Chapter 944: Rare beasts!

Wilderness

Jeremy Night entered the wilderness. He had informed Elder John before departing. He was walking slowly.

He wanted to know whether anyone was following him from behind. He spotted a few people, but they were not looking towards him.

He then walked through the dense vegetation. He used his second eye power to scan the surroundings.

He continued walking until he saw the open land. He then took out the map and viewed it. He found an abandoned valley located in the western direction.

He completely memorized the route. If he continued along the straight path, he would reach there eventually.

But the vegetation and the threat of the higher-tier beasts still existed. He then put away the map and unsheathed his blade.

He held the blade tightly in his hand. He then started going towards the destination. On the way, he encountered a dense green canopy.

Time passed

There are hard, long vines everywhere. He simply cut them to make a path for himself. Otherwise, he would have had to take a detour.

He didn’t want to waste time. He was safe right now. While moving, he used his eye power to scan the surroundings.

If the beasts appeared, then he would change his plan.

Boom!

The next second, a vine snapped out. The long end came shooting at him.

Cut!

He swung the blade while moving his body. He evaded the attack, and the blade cut through the thick vine.

The part which was cut down landed on the ground. He was taken aback. The beast was not weak. It was at least Tier-5.

Pfff!

The green blood splattered across the ground. He heard a weird sound.

Boom!

The next second, he saw several vines coming at him like fast arrows. He swung his blade one after another.

The blade cut through the vines one after another. His eyes spotted the vines clearly. The small details never left his eyes.

As time passed, the fallen parts increased. Jeremy was taken aback. Now he understood that these parts belonged to the same beast.

It’s rare to come across plant-type beasts, especially vines, rattan, etc. It showed that the wilderness is diverse here.

It didn’t take long for the attacks to stop. He didn’t face threats from the vines anymore. But he was not naive.

Earlier, he had failed to notice it with his eye power. The plant beast was part of the vegetation here. He had been cutting down the vegetation along the way.

It must have threatened it. He then decided to change his route right now. The vine beast was not dead but weakened.

He took a detour and went through a not-so-dense route. There was enough space left for him to move through the place.

Soon, he came out of the dense vegetation and saw a semi-barren land. He started walking freely. But his eye power spotted corrupted beasts right away.

Not one, but many roaming the place in different areas. The one nearest to him was not that dangerous.

When he got closer to the place, he recognized the beasts.

It was a group of deer-like beasts. They too were corrupted. Instead of grazing on grass, they were eating the remains of another beast.

He hasn’t heard of a deer beast group actively hunting other corrupted beasts; instead, they just go and look around for remains.

The strength of the beasts here was between Tier-5 and Tier-6. There was a chance for the Tier-6 beasts to charge at him, but nothing like that happened.

His eyes flashed with a gleam. He was not looking at them, but his senses were active. He was walking past them.

Just then, the deer beasts raised their heads one by one. They saw a Human Beast Tamer going by alone. But he was not coming in their direction.

Finally, a few Tier-6 Beasts observed the Human Beast Tamer.

Seeing that the Human Beast Tamer was not going to attack them, a Tier-6 Beast lowered its head and continued to eat the remains. Then, the other beasts did the same one by one.

Jeremy Night quickly left the area. His current direction was taking him to the abandoned valley. But he had already come across many corrupted beasts.

Elder Smith had said to him that higher-tier beasts were spotted in the valley. While moving, he looked at the skies from time to time.

He knew that bird-type beasts can pose a threat to him. He was totally exposed to bird-type beasts.

The fight against the unknown bird beast and the bird beast which had attacked the special flight was still vivid in his mind.

One hour later,

He had crossed more distance. The beasts which were located quite far away from him didn’t even notice him. He thought his eyesight was better than the beasts.

But the quietness didn’t last long. He came across four-legged beasts. The strength of the four-legged beasts was Tier-5.

Jeremy paused his footsteps and looked at them. He found that the beasts were unusually tall. They were not hybrid dog beasts.

It was a different species altogether, but he was encountering it for the first time. What was more, the four-legged beasts were looking at him like easy prey.

Their mouths were wide open. Saliva was dripping from their mouths.

Jeremy Night covered the blade in starlight power. He stacked multiple layers of starlight threads on the blade edge.

His gaze swept across the beasts. There were 10 beasts here. Suddenly, he realized something.

Among the deer beasts which were eating the remains earlier, he had spotted a few skins. They reminded him of the beasts here.

Swoosh!

One of the beasts charged at him. The beast was above 4 meters in size. He didn’t move an inch from the spot.

But his eyes were scanning the beast. His senses were heightened all of a sudden. The movement of the beast appeared slow in his eyes.

Puchak!

The beast opened its mouth wide to bite him. He took one step sideways before plunging the blade straight into the neck of the beast.
