Chapter 945: Abandoned Valley!

Wilderness

He severed the blood vessels. A torrent of blood gushed forth from the wound. The massive body of the beast fell to the ground.

Thud!

The shock force spread across the ground. The other beasts charged at him. He didn’t move much from his spot.

Swoosh!

The rest of the beasts got closer to him. His eyes were scanning, taking in every piece of information.

He held the blade tightly.

Slash!

He started using the "Shadow Slash" move. The blade moved in an arc before cutting down the beasts.

The blade tore through the defense of the beasts. The blood vessels in the bodies of the beasts were severed.

In one swing, the starlight-filled blade severed their blood vessels.

In the blink of an eye, he killed all the other Corrupted beasts. The ten four-legged beasts lay dead on the ground.

His clothes were drenched in blood. He didn’t dare to linger there any longer. The blood would attract the beasts roaming in the wilderness.

Swoosh!

He then continued walking along the path. As time passed, he left the area and went deeper into the barren land.

He was getting closer to the abandoned land. When he found a secluded spot, he removed the blood-covered clothes and put on new ones.

Only then did he think of resuming the journey. He had expected to reach the abandoned valley before evening.

But it was already evening. It would be night soon. The current place was a sunken land with big trees on all four sides.

He decided to spend the night here. He used the blade to dig out a hole in a tree. It took him half an hour.

Then he entered the tree hole and covered the gap with leaves. He then poured the beast-repellent powder at the entrance.

It erased any of his human scent. By doing this, he wouldn’t attract any higher-tier beasts. At the same time, if any beast came out to check out of curiosity,

the beast would be repelled by the beast-repellent powder. He then closed his eyes and began to sleep. He didn’t sheath the blade; he held it above his chest.

Time passed.

Night arrived. The barren land saw an increase in the activity of the corrupted beasts. More higher-tier beasts appeared near where the fight took place.

The remains of the ten beasts had long since been consumed by other beasts. A spider beast walked past the giant shade trees.

It was highly sensitive to living things. It had come down here to hunt in the night. Its primary targets were other weak beasts.

Jeremy Night, who was sleeping inside the tree hole, suddenly opened his eyes. It was because he felt a pricking sensation. His senses were still in a heightened mode.

He felt the presence of the beast outside the shade tree.

The spider beast stopped in front of a shade tree. There was something wrong with the tree. It found faint signs of a living thing.

But it wasn’t a corrupted beast. The spider beast collided into the shade tree. It caused a shock force that spread across the nearby area.

The other big trees only swayed. No beasts could be seen near them. The spider beast continued to attack the shade tree. If it kept doing it continuously, the tree would fall.

After some time, the spider beast stopped. It continued walking along the path because it felt a threat from other beasts.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night held the blade tightly in both of his hands. He had thought that a fight was going to be inevitable.

But he felt no crisis right now. He used his second eye power and saw the massive eight-legged beast going away.

Seeing that, he sighed in relief. He knew it was hard to hide from a higher-tier beast if his traces were found.

It had happened before in the lone mountain mission. The bat beast ruined his sleep that day. Now, the eight-legged spider had ruined his sleep.

Jeremy then waited for morning. He wouldn’t go outside during the night.

The next morning,

When the daylight appeared, he didn’t waste any time. He exited the tree hole and continued walking along the path.

He didn’t see any beasts roaming. He wanted to use the opportunity. He began to use the feather steps.

A few hours later,

He reached his destination. He found a big slope going downward. He reached the edge and saw the valley below.

A wide river was flowing through the valley. But both sides of the river were covered in dense vegetation. He came to this place because he didn’t see any signs of footprints.

He thought there was a high chance of finding a Tier-6 Herbal Flower here. He found a good spot to observe. He didn’t move from his place.

He started using his eye power to scan the area. He spotted strange flowers and other things, but they were low grade. They were not the flowers he was looking for.

But he knew they could be useful. Yet, he didn’t take the risk to pluck them. Who knew? If the beasts spotted him, it could hurt the mission.

He wouldn’t make a big move until he found the Grade-6 Herbal Flower.

Half an hour later,

His search ended in failure. He didn’t spot the flower in this area. He decided to go further down the stretch.

After finding another good spot to observe, he used his eyes to scan. Then he noticed a group of beasts drinking water in the valley.

Since they were in a group, their strengths were mixed. Jeremy was viewing such a scene for the first time. Now he thought, this is the true wilderness.

To think this many beasts had come down to this place. He recalled the advice of Elder Smith. No wonder he had shown such an expression.

He then collected his thoughts and continued to scan the place. He would leave after collecting the flower. He didn’t want to spend the night here.
