Chapter 228: Reinforcements
Seeing the sudden change, R immediately shouted, "Ten of you, after them! The rest will stay here and kill all these beasts with me. Don’t let them escape again!"
The group immediately split up. R rushed toward the bull and forged a blade before swinging it at the bull. The bull smashed him with a charge, their clash causing a shock wave that shook the area.
Auric realized that the situation wasn’t in their favor. If they didn’t leave, they would be surrounded by ten people, each with an adult-form avatar.
Auric and Ellia definitely couldn’t handle all of them. So, their only chance was to escape.
Auric thought about using his ’Edict,’ but there was no time. The moment he unleashed that power, the energy would fluctuate, which basically gave away their position.
"We need to go." Auric held Ellia’s hand again. At this time, he knew that he shouldn’t hide his Void Step anymore. Besides, this would bring an element of surprise.
Ellia nodded, trusting Auric’s judgment.
Both of them immediately rushed toward the main road.
"There they are!" Two of them spotted Auric and Ellia.
Fortunately, R and Professor Schad weren’t the ones chasing them. They wouldn’t be able to do anything against them.
On the other hand, Ellia once defeated someone with an adult-form avatar. It was a duel, but at least Ellia knew what they were capable of. Auric had witnessed that battle as well.
Hence, Auric first unleashed the Forest General and combined it with the earth element, turning the roots into metallic roots.

Four of them found themselves facing two strikes. These attacks stopped them in their tracks.
However, the other six continued onward, trying to catch Auric and Ellia.
Auric activated the Rain of Fire but used his lightning element.
He concentrated that power on two people, trying to buy one or two seconds from them.
Still, this meant four of them managed to catch up.
"Ellia!" Auric let her hand go.
"Got it." Ellia’s eyes turned bloodshot as she turned around and stopped before swinging her sword toward them.

One of them stopped Ellia with his blade, while another came from the left. Ellia opened her space storage and took out the scabbard, using it to block the attack.
Unfortunately, this was her limit. Two enemies managed to slip past and come for Auric.
They tried to overwhelm Auric from two directions.
Auric suddenly pointed both hands at each other. The right hand produced wind, while the left hand produced fire.

"Fire?!"
Auric combined them and clasped his hands, causing the wind to burst in a circle. The fire turned it into a blazing eruption.
"Kh!" One of them blocked it with his water element, but even though he was much stronger, the fire was actually so powerful that it could match his water element despite the elemental advantage. "What kind of fire is this? How can it be so strong?"
The other enemy thrust his spear, breaking the fire circle.
He broke through Auric’s defense and thrust his spear at Auric.
Auric’s body suddenly emitted gray energy.

Everyone was shocked. They never thought that Auric’s power was this amazing. Being able to copy other elements and integrate them showed how powerful he was. If Auric could copy many strong elements, he would become invincible.
That was why they had to capture Auric before he grew to become a terrifying existence.

They saw Auric and Ellia in the distance. Without wasting any more seconds, they leaped toward them, trying to catch up.
Auric, on the other hand, finally saw the main road.

Ellia gathered her power and unleashed her sword energy on the people to the right. At the same time, Auric unleashed the Night Arrow.
In this darkness, the Night Arrow would be harder to spot. Unfortunately, these people had upgraded their avatars to the adult form, meaning their senses had been enhanced.
They spotted the Night Arrow easily.
All of them avoided Ellia and Auric’s attacks and continued toward them.
