Chapter 951: Exploring the market

4th Zone, City-A

Jeremy Night followed the staff to the Manager’s room. He arrived in front of the room. The staff then told him to enter.

Creak!

He then opened the door and walked inside. He saw a middle-aged man sitting behind the desk. His hair and eyes were golden in color.

He looked majestic like a lion. He wouldn’t be surprised if the Manager’s lifeline beast was a lion beast.

"So you are Jeremy Night. I heard from John about you. Take your seat first,"the manager said.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night sat on the chair. He looked toward the person.

"My name is Brian. It’s nice to meet you," After saying that, he observed the young man.

"I’m Jeremy Night. It’s great to see you as well," Jeremy Night replied.

Seeing that the young man was calm and composed, he was impressed.

He then said, "John bought a new modern suit. I thought he was buying it for himself. But I didn’t expect it to be for you."

"Don’t disappoint him. The new modern armor suit is worn by the elite teams in the top three zones. It’s hard to find a single piece here,"After saying that, he took out the full-body armor suit and placed it on the desk.

Jeremy Night’s gaze fell on the full-body armor suit. His eyes gleamed with a twinkle. The armor suit was deep black in color with dark purple design patterns.

He touched the armor. He immediately felt a smooth sensation, but he knew that the material was special.

"The armor is for Tier-5 Beast Tamers. It can withstand an attack from a Tier-6 Beast. But it has its limits as well."

"It cannot withstand a continuous attack. But it will help you at a critical time," Brian explained.

Jeremy Night understood. He needed something like that.

"I like the armor suit," Jeremy replied.

"Good. It weighs less as well. You can use your movement method without a problem,"he added.

Jeremy Night then thanked him before placing the armor suit inside his storage ring. He then decided to leave.

"What’s your plan for today?" he asked.

"I’m planning to explore the city a little bit before leaving," Jeremy replied.

"Okay. Be careful. Don’t go to the shady areas. The cab drivers know which places are good to go,"Brian said.

Jeremy nodded his head before leaving.

Brian raised his eyebrows.

"So John is betting on this kid. He is not that bad. But a STRIKER has less survivability," he said to himself.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night exited the store. He went to the hotel next and returned to his room. Now that he had completed the task, he was going to explore the city.

But before that, he decided to browse some information. He picked up his device and connected to the network here.

He then began to browse online articles. Soon, his eyes caught something. It was about the market here. The local market was not as popular as the affluent Beast Taming Stores.

Jeremy then decided to visit the market here. He puts away the device. He spent a few minutes preparing, then he exited the hotel.

The hotel staff were surprised. They didn’t know what a young Tier-3 Beast Tamer was doing.

Jeremy Night found a cab and told the driver to take him to the market. The driver was taken aback. Then he understood another tourist had come.

"Young man, if you want to explore the marketplace, that’s fine. But don’t get deceived by the place," the old driver warned him.

"Thanks for the advice, elder. I’m not going to buy anything," Jeremy replied with a smile.

The old man shook his head. He didn’t believe him. He thought that the young man was going to be like the others who do impulse buying.

10 minutes later,

The old man dropped him in front of an alley.

He said, "If you go down this alley, you will find the market at the end of the road."

Jeremy thanked him and paid the fare. When the cab had gone from the place, Jeremy Night used his eye power to scan the area.

He was aware that there could be troublemakers here.

But he didn’t find anyone. He then walked down the road. He soon reached the end of the road. He saw a huge wall, but there was a door.

He didn’t find any other door around there. He then walked up to the door and opened it.

Creak!

He then stepped inside. He was greeted by the loud noise of the people. He saw hawkers and stall owners everywhere.

He closed the door and began to explore the place. He used his eye power so that no thief could approach him.

But not long after, he encountered a thief. It was a middle-aged man with Tier-4 strength, but his wandering eyes gave him away.

He approached Jeremy. Just as he was about to look for any valuables, Jeremy caught the person’s wrist.

The middle-aged man jolted. Next, he tried to break free, but Jeremy’s grip was stronger. Finally, the middle-aged man pleaded.

Jeremy then released his hand. He came here to explore; he didn’t want to fight here.

But the middle-aged man showed killing intent. He glared at him.

Jeremy sneered. He watched the middle-aged man disappear. He understood that the middle-aged man hadn’t learned his lesson.

If he dared to come back, then Jeremy would break a few of his bones. He then collected his thoughts and began to look around.

There was a stall selling old books. Jeremy walked up to the stall. He saw many books that were copies of books popular before the mutation era.

Just as he was about to pass, his gaze fell on a small book. The title attracted him:

[Types of beasts in the wilderness]

He then picked up that small book and began to go through it. He recalled that the wilderness in the special base was different.

He had encountered totally different beasts near the Abandoned Valley. It showed that he still lacked knowledge about the beasts.

At least, he wanted to know about the beasts in the special base.
