Chapter 347: Chapter 347: Time to Go Home with My Husband
Florence Sinclair shivered at the words.
"Impossible, my parents still love me, they wouldn’t bear to..."
Juliana Jacobs nodded, leisurely saying, "They do love you, that’s why they’ve ’taken care’ of you so well."
Florence Sinclair was infuriated by this, wanting to get up and hit her, but the moment she raised her hand, a sharp pain in her abdomen made it unbearable.
Juliana Jacobs looked at her with disdain, "You treated Isabelle as a pawn, but aren’t you also someone else’s pawn? Look at how you’ve been locked up all these days, has anyone thought of saving you?"
Florence Sinclair stared intently at Juliana’s face, yet couldn’t utter a single word.
Juliana continued, "They’re all hoping you die; after all, only with your death can all the blame be placed on you. In reality, whether the true Sinclair daughter returns or not, it wouldn’t affect your status as the Second Miss Sinclair. But you were too greedy, afraid she’d take even the slightest bit. Now, you’ve ended up like this, it’s all your own doing, so..."
Juliana laughed softly.
"Since your existence benefits no one, you might as well act magnanimous and find relief sooner."
Florence’s body stiffened for a moment, coming back to herself, she completely broke down.
"You... don’t be so happy yet, I know who you are. If they find out your identity, they will definitely... definitely..."
"Will what?"
Juliana spoke with an entirely indifferent tone.
"Whether I’m the person they’re looking for or not, they wouldn’t treat me the way they treat you. You, the Second Miss Sinclair who only fights over inheritance and schemes, are nothing without the Sinclair family. But even without a family background, I, Juliana, am still a valuable chip to everyone. Unlike you, who not only lived a life of mockery but also will not have a burial place after death."
Unable to stand the odor in the room, Juliana finished speaking and left with a smile.
Elias Langley was leaning against the door, waiting for her.
Seeing her emerge, he reached out to pull her into his arms and removed her mask in the fresh air of the garden.
"Talking so much to someone about to die, you really overestimated her."
Juliana leaned against him, looking up and saying with a laugh, "She did all this just to marry you. Saying that, you’re hurting her feelings."
"Marry me?" Elias chuckled dismissively, "Just trash, even if I had her carry my shoes, I’d find the stench too much. Give her ten lifetimes and she still wouldn’t deserve to think about me."
As they spoke, they walked out together.
Caleb Sinclair locked the door again, once more isolating Florence’s disgrace, unwillingness, and resentment in that foul-smelling storage room.
Florence was so angry that her vision went black, her heart burning with extreme hatred.
"You think this will make me die in despair? You’re the ones who should die, not me!"
Later, the household servant who had previously passed messages for her came again.
He handed a burner phone through the gap, his tone turning very unfriendly.
"Don’t think that just because you gave me a piece of junk, I have to help you forever. This is the last time, don’t look for me again."
Florence ignored his words, picked up the phone, and immediately started editing a message.
Initially, she intended to directly reveal Juliana’s identity to the other party.
But her finger hesitated over the keypad.
If they learned of Juliana’s value, all attention would turn to Juliana. Who would care about her life or death?
She needed a more enticing, more deadly bait to keep herself alive!
So, with a flicker of dark intent in her eyes, she quickly entered the message:
"I have evidence of Sean Paxton sending people to Kenton to silence witnesses, and the full truth about Isabelle Sinclair’s death. If I die here, these things will be exposed to the public. Whoever wants these secrets must first get me out of the Sinclair family alive. Additionally, I have another monumental secret to share."
She sent this message to two people.
Just as the success notification lit up, the servant impatiently reached in, wrapped the phone in a tissue, yanked it back, and discarded the SIM card.
"What bad luck," he spat on the ground, "I shouldn’t have been greedy for your little trinkets. A menace like you, alive you are a bother, dead is when it’s truly peaceful!"
The household servant cursed while quickly crossing the hallway.
Just as he rounded the corner, someone covered his mouth and nose, dragging him away.
In the front yard of the Sinclair family.
Caleb Donovan walked briskly.
"Sir, the servant providing information to Florence has been captured. On investigation, Florence sent messages to two people, one was Sean Paxton, the other Nathan Carter."
Juliana listened quietly beside him, scoffing.
"She’s a bit better than Isabelle, at least she has a broader network. But even with two lifelines, she can’t be saved."
Elias Langley adjusted her coat, "Madam, the bait is set, I’ve placed people outside, waiting for the fish to bite. Now, it’s time to go home with your husband."
Juliana nodded and was about to leave with him.
After a few steps, she turned back to Caleb Sinclair.
"Caleb, take good care of my father."
Caleb Sinclair scratched his head, "Miss, I’m this big already, and you still think I’m too skinny?"
"Just fill your mind and you’ll be perfect."
Caleb Sinclair was left speechless...
Suppressing a smile, Juliana and Elias Langley left together.
Whichever of Sean Paxton or Nathan Carter loses patience first, will be the first fish caught in the net.
All that remained was to wait patiently.
Meanwhile, when Sean Paxton got the message, he smashed the coffee cup in his hand.
Felicity quickly called a servant to clean up.
She leaned against the door, glancing at her husband.
"Did the cup cut your hand, or did it offend your ancestors that you’re this mad?"
Sean ignored the sarcasm in her words, turned his phone screen towards her with a stern face.
"That witch Florence, she dares to threaten me!"
Felicity glanced over the message, keeping her expression unchanged, "You should have expected these to become leverage against you someday when you did those things."
"Wife, I’m not just mad about this," Sean lowered his voice, a dark current swirling in his eyes, "With her mass message, Elias Langley must have received it too. If he takes action... it will be very troublesome on Uncle’s side."
Felicity certainly understood his current anxiety.
Having played cat and mouse with Elias all these years, both knew the Paxton family was connected to the old Sinclair case.
Only due to insufficient evidence has the Paxton family remained safe until now.
If what Florence held ends up in Elias’ hands, with his methods and obsession, he’d use it to coerce Sean into revealing the truth of the past, seeking justice for the Sinclair family.
At that point, Sean, Dylan Paxton’s right-hand man, could become the tool to bring Dylan down.
This is why Sean was so furious.
"Do you really have no choice but to yield to Florence’s threats and break into Sinclair Manor to save her?" Felicity asked.
A sharp glint flashed in Sean’s eyes, and he curled his lips.
"The Sinclair Manor must be under Elias’ surveillance now. Taking action would be walking into a trap, wouldn’t it? Trying to scheme against me... huh, not a chance!"
With that, he pulled out an emergency phone from the drawer, only used in critical situations.
Quickly typing a message to Nathan Carter.
"President Carter, if you want to establish yourself in Kingsford, get Florence out of the Sinclair family. With her in hand, the path for both of us will become smoother."
Finishing the message, he laughed triumphantly.
Felicity turned her lips in a cold reminder, "Before you seek the skin of a tiger, make sure you can handle the tiger. Otherwise, you might not even unravel the skin before getting your throat bitten."
Sean frowned, scrutinizing her, "Lately, it seems you’ve been lurking in the shadows, waiting to see me stumble... why is that?"
