Chapter 938: Part 1: Fight against the Unknown bird beast

Jeremy Night checked the entrance half an hour later. He used his second eye power. Once again, the place in front of him became transparent. He didn’t see anything.

The unknown bird beast was not here. He relaxed his eyebrows. But for some reason, he felt it was not good to go outside. He thought about the mission time limit.

Compared to the mission, safety was important. After figuring it out, he went back to the passage and leaned against the wall.

He quietly sat down and waited for the morning sunrise to come.

The unknown bird beast hadn’t left the spot. Once it set its eyes on a target, it rarely left. This time, the target was the human prey.

All the corrupted beasts had hatred against human Beast Tamers. They were the ones who made their little base in the beasts’ territory.

Since then, clashes were common between them. Even the bird beast had hunted down a few enemies.

Knowing that the human beast tamer was not coming out, the unknown bird beast decided to spend the night there.

It didn’t make its presence known. If even the slightest coercion was released, then the human hiding inside the passage would know.

Time passed.

Jeremy Night once again checked the entrance during the midnight. The sense of crisis was still there. Every time, the feeling was the same whenever he approached the entrance.

He was no fool. He figured out the beast hadn’t left the place. It might be monitoring the cave entrance. When this thought came to his mind, he immediately felt it was right.

He hadn’t thought of it before. Fine beads of sweat covered his forehead. He wiped away the sweat beads. He understood the clash was going to be unavoidable the next morning.

He decided to figure out a plan. He went back to the wall side and sat cross-legged on the ground. He imagined the size of the bird beast.

Compared to other bird beasts, the unknown bird beast was definitely a hybrid. Now that he realized it, he thought the eyes of the bird beast were terrifying.

It had simply locked him under pressure earlier. He needed to find a way to overcome the pressure. If the beast used the pressure again, he didn’t want to be helpless.

Suddenly, he recalled it was not the first time he had faced pressure from higher-tier beasts. It had happened many times before.

During those times, the unknown beast egg inside his mental zone provided cover and protected his internals.

He decided to bet on his lifeline beast tomorrow.

Suddenly, he felt a slight emotion from the unknown beast egg, like some acknowledgment.

A relieved smile appeared on his face. He then closed his eyes and rested.

The following day,

The morning sunlight brightened the mountain. As the daylight appeared, the darkness was gone. The slopes on the mountain became clear.

The unknown bird beast opened its eyes. It looked down at the slope. Seeing that the cave entrance was still closed, the bird beast didn’t move from the spot.

It was waiting for the human to appear. It knew that humans were weak. They couldn’t survive hunger for long.

Inside the cave passage, Jeremy Night was already awake. He did some stretching to prepare for the fight. He then unsheathed his blade and held it in his right hand.

He then controlled his starlight power and quickly covered the blade edge with it. In the blink of an eye, a white glow appeared on the blade edge.

Then he took out the handgun from the case and held it in his left hand. He covered the bullets with the starlight power again.

Each of the bullets was covered in a starlight thread.

Having done that, he walked up to the entrance. This time, he didn’t bother to check. He swung the blade at the entrance.

The blade cut through the blockade. He made another slash before the rocks crumbled into smaller pieces.

Slash!

The entrance became visible. Seeing that, Jeremy Night exited the cave passage.

He came outside and daylight fell on his face. He looked around and found there was no beast. The next second, his senses picked up something.

Swoosh!

"Explosive Steps"

The next second, he used the movement method to move away from his current spot.

Right then, the claws of the beast struck the ground. The ground surface split open. The shock force spread across the place.

The massive unknown bird beast came into view. The unknown bird beast had missed its target again. Before it could release its coercion toward the human target,

Bang! Bang!

Jeremy Night raised his left hand and fired shots at the eyes of the beast.

The starlight bullets went across in a straight line. The bullets were fast, but just when they were going to hit the target, the unknown bird beast slightly moved its head.

The starlight bullets struck the top of its head instead.

The starlight bullets hit the thick skull. The force behind the bullets made them penetrate further. But the skull of the beast was sturdier and thicker.

Before the bullets could hit the brain, they were stopped.

They didn’t go inside. The bullets failed. But blood spurted from the head injuries.

The unknown bird beast was enraged. The injury made it mad. It released a monstrous coercion the next second.

The coercion spread across the place, but it landed immediately on Jeremy Night.

Jeremy Night was not ready for the sudden attack again. His back was almost bent. His veins and internal organs were hurting. They were under pressure.

If the pressure continued, it would definitely injure his body.

Jeremy was enduring the searing pain. He had full trust in the unknown beast egg. The lifeline beast had saved his life many times.

He was hoping to get the same help this time. He tried to communicate with the beast.

"Save me," he thought.

Just then, the unknown beast egg inside his mental zone reacted.
