Chapter 155: Wild child
’’Elder miss, are you going somewhere? The young miss also plans to leave today. Do you want to visit her before leaving?" the butler stopped Daisy.
Daisy looked upstairs for a moment before she shook her head, ’’No need,’’ With Maxim around, she had no worries regarding her sister and her nephew. They were only going to the Qin Family’s ancestral house and although she had not been there before, she believed she could pay a visit anytime she wanted to see her sister.
’’I am taking Angel with me to the company. Make necessary arrangements,’’ After giving the command to the Butler, Daisy turned around and walked out of the main door.
Secretary Han followed her in a daze.

’’The President has already left the country...’’
’’It might just be rumours. If he really left, then who would handle the company?"
’’It must be one of his daughters, who else?" one of the employees muttered in passing.
’’Daisy Chen and Diana Chen?’’ Another employee asked skeptically, ’’The latter is a famous socialite, sure, but recently I have come across her latest book release. She is a writer as well and although she has released very few books so far but all of them are bestsellers. She is married and the last time when she was spotted in the Annual party, she was pregnant as well.’’
’’I know right? It’s impossible for her to take over the company.’’
’’Yes, but the same is the case with the former. At least Diana has a good reputation in the socialite circle, but Daisy does not even have that. Moreover, she has been embroiled in many scandals as well. She ran away from her wedding and I have heard rumours that she had a child with some unknown man which is why the President disowned her.’’
At this point, more and more employees had gathered near the desk of the person who seemed to be having the most ’tea’.
’’You mean, the engagement with Lu Family?"
’’What else? I have heard it’s a fully fledged betrothal, not just an ordinary engagement but a pity that she cheated on the third young master of the Lu family and even got pregnant outside. She did not even abort when she could and gave birth to the wild child...’’

The soft clicking of the heels against floor were like tiny firecrackers that went off uniformly.
’’Cough... Cough...’’ Secretary Han coughed twice but the crowd was too busy in their gossip to notice their presence.
The moment Daisy had stepped inside the company, she heard wild rumours about the Chen Family and herself at every turn but she seemed unbothered even when Secretary Han was panicking inwardly. However, just as his panicking heart was calming down when he saw her approaching the elevator, she suddenly stopped and started walking towards a spot where the crowd was gathered.
Secretary Han could not immediately figure out why she was triggered suddenly when she seemed to be treating these malicious slanders as air.
But suddenly, it dawned on him when he saw their little missy’s sleeping face.
’Wild child’
The secretary’s face turned a faint shade of green. These people. They could mess around anywhere but they had to scratch and poke the dragon’s inverse scales.
After all, who did not know that little missy Angel was elder miss’ bottom line? She even alienated herself from Master and Madam for so long because of the little girl.
Afraid that the employees would cause more blunder, he kept coughing vigorously but the group of pigs obviously were born without brains and they stopped talking.
He opened his mouth to cough again but Daisy stopped in her tracks.
’’Go to a hospital,’’ she said without looking back at him.
Secretary Han choked on his alive, torn between tears and more tears. Spare me, missy! I haven’t even gotten accustomed to the changes in the weather of the company. Can you not tease this poor secretary like this?
However, Daisy, again was very sincere in her suggestion. Environment is not as pure anymore and a persisting cough can lead heart and lungs disease easily. She felt like it was better for the man to see a doctor.
However, Daisy’s diagnosis of Secretary Han remained in her mind and the man was completely clueless about it. Or else, it was not known whether the man would have ended up coughing a mouthful of blood.
’’Why do you think she would cheat on a young master from the Lu family? If the marriage was successful, then it would only add to the glory of the Chen Family. It was such a golden opportunity then why would she do something so foolish?"
The person who was distributing the ’tea’ continued with a knowing-it-all tone, ’’From what I have heard, she has always been a person like that. She did not really stay with her family for a long time and soon moved out when she got the chance. And to be honest, the President and his wife were both displeased with her greatly...’’
’’Then, it’s impossible that she would inherit the President’s position after his departure...’’

The sound of the tapping on a hard surface were neither loud nor soft but it got everyone’s attention because followed by it was Secretary Han’s cold voice.
’’Is there some gathering going on?"
The employees did not give Daisy a second glance but the moment they saw Secretary Han, they dispersed like a flock of birds to their own spots.
But even after returning to their seats, their attention was still stuck on the scene because they realized that Secretary Han had not left today and accompanying him was a woman who seemed to be holding a child in her arms.
The woman was dressed in a solid dark-beige bodycon dress that went past her knees and her hair was tied in a messy low bun. They could not see her face because while one side of her face was covered by the loose strands of her, the other side was covered by the bunny ears that were sprouting from the baby wrap.
The keen eyed employees, however, spotted a matching checked blazer to the woman’s dress being held by Secretary Han.
They did not dare to gossip but many of them had similar thoughts. Was this woman Secretary Han’s wife? It must be. They were surprised because Secretary Han held an important position in the company, being extremely close to the President so his private affairs also were a form of attraction for them. Hence, they were surprised that they never realized that Secretary Han was a family man.
If Secretary Han was aware of their little thoughts then he would have rushed up to them to beat the shit out of each one.
"What’s your name?" Daisy questioned the woman who was standing at her desk.
The woman who had contributed the most in the ’tea’ distribution did not seem as old but Secretary Han noted that his guess was not wrong because this was the person who had referred to little missy as ’wild child’. As expected, the elder miss was provoked by it.
The woman did not pay much attention to Daisy but turned to Secretary Han and spoke up, ’’Even if there is something, you can’t bring outsiders to the company and make them interfere with the company affairs just because you are relatives,’’ her words confirmed the thoughts of others because the woman also had similar thoughts as she thought that this newcomer must be related to Secretary Han in some way because not only was she not wearing any remarkable clothes but her appearance also seemed to be very vague. No diamonds, no hairdo.
If she did not speak up just now, nobody would have noticed them.
Secretary Han felt his scalp go numb. What relatives?! This is my great little ancestor, you blind fools! After having been ’threatened’ about being fired, he was already walking on eggshells to keep his little job but these people were obviously conspiring against him.
But before he could attempt to show them their places, Daisy, who had been quiet spoke up again, ’’What’s your name?" her question remained unchanged.
But the employee looked at Daisy rather dismissively, ’’Are you worthy of knowing my name?"
The place drowned in silence and Secretary Han felt like he was floating on poisonous clouds. He did not dare to breath lest he was poisoned.
Normally, even around Helian Chen, the man was not as intimidated because he knew the man to some extent after staying by his sides for some moment. But when he faced Daisy, who was not only unpredictable but also very calm and unmoved regardless of the situation, Secretary Han could not overcome the fear of ’unknown’.
At this moment, there were sounds of approaching footsteps from outside the place.
