Chapter 44: His Weakness

Somewhere...

A man was laying on the bed with a three woman laying right on top of him.

He kissed, touched and spanked their cheeks while they moaned in pain.

He took his time, nurturing every single one of them, and right when he was about to get down into action, the door to the room burst open.

"Boss!"

"Are you blind? Can’t you see that I’m busy?"

"I’m sorry, boss, but this is urgent. It’s about the mission."

Levi’s eyes instantly turned sharp.

Without wasting a second, he pushed the women off of him, sending them flying on the floor.

They all groaned in pain but he didn’t bat an eyelash at them.

Levi quickly wore his robes and stormed out of the bedroom with heavy footsteps.

He passed through a few doors before he arrived at the main lounge where there were two men who were on the floor, panting and bleeding from their legs. They looked like they’d just survived hell.

"Where are the others?" Levi questioned through gritted teeth.

"They were too many. We couldn’t handle every single one of them.

"And Daemon? Did you kill him?" He questioned.

That was the only thing that mattered to him. If his men died or not, he didn’t care. But if Daemon was dead, then their deaths didn’t go to waste.

Both men paused, glancing at each other as if debating which one of them should answer the question.

They’d been sent there to burn the warehouse so as to get Daemon’s attention and have him come by himself, so they could kill him. But somehow, they’d all failed.

"Is Daemon dead?" Levi questioned, his tone low and threatening.

Both men gulped down their saliva and they shook their heads in unison.

"We tried to, boss. We really tried. Magic shot at him but he managed to only end up with a graze."

"And where’s Magic?" Levi questioned.

"He’s dead. Daemon already killed him. We ran away when we saw that the others were starting to get captured, ready to be killed off. We really tried everything but Daemon is just too strong and smart for us."

Levi clenched his fist hard in anger, his knuckles almost turning white.

He wasn’t surprised that Daemon would manage to survive the attack.

He always survived everything he’d sent along his way no matter what it was, and that alone made his blood boil nonstop.

After what he’d done to him, it was only right that Daemon died. After betraying him, death was the only way to resolve the problem.

"Boss, I think there’s a much easier way to go about this," the man who’d called him earlier said.

Levi turned to him with a cocked up eyebrow.

"What way?"

"I read on social media that Daemon Langford is now married to a very beautiful woman. We can use her to get to him."

Levi wasn’t on social media, so he wasn’t up to date with the stories that circulated on there.

However, he never thought Daemon would get married so soon. He’d just left, given himself a weakness, something his enemies would use to get to him.

"Show me the woman."

Quickly, the man who made the comment reached out into his phone and searched up Arianna Wesley, then handed the phone to Levi.

Levi stared at the picture, and was immediately taken aback by her beauty.

"She’s Logan Henderson’s ex wife because he cheated on her. She and Daemon got married not long ago. From the looks of things, it might be an arranged marriage since they got married not long after she got divorced from her ex husband," he explained.

Levi stared at her pictures for a while. She was undoubtedly beautiful, the kind that would have men lining up everywhere she went.

"Wesley?" He thought out loud. "Any relations to Jeremy Wesley, the Don of La Cosa Nostra in New York?" He questioned.

Trevor, the man, shook his head.

"I doubt it. Jeremy Wesley only has three children and Arianna Wesley doesn’t seem to be one of them. She just so happened to have a similar last name as them."

Levi was relieved.

He knew about Mr. Wesley. He was a ruthless man with lots of creepy stories about him which people heard in the underground world.

Recently, Levi heard that Crisanto Sanchez, the leader of a Mexican Cartel, had waged war against him.

Although, Mr. Wesley might look harmless right now since he was busy trying to win the war, that didn’t mean Levi was ready to have a whole Don as his enemy.

Daemon was more than enough for him to handle. Making another great enemy was like using his own hand to hold a knife to his neck. It was a suicidal act.

"Good. Get her. We’ll use her to get Daemon to surrender," he instructed. "Make sure she arrives in one piece."

Trevor instantly nodded.

"But before you leave," Levi said, making the man halt. "Get me a gun."

Trevor didn’t hesitate.

He pulled out a gun from his pants and handed it to Levi.

Levi pointed the gun at the two men who stared at him in horror.

"Boss..."

"I sent you on a mission to kill someone. You didn’t fulfill that and decided to come back. Did you really think that you wouldn’t face any punishment for that?"

Their eyes widened. They’d completely forgotten how ruthless their boss was.

He never took any mercy on them.

"Please..." Both of them pleaded.

"I think it’s already too late for you to be saying that, don’t you think?"

They parted their lips to say something, but Levi didn’t give them the opportunity to.

He pulled the trigger twice, each bullet piercing their skulls, splattering their brain guts to the floor.

Blood pooled beneath them, staining the clean floors.

"Get the servants to clean this up," he said, handing Trevor back his gun.

Trevor nodded once again before he left the lounge.

The next morning...

Arianna was sitting at a cafe, Velvet Bean Café, sipping her newest favorite strawberry milkshake as she stared into her phone once in a while, both checking the time and anxiously waiting for a message.

She glanced out the transparent glass door, but the person she was patiently waiting for hadn’t arrived yet.

"Where is she?" She mumbled under her breath.

Arianna tapped harder on the table, her other fingers inching closer to sending the woman another message, reminding her of her meeting.

After a few seconds, Arianna sighed, deciding to do so.

However, right when she was about to send her a text, she saw a figure walking towards her.

"I’m so sorry I’m late," the lady apologized as she took a seat. "Traffic is terrible these days. Can you believe I left the house thirty minutes early just so I can skip it only for it to trap me in it for almost half an hour more?"

Arianna smiled at the woman.

Cassandra Rhodes.

A top model, who’s been in the industry for a few years now. She’d started around the same time as Vivian, so Arianna figured she would be the best person to call over and have a serious conversation with.

"So," she placed her bag on the seat next to hers. "Why did you want to see me?"

Arianna took a breath before she responded.

"I know you’ve been wanting to win next year’s Best Model Award."

Cassandra instantly stiffened as she blinked her bush green eyes at Arianna.

"But you haven’t been able to because of Vivian. She’s your main rival."

Cassandra was also signed into Starlife Entertainment around the same time so the netizens believed they worked neck and neck.

Unfortunately, they were out to snap each other’s necks when one was watching.

Cassandra had come from a lowly family which meant she needed to put food on the table since she was the oldest daughter. Her father had left them long ago, making her the breadwinner of her family.

So, she took up modeling. Due to her blonde hair and green eyes, coupled with her height which was a solid 6’1, she had a very good chance of becoming their generation’s best model, until Vivian happened.

During their first nomination for the award, Vivian had thrown Cassandra down the stairs so she could break her legs which led to her inactivities from a few events that could help boost her performance.

Not only that, there had been a rumor that Cassandra was sleeping with one of the judges. So if she won the award, that would only be proving the rumors right.

Vivian had gotten her award, and ever since then, Cassandra had held a grudge on her.

"What exactly are you telling me, Arianna?" Cassandra asked with narrowed eyes.

Arianna leaned back into her seat, a small smile on her lips.

"I’m sure by now, you already know how Vivian had betrayed me and I want revenge. You want revenge too. So, why don’t we both work together to bring Vivian down?"
