Chapter 2393: Chapter 2392: Token

Eating and drinking, everyone chatted happily, and by now the sky had gradually darkened.

As the earth entered darkness mode, the starry sky suddenly became incredibly clear.

Ling Feng knew that the time here was synchronized with Earth, and the sun above was the real sun.

So the starry sky was naturally the same as what could be seen on Earth.

However, because the Xuanling Realm and Lingjian Mountain were inside the Chaos Sword, the altitude here was higher than Earth’s surface, which allowed for such a crystal-clear starry sky.

Yet, the mystical lights they spoke of earlier hadn’t appeared, so Yang Guang asked, "When does that light you mentioned appear?"

"Very soon, you’ll know in a bit," Gao Shan replied.

After a while, blue halos began to appear in the sky.

People put down their skewers and drinks, looked up at the sky.

Not long after the blue halos appeared, red and green halos appeared in succession, forming a curtain of light.

Ling Feng looked at this and it felt very much like the aurora he had seen before in the Arctic.

Logically, these people shouldn’t be curious about such an optical phenomenon, and he didn’t know why everyone considered this a spectacle.

But seeing Feiyan completely mesmerized, seemingly very fond of it, he didn’t ask further.

After the colorful halos filled the sky, Ling Feng suddenly felt a strange energy!

It wasn’t Spiritual Energy or Xuan Qi, but a very special feeling.

Turning to look at the crowd, he found everyone had an enraptured expression, seemingly completely captivated by the scenery.

Ling Feng felt a bit speechless, turning to glance at Feiyan.

Usually cold and aloof, she looked as excited as a fan seeing their idol, with eyes full of stars.

"Uh..."

Ling Feng felt something was off, reaching out to touch her arm.

Yet Feiyan didn’t react at all.

Pushed harder, Feiyan still didn’t look at him, her gaze locked onto the sky.

At this point, Ling Feng realized there was an issue, that the light wasn’t just that simple.

But he couldn’t use force to wake Feiyan, fearing irreversible consequences.

So, Ling Feng decided to wait and see, unsure if anything would happen next.

Like this, Ling Feng felt a bit like the only sober person among a drunken crowd, sitting beside them patiently waiting.

Time passed quickly, reaching midnight soon.

The lights in the sky suddenly flashed and then disappeared in an instant!

"Whew!"

Apart from Ling Feng, everyone let out a long breath.

And Ling Feng also relaxed as everyone seemed unchanged.

The light merely captivated them, having seemingly no effect on people.

"Ling, what do you think of the mystical lights?" Gao Shan asked.

"Pretty good," Ling Feng replied with a smile.

His words were a bit perfunctory, causing Gao Shan to pause momentarily before laughing, "Is it just pretty good?"

"Well, I didn’t feel anything particularly special."

Ling Feng smiled and asked, "I see everyone watching intently, I’m curious why you all enjoy viewing the mystical lights?"

Gao Shan was taken aback, thought for a moment and said with a smile, "Perhaps because you’re from Earth and unlike us, you don’t perceive the beauty of the mystical lights!"

He then added, "Watching these lights, we all feel a sense of spiritual cleansing."

"Really?"

Ling Feng listened, feeling bewildered, then gave a wry smile, "I honestly didn’t notice."

"It might be a matter of constitution."

Gao Shan said, stretching lazily, it was late, suggesting everyone turn in early.

The others showed signs of fatigue as well and started dispersing.

Ling Feng turned to look at Feiyan, seeing her also tired, he asked, "You should rest early as well?"

"Yeah."

Feiyan nodded without saying much, turned to her tent and crawled into her sleeping bag.

Perhaps due to fatigue, she even forgot to zip up the tent.

Ling Feng found it somewhat speechless, realizing something was off about her state.

Logically, with her current constitution, she wouldn’t be this tired even if she stayed up for days!

The problem surely lay with those auroras.

Ling Feng looked up at the sky, filled with doubt.

But he couldn’t think of how to resolve his doubts, so ultimately, he turned back to his tent.

Next morning soon arrived, Ling Feng woke up early, went out to find Feiyan and Gao Shan’s group still hadn’t risen.

Thinking it over, Ling Feng didn’t rush to pack, instead lighting a fire and taking Pearl Rice from his Space Bracelet.

As the porridge was cooked, its aroma spread and gradually awakened the others.

Seeing Feiyan come out of the tent, her fatigue gone, returning to her previous cool demeanor, Ling Feng was relieved.

Then he smiled, "Awake? Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah."

Feiyan nodded, looking at the fragrant white porridge, she curiously asked, "What kind of rice is this, why does it have a unique aroma?"

"This is something I brought from Earth, called Pearl Rice, it tastes great," Ling Feng replied.

Feiyan responded with an "Oh" and said, "You really know how to enjoy life."

"Really? I suppose that’s a compliment, right?" Ling Feng laughed.

"Of course!"

Feiyan nodded, sitting down beside him.

Their close proximity indicated in her heart, their relationship had grown much closer.

Ling Feng didn’t say much, inviting the people from Paradise Island over for porridge.

Despite being just white porridge, everyone was eating happily, praising Ling Feng’s cooking and the porridge’s delightful taste.

However, while eating, Gao Shan said to Ling Feng, "It’s a pity Paradise Island is far from Lingjian Mountain, and the two have hardly had any contact, it would be difficult to enjoy your culinary skills again in the future!"

Ling Feng chuckled at this, "If fate allows, we will meet again, it’s not that difficult."

"I hope so."

Gao Shan appeared somewhat wistful, surprisingly showing reluctance.

But then he said, "In a bit, we’ll be heading back, parting today, uncertain when we might meet again. I have something to give you, a token of our encounter."

With that, he retrieved something from his storage space.

It was a copper mirror, quite large.

Ling Feng observed and laughed, "I feel embarrassed."

"No need to be shy, I should thank you for your hospitality!"

Gao Shan laughed, continuing, "This mirror isn’t extraordinary, but it comes in male and female halves, with a total of two mirrors, my half is female. Even if we don’t meet again, perhaps our descendants might, and with these tokens they might share closer ties!"
