Chapter 2394: Chapter 2393: Assistance
Ling Feng was taken aback, but he still felt very touched inside, so he quickly accepted the copper mirror, "Thank you for your thoughtfulness, my friend."
After saying this, he thought for a moment and then said with a smile, "I don’t have anything of great commemorative value to give you, how about this, I still have some rice wine that I drank last night, I’ll give it to you!"
With that, he took out several boxes of rice wine from his Space Bracelet.
These were all fine brews, the kind not seen on the market, and they were already of high value on Earth.
However, Ling Feng did not intend to tell the other party the value of the wine; knowing it himself was enough.
But Gao Shan was very happy to see this and laughed heartily, saying, "Great, I was thinking I wouldn’t get to drink your wine anymore and felt quite lost. Now, with these, every time I drink it, I can think of you, my friend!"
"If you drink alone, these are enough to last you a long time." Yang Guang laughed.
Gao Shan nodded, "Don’t worry, I’ll keep them to myself and won’t give them to anyone else!"
When he said this, his junior brothers and sisters behind him suddenly looked speechless.
After storing away their things and finishing breakfast, everyone began to pack up and prepare to leave.
Ling Feng didn’t hurry to leave, said his farewells to the group, watched them jump off the giant rock, and only then returned to his tent.
Seeing Feiyan sitting still, he smiled and asked, "Why aren’t you packing up? Don’t you want to go back?"
"We can leave a bit later, right? As long as we get back today?" Feiyan said.
"Hmm, going back tomorrow is fine too."
Ling Feng smiled, then asked, "Why do you want to stay?"
"If we can leave tomorrow, I want to stay to see the Light of Xuan Yun again." Feiyan said.
"Why?"
Ling Feng sat down and looked at her, asking.
"I just want to see it. We rarely come here, and I don’t know when I’ll be able to come next." Feiyan said.
Ling Feng also knew the distance from here was indeed a bit far; ordinary people would probably take ten days to half a month to get here. Even flying would take half a day, which is indeed not easy.
So after thinking for a moment, Ling Feng nodded, "Alright, let’s stay another night then. Besides, there’s something I want to ask you."
Feiyan looked at him, "What do you want to ask?"
"Last night, when you were observing that glow, I was beside you and pushed you twice. Did you feel it at the time?" Ling Feng asked.
Feiyan was taken aback, asked blankly, "Did you? Why didn’t I feel anything?"
"Not even a little?"
Ling Feng was astonished and reached out to push her, "Just this much force. At the time, you were staring at the sky, but you didn’t look at me."
"..."
Feiyan was a bit dazed, "I have no memory of that at all!"
"Strange."
Ling Feng was even more bewildered.
Then he looked at Feiyan, "What exactly did you feel when you were watching the Light of Xuan Yun?"
"It’s like Gao Shan said, there’s a feeling of having my soul cleansed, very mysterious and comfortable."
Feiyan thought for a moment, then said, "Nothing else. Oh, and it felt like time passed quickly, it was over in a blink."
Upon hearing this, Ling Feng laughed bitterly, "A blink? You watched for at least four hours."
Feeling this matter was even more strange, he thought for a moment and said, "I must figure this out, it’s too strange!"
Feiyan also felt it was odd, so she asked, "How can you figure it out?"
"Let me think."
Ling Feng sat down to ponder, and after a while, he had a rough idea in his mind.
So he said to Feiyan, "Alright, I’ll head back to Lingjian Mountain first, and try to return by dusk."
"What are you going back for?" Feiyan asked.
"To bring someone over; she has mastered many unknown cosmic mysteries, perhaps she can solve the puzzle." Ling Feng said.
"Alright, I’ll wait for you."
Feiyan nodded after listening, then said, "Thank you."
"No problem."
Ling Feng smiled, didn’t prepare much, and directly jumped off the giant rock, then charged out of the valley alone.
Once he reached a place where he could fly outside, he immediately summoned the Ghost Dragon.
Flying on his own was not as convenient as riding on it; it’s not only worry-free and effortless but also faster.
Then Ling Feng stepped on the back of the Ghost Dragon and embarked on the journey back to Lingjian Mountain.
On the way, he thought it out, knowing he might have to stay in that valley for a while, but he couldn’t delay the matter of getting supplies from Earth, so he decided to only bring Xiao Xiao back, and let Mu Mu go to Earth to find Gu Li instead.
Back at his residence on Lingjian Mountain, he arranged it accordingly.
Mu Mu was initially a bit unhappy, but ultimately for the big picture, she agreed to Ling Feng’s request and went to Earth.
Xiao Xiao quickly left with him, and only when out of the Lingjian Mountain range did they mount the Ghost Dragon’s back and then returned.
Xiao Xiao already knew what kind of phenomenon the Light of Xuan Yun was during the journey, felt it was what Ling Feng said, just some kind of aurora.
Having not seen it in person, she didn’t know what was peculiar about the light.
The sun set, the earth gradually fell into darkness, Ling Feng and Xiao Xiao also returned to the outside of the valley.
Realizing they couldn’t fly in front and had to walk to enter, Xiao Xiao paused for a moment.
But she didn’t say anything, and after landing with Ling Feng, they immediately rushed inside.
Soon they returned to the giant rock, saw Feiyan sitting alone beside the campfire with a forlorn expression, and Ling Feng surprisingly noticed a unique sense of beauty.
Stepping forward, he smiled and said, "Have you been sitting here alone all day?"
"Yes, thank you both."
Feiyan saw that Xiao Xiao had come and nodded slightly towards her.
Xiao Xiao smiled and sat down, asking, "When can we see the Light of Xuan Yun?"
"It should be soon, once it’s completely dark around and the sky lights up, it will start." Ling Feng said.
"Alright, let’s see it later. I think I mostly know what’s going on."
Xiao Xiao said.
Seeing her being so serious and truly confident, Ling Feng nodded, "That’s good, we’re counting on you today! You must solve this mystery."
"Alright!"
Xiao Xiao smiled slightly and nodded firmly.
Not long after, just as Ling Feng said, as the edge of the starry sky became brilliant, a blue halo appeared again.
Feiyan looked up, involuntarily raising her head and staring, unable to look away.
And Xiao Xiao was almost the same at this moment; she was also instantly captivated.
Ling Feng saw this and was somewhat speechless, couldn’t help but whisper, "Are you also enchanted?"
"No."
Xiao Xiao looked at the sky and said softly, "Don’t worry, I won’t be captivated, but I need to observe carefully."
"Oh, then I am relieved."
Upon hearing this, Ling Feng immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
