Chapter 937: Hybrid Bird Beast

Wilderness

He waited inside the cave. The unknown beast egg was still absorbing the fruit’s energy. The lifeline beast would get even closer to the next stage.

He could expect another small breakthrough within a week. He is just an A-Grade Talent. He was having this growth speed because of the lifeline beast.

He wondered what the speed of an S-Grade would be. Most of the seniors were S-Grade Talents. But each of their talents was different.

There was also a difference in the way they absorbed the existing natural energy. He then looked at the blade and collected the starlight power back into his mental zone.

Next, he began practicing the shadow slash move inside the cave passage. As time passed, he totally forgot about the outside wilderness.

20 minutes later,

The unknown beast egg completed the absorption of the fruit’s energy. Jeremy then ended the practice. He sheathed his blade and was ready to go outside.

To be on the safe side, he continued to use his eye power. He reached the cave opening and exited the place.

Just as he was about to walk further...

Boom!

Something massive landed in front of him. He raised his head and saw a massive bird beast. He couldn’t identify the beast.

The next second, he felt a terrifying coercion from the beast. His breathing became short. His body was under terrifying pressure.

The claws of the beast looked like eagle claws. But the beak of the beast was long and sharp, as if it could cut anything.

He had never seen such a beast before, not even in books. The size of the beast was abnormal for a bird beast. The beast was at least over 5.5 meters.

Boom!

Next, he made a decision and used his movement method. He retreated to the cave passage. Only then could he break free from the pressure.

He felt relaxed, but his back was hurting now. It was drenched in cold sweat.

Boom!

The bird was angry. It didn’t expect the human would dare to move in front of it.

The bird beast attacked the ground with its claws. The ground split open the next second, showing the power behind the claws.

The claws were not only deadly sharp, they were strong as well.

Jeremy’s calm heart stirred. Now he understood where the claw wound on the Mountain Wolf had come from.

The coercion earlier indicated that the beast was not a Tier-6 Beast, but it was closer to becoming a Tier-7 beast.

If it were a Tier-7 Beast, the coercion alone would have locked him down. It would have made him unable to move.

It also made him understand the limits of his body. Facing Tier-5 beasts before, he hadn’t felt this pressure. Even facing a Tier-6 Beast, there was some pressure, but his body was able to withstand it.

But it was totally different when it came to a Tier-7 Beast. The unknown bird beast was the best example.

Boom!

Next, the unknown bird moved toward the cave entrance all of a sudden. It also released its coercion.

Jeremy Night moved backward to the wall.

Boom!!

The coercion struck the entrance. The passage walls on both sides were crumbling under the pressure.

The rock pieces fell down to the ground one by one. If this went on, they might cover the entrance.

Jeremy Night was shocked. He tried to come up with a solution, but every solution required him to fight against the unknown bird beast.

He was not afraid of fighting. It would be better if the beast went away after some time. If a fight was forced like last night, then he would fight for sure.

Screech!

The unknown bird beast made a sound for the first time. The sound alone was annoying, giving him a headache.

Jeremy furrowed his eyebrows. He knew what to do after returning to the base. He would first search for information about this unknown bird beast.

A good idea came to his mind next.

He took out his device and clicked photos one after another. Then he saw that the pictures were good. He would ask Elder John to look into it.

The unknown bird beast was not ordinary. Unlike other corrupted bird beasts, this one genuinely seemed to be a killer.

It had already taken down the Tier-6 Mountain Wolf beast before.

As time passed, the debris continued to fall. It didn’t take long for the entrance to be covered with small rocks.

The cave passage became darker. Jeremy leaned against the wall and sat down quietly. He would wait and see. If the beast went away, it would be best.

If not, he would attack the weak areas of the beast; he had already begun to hate those eyes.

Outside,

The unknown bird beast was clever. It saw the entrance was closed because of its coercion, so it stopped using it.

It then moved away from the entrance, but it didn’t completely leave the place. It was going to wait for the human to come outside.

It had a feud with the wolf beast because of the fruit treasure. The wolf had been able to collect the treasure fruit and break into the Tier-6 stage.

Still, the unknown bird beast had fought against the Tier-6 Mountain Wolf earlier. It had come to check on the beast, but now some human had occupied the cave.

It didn’t know whether the wolf beast was alive or not. It had grievously injured it with its claws.

The unknown bird beast landed on another slope above the cave passage. Its gaze locked onto the slope below.

If the human came out of the passage, it would be able to see him.

Time passed.

Jeremy Night stood up an hour later. He walked towards the debris blocking the exit. He didn’t disturb the rocks.

First, he used his second eye power. His gaze saw through the rocks and observed the scene outside the cave. The land was empty. There was no sign of the bird beast.

There was a possibility that the beast had gone somewhere, so he decided to check again a few minutes later. But the result was the same. The beast was not there. Yet, for some reason, he didn’t want to leave right now.
