe dream.
Li Yu just had to ruin a good thing. The atmosphere in the tent shifted, the energy turning sinister. "Get out," he said, his voice low but authoritative. That was an order, but how could Li Yu let that bitch get away easily?
She thought that after all this time, Yu Wen would be open to seeing her. Who would have thought he would be cozying up with someone in this godforsaken place? Her dream was shattered, but she wasn’t going to let that bitch slip through her fingers.
Using him almost shooting her as an excuse, she said, "He attacked me with a plasma gun. He should be arrested and either sent to the imperial court for trial or the General can issue a punishment based on military law." The general she was talking about wasn’t Li Jun, of course.
Yu Wen glared at her, but before he could repeat himself, Li Jun snorted. Li Yu burst out in rage. She pointed a shaky finger at him and said, "How bold. Take him down for me."
Li Yu sat up and said, "Military law, I am not even a soldier. Just go, you are being too noisy. Better yet, I will go. You stay." After saying that, he made a move to pull the blanket off of him and get out of the bed, but Yu Wen grabbed him in a panic. He was afraid that Li Jun would actually leave for good and never come back out of anger.
"Calm down. I will handle this, okay?" he said before getting up. He put on his boots, and as he was tying the lace, the man sitting behind moved. He hugged Yu Wen from behind and rested his chin on the man’s shoulder.
Li Jun said, "Hurry up and come back. Maybe we can continue what we were doing last night." His eyes looked up with a smirk on his lips. He wanted to infuriate Li Yu to death, and as expected, she looked like a puffer fish about to blow up at any second.
Yu Wen’s fingers froze. He knew that Li Jun was probably doing this to piss off Li Yu, but he was very happy. His mood improved considerably. He turned his head slightly, and the tips of their noses brushed against each other.
They looked into each other’s eyes, igniting invincible sparks between them. Yu Wen glanced at his lips, which were a little bruised from that fiery kiss last night. He whispered, "Okay. I will be looking forward to it."
It was a whisper, but everyone could hear it. Li Yu clenched her fist in anger, but what could she do? She couldn’t pull them apart. She had already lost enough face as is. Yu Wen finished tying his shoelaces and got up.
He walked past Li Yu without even looking at her. "Find someone to clean this mess up," he said, and Alex nodded, looking so terrified to look at him. What he had just witnessed could have him working in the kitchen for months.
He knew what not to ask, but dang, how did things escalate to that point? When did their relationship develop to the point of sleeping together? For a monk like Yu Wen, who was celibate without even taking a devote oath, this was out of character.
The only person he had seen this close to him was Li Yu, but even with her, he kept her at arm’s length. So, who was this Zi Rui and what sort of poison had he fed the General?

"Go back."
Li Yu thought she was hearing things. She looked at him with a gaze so venomous it could kill. "Huh?"
Yu Wen didn’t need to repeat himself. He turned to his phone and dialed a number he had never called. Xiu Ying was a little surprised when she received his call. She had her people looking for Li Jun.
Since the system said Li Jun should be around Yu Wen, she sent her spies to find out. But all she heard back was that there was no sign of Li Jun. Of course, she knew that Li Jun must have changed his face, so she had them set up face scanning technology, the best that Aurelia had, but none of these people were masking their appearances.
She thought maybe the system was wrong. That bastard must be dead. That’s what she wanted to honestly believe. She hoped she was right. This call, however, was unexpected.
She made him wait, letting it ring until it stopped. This was just her giving him a taste of his own medicine. After all, she was the Imperial Queen of Aurelia, and these were war times. She was incredibly busy.
Yu Wen didn’t call her again. He just sent her a message. In the background, Li Yu was asking him with great urgency about who he was calling. She had a bad feeling, but she held onto a little hope that he wasn’t calling her mother.
He ignored her, and when she reached over to grab his phone, Yu Wen dodged and glared at her in warning. She took great steps away from him, her face as pale as a ghost. Yu Wen sent the message, and when Xiu Ying received it, her body trembled, and the phone fell to the ground with a clatter.
Her body shaking with rage, she turned to her attendant and, through gritted teeth, she asked, "Where is Li Yu?!" They all fell to the ground, prostrating themselves. They started begging for their lives.
"So you know where she is, huh? You helped her leave the imperial palace," she said, her voice murderous. They all denied it. From their knowledge, Li Yu was in her room, grounded. The people guarding her hadn’t reported her running away, so they really didn’t know that she had left.
