Chapter 27: Meredith’s Husband
After a short nap, Max woke to find himself covered with a blanket and Liliana working at her desk. He cleared his throat and turned to look at her.
"Lily, when did I fall asleep?" He knew very well when he fell asleep, but to keep up the rouse he could only pretend.
Liliana stopped typing and turned to him. "You’ve been asleep for a while. I put your clothes in the wash; they’re ready to go. And we can leave after you take a bath."
"Take a bath? Why?"
"Well..." His face turned red. "Don’t ask, you just need to take a bath. Take my word for it."
Max didn’t complain. He did feel like taking a bath. The sheets were the same ones she had soaked through. His and her cum were on his thigh. It wasn’t pleasant.
He shrugged, stood from the bed, and walked into the bathroom naked.
As soon as the door closed, Liliana let out a sigh of relief, and Max on the other side couldn’t help smiling. He thought about seeing her Friday and decided he would try it when he was ’awake’ since she responded so well.
Another half an hour passed before they were both ready to leave. As per usual, the money was sent to Max’s account. He smiled a little. It was another $5000.
His services were getting more expensive these days. Too bad once the debt was gone, he would be gone too. However, he did think about keeping someone on retainer. But he wasn’t sure which of them would want to continue another relationship that wasn’t contractual.
Max and Liliana sat in the backseat of the car, the driver in the front seat.
Liliana cleared her throat, "Max, about our session on Friday. I wanted to know if you had any plans for the following day. I wanted to extend it to Saturday."
"Saturday?" Max took out his phone and checked his calendar. He knew he had time, but that didn’t mean Likiana needed to know that.
He never hid what he did from the women. If he was going to sign a contract, things needed to be out in the open. The best thing was for him to disclose the other partners. Though not by name, he still needed to let each woman know what he was doing.
When he finished checking for nonexistent events on his calendar, he turned to Liliana.
"I’m free Saturday. Is it necessary for me to stay with you, or would you like me to leave on Friday and return on Saturday?"
"Stay. I have a guest room, and you don’t have to worry about going back and forth."
"Alright." Max penciled it into his calendar, then he kissed Liliana on the cheek. Before stepping out of the car, he gave her a quick kiss on the lips. Her eyes widened. "I’ll see you Friday."
Before she could protest, Max closed the door and headed towards the cafe. He touched his stomach. He wanted to find something to eat. It wasn’t time for him to start freeloading. There were still another two hours before six pm.
His hand reached for the handle of the door when another hand grapped his wrist. It wasn’t a woman’s hand. Max furrowed his brows and shook the man’s hand off his.
He turned, about to curse at whoever it was. When he saw the man’s face, Max’s expression fell. Uh-oh. Looks like I’m in trouble.
The man before him was none other than Meredith’s husband.
He thought he had shaken this man off. Was he here to beat him for fucking his wife? He already blocked her; what more did this man want?
IF he came here for a fight, Max had no intention of letting him off easy. He had enough stamina to take on a forty-something-year-old who obviously didn’t go to the gym regularly.
"What do you want?" Max asked, his jaw tight.
"I only want to talk. I’m not here looking for a fight. I’ve been trying to find you. While you aren’t necessarily hard to find. You’re all over the place. I wasn’t even sure you would come back to the cafe today."
Max listened. This wasn’t the voice of an angry man. He was steady. He looked at Max as though he was just another face on the street. But there was one thing Max noticed. His stance. He had the stance of a man, ready to walk into a negotiation he wasn’t sure he could win.
The years with his sugar mamas have been kind to him. He learned numerous things about negotiations and power plays. While he may not be privy to everything, he could come up with his own information when everything was pieced together.
So when he heard the man say he wanted to talk, Max didn’t panic. Instead, he pulled open the cafe door and walked inside. The man followed behind him.
They didn’t go to a booth; instead, they confirmed that a private room was available and used that instead.
Max ordered some food from the waiter, then turned to Meredith’s husband.
"Do you want something?"
The man sat across from Max; he wasn’t sure what to expect from this man who was fucking his wife. A man stacked high with debt, doing what he can to make ends meet.
He wanted to be disgusted with him, but he found Max had a solid reputation. The clients he had were respectable people. The only point of contention between the two was him having his dick inside Meredith.
"Just coffee."
After the waiter closed the door, Max turned towards the man. He leaned against his side of the seating and spread his hands. A smirk played on his lips as he looked at the man across from him.
"So, how can I help you today?" As he asked, he reached for a glass of water on the table.
The man didn’t bother to beat around the bush. He placed a cheque on the table, and the next words he said made Max choke.
"Name’s Valentine. I need you to keep fucking my wife."
Max, still coughing, looked at the man incredulously. He wondered if he had died or fallen asleep in the twilight zone.
What man wants another man fucking his wife?
