Chapter 950: Going to City A again (4th Zone)

Special Base

Jeremy Night received the card and put it away inside the storage ring. He then continued the conversation for another ten minutes.

Then he left the office. Next, he went to the administration building again to book a flight ticket.

Fortunately, he was able to buy the ticket. Then he waited for the flight to come. The special flight landed an hour later.

He then boarded the plane and found his place in the last row. It was a window seat again. His gaze swept over the other passengers.

He saw that the flight seats were almost filled. They were all from the 5th zone. He then let out a sigh before looking toward the outside scene through the window.

The flight didn’t stop for long. It departed soon.

Jeremy Night was planning many things in his mind. Now that he was a student of the special base, he could spend more than limited days there.

Since his destination was the Beast Taming Store, he could use their resources there. The practice room there did not have much difference from the special base.

But his goal was to find resources for the lifeline beast. The lifeline beasts had protected him in the previous few battles. The protection layer was a life-saving ability.

He didn’t want to be in a helpless situation again.

But he thought of buying high-grade resources for emergency use. He would not use them for himself, but for the lifeline beast.

He could use the special base credit points to buy the resources. It was a currency. If he bought a larger amount of resources in the base, it would draw attention.

City A would be the best. He then gained some clarity. He closed his eyes to rest. None of the passengers were talkative. They were quiet as well.

Because of that, he got a good sleep.

A couple of hours later,

The flight reached the airspace of City A. Jeremy Night was awake. The vast city greeted his eyes.

A few minutes later,

The flight came to a halt. The passengers began to leave one by one. When he was trying to leave, he found many gazes on him.

He was stunned for a second. Then he looked at his uniform. A look of understanding dawned on him. He was wearing a special base uniform.

Then he decided to change his clothes in the lounge’s changing room.

20 minutes later,

He exited the airport. He found a cab driver and told him to stop at the hotel near the Beast Taming Store.

The driver agreed. The Beast Taming Store was located in an important place in the city. You could find many facilities there.

The driver reached the place 15 minutes later. He stopped in front of the Sun Bay Hotel. Jeremy stepped out and saw that the Beast Taming Store was exactly opposite the hotel.

There was a long main road in between. He then paid the fare to the driver. He didn’t go to the hotel; he crossed the road and walked toward the store.

The store was open at night. He walked in and came across the staff right away. Jeremy directly inquired about the Manager.

He then learned from the staff that the Manager was not here. He will come tomorrow. Then Jeremy thanked the staff before leaving the store.

The staff was a little surprised. It was rare for a Tier-3 Beast Tamer to meet the Manager directly. The staff thought the person could really have an appointment.

On the other hand, Jeremy walked into the hotel. He booked one nice room for himself.

He then went to the room. He felt the room was not so premium, yet not cheap. He was going to spend a few days here. The space here was enough for him.

What was surprising was that the room had a practice room for Beast Tamers. It was useful for him.

After checking the place, he lay on the bed to rest.

The next morning,

He woke up early and did his morning routine. He completed the routine within an hour. He then entered the practice room.

After turning on the switch, the natural energy filled the room. He waited for the energy to spread through the room completely.

He then sat cross-legged on the ground. He closed his eyes and began to run the breathing method. The natural energy entered his body.

He immediately felt the difference. The natural energy was pure. It was slightly better than the special base. He didn’t expect it.

Now he knew why the room was costly. It was worth it.

He circulated the natural energy. The natural energy went inside the body. It flowed through the route. The hungry cells began to absorb the natural energy.

Not long after, the unknown beast egg inside the mental zone became activated. It began to absorb the natural energy from the surroundings.

Jeremy felt happy that the beast was reacting. He then repeated the process.

Time passed.

He ended the practice a few hours later. He felt the limit. If he continued, then it would burden the route. His lifeline beast stopped absorbing the energy as well.

He then stood up and turned off the switch. The natural energy in the room began to deplete at a faster rate.

When all the energy was gone, he exited the room.

Jeremy Night went to take a shower. He spent 20 minutes in the bath. After coming out, he changed into new clothes. He wore black jeans and a white polo shirt.

After getting ready, he came to the hotel ground floor and exited the place. He then crossed the road and walked toward the store.

He walked into the store. He came across another staff member. He stated his request.

"Are you the one from the special base?" a middle-aged man asked.

"Yes," Jeremy replied. This was a different staff member.

The middle-aged man smiled and said, "The Manager is waiting for you. Come with me."

Jeremy Night nodded his head and went with him. The other staff looked toward him. Their gazes were filled with curiosity and surprise.

He understood they didn’t know about the Tier-3 Beast Tamer in the special base.
