Chapter 948: Medic Centre

Wilderness

Jeremy Night was making the return journey. He didn’t stop anywhere along the way. He was using his eye power to avoid the beasts.

Soon, he came across a group of beasts. He immediately took a detour. He was not in a condition to fight against a group of beasts.

While moving, he circulated the natural energy inside his body. The healing talent of his body was activated.

The natural energy became healing energy and flowed across his body. It was healing his hidden injuries.

His blood vessels had suffered some damage. His internal organs were bleeding. There were a few broken bones.

He used the healing force to stop the bleeding and heal the blood vessels. When it came to the bones, he didn’t have the resources for that.

Time passed.

Nighttime came. He didn’t find any secluded spot. He kept moving through the night as well. His second eye power scanned the place.

He didn’t find any living beasts. He increased his speed to cross the distance faster. Before the sunrise, he got back to the base.

He spotted other Beast Taming groups as well. They were coming back to the base too. While walking past them, they exchanged eye contact.

A few minutes later,

He reached his room. After going inside, he went to the practice room. He turned on the switch. The natural energy began to spread through the room.

He sat cross-legged on the ground. When the natural energy had completely filled the place, he took a few healing resources and consumed them.

Then he used the inner healing method to circulate the healing energy. The energy went around his body. His injuries were beginning to recover.

With the environment here, the healing process became faster. Jeremy Night felt the changes. He was happy. He was not going to leave the room until he fully recovered.

Because a few bones were broken in his body, he would need to go to the medic center later. Right now, he had saved his blood vessels and inner organs.

Time passed.

Elder John came to the office. He went through the reports. He saw Jeremy Night’s name on the entry report. His eyes flashed with a gleam.

He was curious about the mission. He knew Jeremy Night had picked the Abandoned Valley mission. The young man had informed him before leaving.

To be honest, he had controlled himself from obstructing him. The mission was dangerous. But he trusted Jeremy Night. He wanted to see the limit of the young man.

He knew that the strength of the young man had increased in the past couple of weeks. The young man was not the same person. He thought Jeremy Night could easily slay Tier-5 beasts.

He won’t be surprised if Jeremy Night already had Tier-6 kills as well. If Jeremy Night succeeded in his mission, he planned to reward him.

He decided to talk to him later.

Meanwhile,

Elder Carter had been following the updates regarding Jeremy Night. Though he stopped taking direct action, it didn’t mean that he had given up the idea.

He had taken steps to influence the mission desk. The changes were going to be small, but they could put a Tier-3 Beast Tamer at risk.

He still thought of Jeremy Night as a Tier-3 Beast Tamer. He ignored the ability to fight across Tiers. He thought Jeremy Night used schemes and sneak attacks to kill Tier-4 and Tier-5 beasts.

He had only heard of geniuses in the top 3 zones doing that.

After going through the entry report, his expression turned ugly. He didn’t believe it at first. Then he went through the entry report again.

This time, he was left speechless. The report couldn’t be faked. So the news was true.

"He returned alive," he mumbled.

He didn’t know whether Jeremy Night had suffered injuries or not. Even if he had, it was still counted as an amazing achievement.

It was the first time someone with Tier-3 strength had returned from the Abandoned Valley. He began to rethink. The news must have reached the other elders.

Head Sandra could have heard about it as well. She was the head of the base. She had the power to recommend a genius Beast Tamer to the forces in the top three zones.

In the last meeting, she had spoken highly of that kid. If the kid was recruited by the forces in the top three zones, then they should forget about revenge.

Instead, they might have to live in fear. Carter thought it was not too late to change his ways. The kid didn’t know about the enemy.

Sigh!

Carter took a deep breath before sighing. Right now, he gave up the idea of influencing the mission desk. He thought it was not wise either.

When this realization occurred, he immediately acted. He contacted a few people at the mission desk and told them to stop that work.

There was no need to trouble Jeremy Night anymore. He warned them not to do anything behind his back as well, because these people had connections to families in the 4th zone.

Forenoon,

Jeremy Night exited the practice room. He then went to the bathroom to take a shower. He spent 20 minutes in the bath. Then he walked out and changed into fresh clothes.

He then left the room. Coming down to the ground floor, he walked out of the building. He then went to the medic center. He had been enduring the pain since last night.

In the center, he was treated by a middle-aged man. The middle-aged man administered a healing liquid. He also used his lifeline beast to remove the mental fatigue from Jeremy’s body.

Jeremy Night fell asleep.

The middle-aged man knew about Jeremy Night because the young man was the only Tier-3 Beast Tamer in the base.

He was taken aback by the broken bones. He knew the pain of those injuries.

He was aware of the mentor as well. He called Elder John and told him.

"The young man has a few broken bones. There are some internal injuries. I have administered a healing liquid. He will be good in a few hours," he said to him.

Elder John thanked him from the other side of the call.
