Chapter 930: Part 1: Close Combat Training

4th Zone- Special Base.

After being done with the process, Jeremy Night returned to his room. His credit points and the leaderboard points were immediately credited.

He stopped paying attention to the leaderboard rankings. He went to bed and lay down.

The next morning, he woke up. After getting out of bed, he started doing his morning routine.

As time passed, he completed the routine. Then he entered the small practice room. He turned on the switch.

Natural energy entered the room. It spread across the room. In the blink of an eye, the natural energy filled the room.

Jeremy Night sat cross-legged on the ground. Then he closed his eyes and used the breathing method.

As the natural energy entered his body, he guided it according to the route mentioned in the breathing method.

Buzz!

It didn’t take long for the unknown beast egg inside his mind to become active. It started to absorb the natural energy in the room.

Jeremy Night continued to repeat the process.

...

Meanwhile,

Elder Carter was in his office. He once again heard of the return of Jeremy Night back to the base. But there was no news from the Beast Taming Team. He was speechless.

Carter tried to contact their Captain. But the call was not connected. He then contacted other students and learned that the second-year beast taming team had yet to return.

He then ended the call and frowned.

"What are they doing?" he asked himself.

Carter was clear with his words. He had told them not to accept other missions until they completed the task. Yet they ignored him.

He was angry. He decided to confront them when they returned from the mission. Then he put away the thought and decided to focus on other matters.

...

On the other hand, Elder John was following the progress of Jeremy Night. He was getting the reports from Elder Smith at the report desk.

Elder John asked about the state of the corpse. He wanted to know whether Jeremy Night had used a blade skill or a close combat skill.

He then learned that Jeremy Night had used the blade skill. Elder John was curious about his close combat technique progress.

He didn’t want to meet Jeremy Night on a daily basis. He decided to see his progress once a week.

....

A few hours later,

Jeremy Night ended his practice. He exited the room. He then started training. He was not using the blade skill or his self-developed skill.

He was using the close combat technique of the Tier-8 Predecessor. He was training his muscles to tense and relax.

Compared to before, he could control muscle movement in most parts of the body. The next step would be to create vibration.

He had completed the first step, which was to feel the heartbeat and pulse. The second step was to control the body muscles. He would master it in a few days.

Once he started using the vibration, then he could say that he had succeeded in starting the technique.

He pushed away the thoughts and continued to master the control over the muscles in the body.

That evening, he ended the training. He was happy with the progress. He was so close to controlling muscles in every part of the body.

He didn’t want to lose the momentum. He decided to continue the training in the coming days. He wanted to achieve something before entering the wilderness next time.

2 days later,

He was able to tense and relax muscles in all parts of the body. He could do it with precise timing. The next step was to create vibration.

He took the book outside and began to read the next Chapter. He wanted to know what the Predecessor had done.

Soon, he understood the meaning behind the words. He closed the book and walked up to the middle of the room.

Then he closed his eyes and started running the breathing method.

When the natural energy went around the body, he extended his hand and tried to rapidly relax and contract the muscles in his palm. When he did that, he felt a weak vibration.

But the vibration faded away the next second. He was not surprised. He knew he needed to maintain the vibration.

As time passed, he spent time repeatedly doing that. He wanted the weak vibration to remain steady at least for a few seconds.

That evening, he ended the training. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to continue, but his body was exhausted. He needed rest right now.

Not only that, but Elder John had summoned him. He didn’t know what this was about. He then thought of Luke. It was possible that someone had reported about it.

He then shook his head. He then went to the bath to take a shower. The bath lasted for 20 minutes.

After walking out of the bath, he changed into a fresh uniform. He then left the room and started walking down the corridor. He came across other members.

They gave him a glance before minding their own business. They must have heard about that fight.

No one wanted to create a problem. He then used the elevator to go to the ground floor. When he arrived at the ground floor, he walked toward the exit.

There were other members who were coming and going. None of them stopped him. He simply exited the building and went towards the office building of the elders.

A few minutes later,

He reached the place. He then went towards the office room of Elder John. The other elders had office rooms as well, but their doors were closed.

After arriving in front of the door, he asked for permission to enter. Then he got the permission. He opened the door and walked inside.

The door behind him shut automatically. His gaze fell on Elder John, who was sitting behind the desk.

"Take a seat," John said.

Hearing that, he nodded to him and sat on the chair.

John met the gaze of Jeremy Night. He smiled and said, "You must be wondering why I have summoned you here?"

"Yes," Jeremy replied.
