Chapter 2141: Chapter 2342: I Want to Eat Noodles!!!
Hao Jian unlocked the door and entered the house, being careful with every movement to avoid disturbing Xiaohai’s sleep. But as he tiptoed into the living room, relying on the faint glow of his phone screen in the pitch-dark room, he noticed someone lying on the couch.
This person was none other than Li Weiwei, who was lying on the couch, seemingly asleep, with her phone in hand resting on her belly. She had clearly dozed off while playing on her phone. What puzzled him was why she would choose to sleep on the couch when there’s a perfectly good bed.
The couch was comfortable for lying down, but not for sleeping. However, seeing Li Weiwei so peacefully asleep, he didn’t want to disturb her sweet dreams. Noticing she wasn’t covered by anything, he quietly opened his bedroom door and fetched a blanket from his bed.
She can’t stay uncovered, or she’ll catch a cold. So he took a blanket and gently placed it over her.
But unexpectedly, as soon as he draped the blanket over Liang Xiaohan, it startled her awake. She opened her eyes suddenly, looked around in a daze, picked up the blanket, and slowly sat up.
"You’re back!" Liang Xiaohan said.
Hao Jian hadn’t anticipated waking her up; if he had known, he wouldn’t have covered her with a blanket. That way, she might have had a good sleep. He nodded, hummed in agreement, and said, "Why are you sleeping in the living room? What if you catch a cold? Your cousin certainly won’t let me off the hook."
"Oh!" Liang Xiaohan was still in a sleepy state, "I watched a horror movie and got a bit scared, didn’t dare to sleep alone. I was waiting for you to come back, then I fell asleep on the couch while playing on my phone."
Liang Xiaohan explained, and hearing this, Hao Jian realized she was waiting for him to return, and felt a surge of guilt. He said, "Okay, I’m back now. Hurry up and get into bed. Sleeping here in the middle of the night without covering yourself can easily make you catch a cold, you know that."
Liang Xiaohan nodded, unexpectedly not arguing with Hao Jian for once. She then looked up at him with eager eyes and said, "Uh... I’m a bit hungry, can you cook some noodles for me?"

Hao Jian said, "You’re eating noodles this late? Aren’t you afraid of gaining weight?"
Liang Xiaohan shook her head, saying, "I’d rather get fat than starve. Hurry up and make some noodles for me, and put lots of green onions in it; that’ll make it taste even better."
Normally, when Liang Xiaohan wanted him to do something, she was straightforward and never held back. Today, her attitude was surprisingly good, turning into a request. With no reason to refuse, since she wasn’t afraid of gaining weight eating this late, he decided to make her a bowl.
He walked over and turned on the living room lights, then said to her, "Alright, alright, sit here, I’ll go make you a bowl of noodles now. Lots of green onions, right? Luckily, we have plenty of fresh green onions at home."
"Mm!" Liang Xiaohan nodded.
Having said that, Hao Jian rolled up his sleeves and began busying himself in the kitchen with the noodles. While he busied himself, he was unaware that outside, Liang Xiaohan was watching him intently, wondering to herself. Was her cousin blessed by the Milky Way or something? How else could she have found someone as good as Hao Jian? As she mused, her thoughts began to wander, and her sleepiness dissipated, leaving her more alert.
In just those few minutes, she thought about a lot of things—things many people her age might not ponder—but she did. As she was lost in thought, a familiar aroma suddenly wafted over, arousing her appetite.
She was already hungry, and as soon as she smelled the aroma, it drew her in, her gaze shifting directly. She saw Hao Jian carrying a steaming, fragrant bowl of noodles out of the kitchen, placing it on the table, and beckoning her over to eat.
She smiled and got up to eat the noodles.
"Eat up, digest for a while, and then get to sleep; you have classes tomorrow, and it’s already late," Hao Jian said.
Liang Xiaohan nodded and picked up the chopsticks, focusing intently on eating the noodles. Hao Jian, seeing this, said nothing, realizing the little girl was truly hungry; otherwise, she wouldn’t eat so ravenously. He sat there watching her eat.
Liang Xiaohan, unaffected, ate her noodles peaceably, not bothered by Hao Jian sitting next to her. In just a few minutes, she finished the large bowl of noodles, looking satisfied afterward, she wiped her mouth with a napkin and then patted her belly. Being full felt genuinely nice.
"Finished eating, right? Then I’ll go wash up. You take a moment to digest and go to sleep." Hao Jian said.
For some reason, Liang Xiaohan was particularly quiet at this moment. When she heard Hao Jian’s words, she just nodded silently and said "mm", then didn’t say another word, which was unlike her usual self. Maybe it was because of the night, it was already too late, and she was quite tired, so she didn’t have much desire to talk.
After Hao Jian finished speaking, he didn’t pay her any more attention, picked up the dishes and went to the kitchen to tidy up, then went to the bathroom to take a shower. After finishing all this, he came out drying his hair with a towel. Liang Xiaohan was already not in the living room, and the door to her room was closed; she must have gone to her room to rest.
Seeing this, Hao Jian dried his hair until it was almost dry, then turned off all the lights, and went back to his bedroom to sleep. Not much happened today, but it was quite strange, a bit tiring, and there were things to do tomorrow, so he didn’t think much about it. He lay down, closed his eyes, and soon fell asleep.
The next night passed like this. As usual, they got up on time and both went to school for class. Liang Xiaohan sometimes paid attention in class, sometimes not, but Hao Jian was either sleeping or daydreaming most of the time. The time passed rather quickly.
The day’s classes quickly ended, and during the evening self-study session, Hao Jian found out when he went to the bathroom that Li Weiwei was out dealing with something and wasn’t at school, so he simply slipped away. He sent a message to Liang Xiaohan, and then he was off.
After leaving school, he sent a message to Baldy, telling him to meet at the restaurant at the school gate, and he’d wait for him there. He arrived at the restaurant, ordered some dishes and a few bottles of wine, and within a minute or two, Baldy walked in with two people, spotted him, and came over.
"Brother Hao!" Baldy and the two guys with him greeted Hao Jian.
Because it wasn’t an official dinner, Baldy only brought two people who were with him. After sitting down, the three of them looked at Hao Jian.
"Let’s eat." Hao Jian said, and then he picked up his chopsticks and started eating.
Since Hao Jian started eating, they didn’t feel as restrained, picked up their chopsticks, and began eating too. One of the guys stood up to open the wine, first pouring a glass for Hao Jian, then for Baldy, and then for himself and the guy next to him, before sitting down to eat quietly.
After everyone had a glass of wine, Baldy looked at Hao Jian and suddenly asked, "Brother Hao, what did you call me over for?"

Upon hearing this, Hao Jian didn’t waste time and asked, "How’s that thing you talked about yesterday going?"
Baldy responded, "Everyone contributed, so the rewards were divided based on effort. Black San and Qiu Lang got the biggest shares, Big Rotten Fortune got a fair amount too, Wumao and Afei split one piece, and the rest was given to me. Originally, everyone said they’d give you a piece, but you didn’t want it. Yet, everyone left a piece for you, and now I’m handling it. I was just about to tell you about it, Brother Hao."
Baldy was about to continue, but Hao Jian waved him off and said, "I don’t want any territorial profits. Since it’s been handed over to you, you handle it. It’s best for me, as it’s less hassle."
Baldy didn’t know what to say, so he replied, "Alright, if that’s what you want, Brother Hao, I’ll manage it for you for now. If you ever want it, you can take it anytime."
Hao Jian nodded, then didn’t speak further, and everyone started eating and drinking again.
After a while, Hao Jian looked up at Baldy and suddenly said, "Hey, there’s something I want you to do this Friday, will you do it?"
Baldy heard this, put down the wine glass, and without even asking about the matter, said, "Brother Hao, just say the word. I won’t decline. Whatever you need, I’ll do it."
Hao Jian was a bit surprised that Baldy was so loyal and good-natured.
He didn’t realize that just the Black Card of Huaxia Bank was enough to shock Baldy, and on top of that, he led a group to take down the Axe Gang, which was an even bigger shock for them.
An invisible towering image had been built up, so naturally, if Hao Jian wanted Baldy to do something, Baldy was more than willing to do it.
