Chapter 41: Footages

"I’ve been doing alright. It’s all in the past now, and there’s nothing that can be done about it anymore," Arianna started, then she took Leah’s hands and held it in hers. "But I need you to do me a favor about Vivian."

Leah held her gaze for a while. "Do you want me to terminate my contract with her?"

Arianna shook her head. That was a very good way of dealing with Vivian. Terminating her contract with Starlife Entertainment, the biggest company in the city and Europe meant that half of her career was over. But then again, Vivian could still get jobs and was also very likely to get signed into another company in less than two weeks.

The effect wasn’t going to last long on her because she was sure that with the past years that Vivian was in the industry, she must have built a very strong connection to back her up, her family being first in line to come to her aid now, especially since she’s pregnant and they wouldn’t want her stressing herself.

"That’s not what I want you to do for me," Arianna said, then she held Leah’s gaze who was staring right in her eyes, patiently waiting for her to finish her words. "I want you to keep the records of all the moments that Vivian has been rude to her juniors. I don’t want to get rid of them like I’d asked you to."

Leah blinked at Arianna, completely baffled by her request.

Like everyone, extreme success does bring out the worst in people. They would stomp on those weaker or less talented than them.

It was the same case with Vivian.

Being at the top list of well-sorted models, she had built a kind of ego around herself that made her feel like she was the best to have around and the one that should only be around.

Thanks to the CCTV’s surrounding the company, recording every single activity that occurred daily, a few of them involved the moments when Vivian had bullied a few of her juniors.

It was either she treated them like trash, cursed at them or got physical by slapping them on the face just to show she could get away with anything.

Vivian believed she made Starlife entertainment because the company started to become well known a few months after she’d signed with them. She was never reprimanded for her actions and simply got away with them, but what she didn’t know was that it was Arianna who pleaded with Leah to keep her.

Arianna had tried talking some sense into Vivian back then, but the latter never listened and continued to act while Arianna pleaded with Leah to get rid of the evidence because if others got their hands on those footages, Vivian’s career was over. And that was the last thing Arianna needed for her best friend.

Leah had listened once again, granting her wishes while she consoled her junior artists. It was a huge risk keeping someone as Vivian, but she’d done so nonetheless because Arianna had pleaded with her.

"You want the footage?" Leah asked, hoping she was getting the message right.

Arianna nodded. "Every single moment of Vivian bullying the juniors, I want it captured and sent to me. She has completely forgotten who got her this job, who made her so big so she thinks she can do whatever she wants and get away with it, especially after betraying me."

Arianna’s plan was to destroy Vivian’s career and make sure she never gets a job after she was done with her, not even from overseas.

It was the only best way to deal with her.

Leah smirked. "I’ll inform the security team immediately about that. Once everything is cleared, I’ll terminate her contract with Starlife so she doesn’t bring us down with her."

The corner of Arianna’s lips perked up, glad that Leah was still willing to accept her requests despite everything.

Arianna parted her lips to say something when the door to the office suddenly opened without a knock being heard.

A pair of heels clicked on the flooring before a figure appeared.

"I want to discuss something with y—" Vivian instantly froze stiff when she saw Arianna sitting right next to Leah. She was shocked, beyond shocked with her jaws dangling off her chin. "What are you doing here?"

"Why? Surprised to see me?" Arianna asked, crossing her legs and leaning back at the couch as she watched Vivian clench and unclench her fist, unsure of what to do next.

Then she glanced at Leah and then back at Arianna.

"Don’t listen to any nonsense she tells you. She’s lying."

Leah cocked up an eyebrow at her. "And how would you know that if you didn’t even hear what we were saying?" Her gaze hardened on Vivian. "And how many times do I have to remind you to knock before entering my office? Have you forgotten that I’m still your boss?"

Vivian rolled her eyes. "As if you can do anything about it. You can’t, and we both know that. Even if you wanted to, you can’t afford to kick me out because you know fully well that the success of this company came through me. If it hadn’t been for my beauty and hard work, your company wouldn’t have made it past the top 30 best sort out modeling companies."

Arianna snickered as she resisted the urge to not laugh. Vivian was truly full of herself.

Indeed, her success has helped. But what she was forgetting was that she wasn’t the only one who’d helped. Her fellow models had helped as well, but because she was crowned as the highest paid and won Best Model Award almost every year, she believed she was the best.

"Now tell me, what was she talking to you about?" Vivian demanded while her gaze landed coldly on Arianna. "Has she come to spoil my name? Or to accuse me of one or two again?"
