Chapter 965: Part 2: The Group’s Shock

Jeremy Night was having food. He could tell that the count of people gazing at him was increasing. They must be wondering how he was able to survive the wilderness.

On the other hand, Rick and his friends were close to being traumatized. Because they had followed Jeremy Night’s tracks to find and injure him.

They thought Jeremy Night had seen them. Rick recalled the scene again in his mind, when one of his friends stepped on a twig.

It made a sound. After hearing that, the hyenas turned around and Jeremy Night looked towards them as well. So, there was eye contact.

They had shamelessly run away from the place.

Now that Jeremy Night was alive and kicking, they had a new problem. They didn’t know whether Jeremy Night carried a grudge or not.

They left the place silently. They didn’t want to attract attention toward themselves.

At the same time, Jeremy Night felt a few gazes disappear all of a sudden. He casually looked towards the place. He saw five people leaving.

When a few of them turned their heads, they made eye contact. Jeremy knew these people. They were the ones who had fled from the hyenas.

Rick and the others quickly left the place.

Jeremy pondered. If anyone planned to kill him, then why would they send Tier-5 Beast Tamers? It was well-known information that he could fight across Tiers.

So, he thought their appearance was a coincidence. After finishing his food, he went back to his room.

Not long after, he received his rewards. The credit points were received. His ranking on the leaderboard shot up again.

It stunned the people nearby. They were paying attention to the rankings, but they didn’t expect Jeremy Night’s ranking to jump all of a sudden.

A sudden commotion occurred. Everyone already knew about Jeremy Night’s rapid increase in rank. They just didn’t expect him to complete another difficult mission so soon.

The news began to spread each year. Even the second and third-year students were hearing his name.

At this point in time, there was no secret related to Jeremy Night’s talent. Everyone knew about it.

Apparently, one of the elders had leaked it. Now it was known to everyone. So, everyone thought Jeremy Night’s ability also came from powerful lifeline beasts.

No one knew about Jeremy Night’s lifeline beasts. There was no report of anyone seeing them. Even the elders weren’t aware of it.

So, they thought Jeremy Night used a powerful lifeline beast to fight across Tiers. Now that another difficult mission was completed, they thought most of the contribution was made by the lifeline beast.

Only Jeremy Night knew the truth. Though the lifeline beast didn’t fight itself, the starlight power from the beast helped him slay the beasts.

Evening

Jeremy Night went to the training facility. The second and third years were practicing at this time. The early years were fewer here.

His arrival caught the attention of the senior students. They saw through the strength of Jeremy Night right away.

Because they all had their lifeline beasts in their mental zones, Jeremy Night’s strength was exposed by the beasts.

Knowing that Jeremy Night might be close to becoming a Tier-4 Beast Tamer, they were shocked.

It was not easy to break through the ranks. It took a lot of accumulation and time. Even the small stages in between were hard to break through.

Yet, they were shocked right now. They understood that Jeremy Night might have already broken through multiple ranks.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night found an empty room and entered inside. He knew the seniors were curious, but he had little interaction with them.

He closed the door and began his blade practice. His blade skill had long since entered the intermediate stage, but he wanted to go further.

So, he decided to push his intermediate blade skills to the advanced stage. It could only happen with regular practice.

"Explosive Steps" and "Feather Steps" were both life-saving movement techniques. Feather Steps saved him from fatigue; he was able to move longer because of it.

Whereas the Explosive Steps were helpful in battles. By using the technique, he was able to execute sudden acceleration.

The movement had caught many beasts off guard.

He practiced until late at night. When his body reached its limit, he ended the practice. He decided to do another mission tomorrow as well.

While he was doing missions, the others on the leaderboard rankings were working hard as well. Their ranks were improving. If he took a long break, then he would be left behind by them.

So, he couldn’t take a long break. Now he understood why the seniors rarely stayed at the base. The leaderboard rankings were pushing everyone.

Meanwhile

Elder John was keeping track of Jeremy Night. He learned from Smith that Jeremy Night had completed the escort mission.

The royal lion cubs were safe and doing well. They would become lifeline beasts for powerful family kids in the top three zones.

Elder John smiled. He thought Jeremy Night had done good for himself indirectly.

If the contract ceremony was successful, then he could ask for help from those families in the future.

Not only that, but his friend Brian was also getting updates on Jeremy Night. His friend was impressed after seeing the rankings.

His friend’s opinion had started to change. Only a few people knew that Jeremy Night was a STRIKER, meaning he couldn’t use his lifeline beast in combat.

He didn’t know the exact reason, but in the history of STRIKERS, it was a common thing.

Their beasts had powerful abilities and could aid their beast tamer, but they were not combat beasts despite having a strong bloodline.

He and Brian thought it was the same case with Jeremy Night.
