Daisy placed her hand in the man’s hand and let him escort her out of the hall.
As Lu Xian looked at Daisy’s and Logan’s retreating backs, he had the urge to walk up to them. But he stopped himself, knowing pretty well that he had no right to do that.
Before he confronted the mastermind behind this fiasco, he had no right t walk up to Daisy and talk to her, especially when he had stood on the side and watched when she need a hand.
With darkening face, he took the elevator and went to one of the guest rooms before knocking twice.
When the door did not open, he knocked repeatedly till he heard a ’click’.
The door opened and he was greeted by the sight of a woman wearing a silk robe as she stood at the door, a veil covered the lower half of her face as her hair fell in front of her shoulders, highlighting her cleavage that peeked through the parted robe. In one hand, the woman held a glass of wine.

The woman did not budge from the spot where she was standing, ’’I am having second thoughts about this partnership now. Do you know that?" she shrugged and walked towards the bed.
Lu Xian frowned, ’’What are you implying?"
’’That you are a dumbass,’’ the woman looked at him indifferently.
Lu Xian’s lips thinned but he did not say anything.
The woman sat on the bed and crossed one leg above the other as she spoke, ’’Do you admit that Daisy Chen was in a dead end today? No matter what she did, it would be a hit to her reputation.’’
Lu Xian did not say anything but his eyes seemed to be agreeing to her statements, ’’What about it?"
’’She needed someone,’’ the woman said calmly as she placed her wine glass on the bedside table, ’’And where was her man when she needed someone?"
Lu Xian’s eyes darkened but in the next moment, the woman pulled out a phone from the drawers and threw it at him. He caught it with one hand and when he looked at the phone, he saw a picture of Ryle holding some woman’s hand.
His brows furrowed and he kept sliding to the next pictures till he confirmed that these pictures were not fake. He knew it. How could that jerk be sincere towards Daisy? The kind of man who was probably used to having one woman on each side for each night would even settle for one woman? What a joke!
’’These pictures were sent to her before she came to this event. Her mind must have been chaotic. On top of that, the incident with the Si Family happened, heightening her already bubbling anxiety.
