Chapter 915: Part 1: A new threat
Green Swamp
The Tier-6 Black Hyena was injured. Blood flowed from its bullet wounds. The massive frame of the beast drew closer to Jeremy Night.
The bloodthirsty, oppressive aura reached Jeremy Night. It was a Tier-6 beast. If it were any other Beast Tamer, they would have been affected by it.
But Jeremy Night focused on the beast. The beast’s movements didn’t escape his eyes.
Screech!
It made a strange sound. The beast was suffering in pain. Its blood-red eyes became even redder.
The aura of the beast surged forth from its body. The power of the oppression increased. Jeremy Night was unfazed by it.

The unknown beast egg in his mental zone reacted, protecting his internal organs and mental zone.
The oppressive aura collided with nothing.
The bloodthirstiness made the beast even madder.
Jeremy was waiting for the opportunity. He put away his handgun before unsheathing his blade to attack.
He covered the blade’s edge in starlight threads. One after another, the starlight threads were stacked and added to the blade.
"Explosive Steps"
He exploded with a sudden acceleration. The power propelled him toward the beast’s side.
"Shadow Slash"
He immediately found weak points using his eye power. The blood vessels became clear to his eyes.
He drew the blade and swung at the target in one move. The move was fast, and the blade came into contact with the beast’s skin.

The blade cut through the flesh the next moment. It went deeper before sweeping across the blood vessels.

The blood vessels severed. A torrent of blood gushed forth from the wound. The hyena, which was wailing, felt searing pain again.
It was injured by the weak human again. The beast felt fear for the first time. The intense pain caused its reddened eyes to regain some clarity.

The beast made a decisive decision and fled from the place with its injured body.
Jeremy didn’t stop the beast. The hyena was cunning, and he knew that the beast could have a trump card. He was wary of its ability.
Then he shook his head and collected his thoughts. He sheathed the blade and began to observe the area.
He moved away from the green swamp. He needed to find the Dotted Gray Spider. He knew about their habitat.
He began to look for any cave structures. The beast was big. It must be living in an isolated area.
As time passed, he went through the vegetation. He was vigilant and kept using his second eye power.
His search became faster because of it.
Time passed.
He spent hours searching. Specifically, he surveyed the area surrounding the green swamp. The green swamp was big.
He didn’t know how others had spotted the Dotted Gray Spider here.
It was evening time, and he was standing at the lakeshore. He looked at the low-water area. There were other species living here.
He didn’t expect the mission to yield any good results so far. He had only the nighttime left. His eyes flashed with a glint.
Jeremy thought the Dotted Gray Spider was a nocturnal species. It might come outside its hideout at nighttime to hunt.
He made a decision not to lose hope. Just then, his eye power spotted a person. The person was coming toward the green swamp as well.
He was all alone. Jeremy raised his eyebrows. He thought that person might have a mission to do here.
But when the person got closer to him, his heart skipped a beat. The person coming toward him was a Tier-6 Beast Tamer.
He knew the difference between the different Tiers. After fighting so many battles, he could spot the difference.
The Tier-6 Beast Tamers were second-year students here. But he didn’t show any panic. He watched the middle-aged man coming toward him.
He was confused. He had thought the person was here to do a mission.
The middle-aged man showed an evil grin on his face. He had finally found his target. Someone had paid a huge amount to eliminate the young man.
The appearance of the young man had touched the interests of some people. He smirked. He didn’t need to summon his lifeline beast.
He could kill a Tier-3 Beast Tamer with ease.
Swoosh!
He disappeared from the spot. In a flash, he appeared before the young man and tried to grasp his neck.
Jeremy Night’s gaze locked onto the middle-aged man. When the man made his move, his speed appeared slow to Jeremy’s eyes.
Swoosh!
The next second, Jeremy took a few steps backward before drawing the blade from its sheath.
"Shadow Slash"
He swung the blade at the middle-aged man. The blade’s edge was already covered in the starlight threads from earlier.
The power had not diminished yet.
Slash!
The middle-aged man was about to catch Jeremy’s neck. Then he saw something flash before his eyes.
Pfff!
The blade severed his right hand before the tip of the blade swept across the body of the middle-aged man.
The blade followed through before slashing his torso. A severe vertical blade wound appeared on his chest.

Blood spurted from the blade wound. The middle-aged man’s eyes filled with disbelief.
The attack was so fast that he was caught off guard despite being a Tier-6 Beast Tamer.
Jeremy saw the middle-aged man’s reaction. He didn’t stop. He made a reverse strike, bringing the blade downward.

Blood gushed forth from the wound. This time, the searing pain deeply affected the middle-aged man. He was shocked.
The starlight blade ignored the defense of the Tier-6 body. The loss of blood was massive. The actions of the middle-aged man appeared slow.
Jeremy saw that the vitality of the middle-aged man was depleting fast. He had severed the vital blood vessels.
The man was no longer able to fight him. But he could still summon his lifeline beast.
Before the man could do anything, Jeremy made a few more slashes and completely ended the life of the middle-aged man.
