Chapter 207: Thor’s Power [II]

Millions of tons of golden sand violently erupted into the sky, aggressively compressing and solidifying into a thousand massive fifty-foot-long spears of jagged, superheated desert glass.

The sky above Thor completely darkened, entirely eclipsed by an apocalyptic rain of divine artillery. The heat radiating from the glass spears began to actively boil the air.

With a sweeping desperate gesture of his four arms, Ititus launched the thousand glass spears directly at Thor.

It was a meteor shower of destruction, moving at terminal velocity.

From the safety of the Druid’s green barrier, Silas watched the incoming artillery strike with his mind calculating the math.

Any single one of those fifty-foot glass spears contained enough kinetic and magical power to completely wipe his entire group off the map.

To see a thousand of them descending at once was mind-numbing.

Thor didn’t even blink. She didn’t raise a shield neither did she cast a protective ward.

She stepped forward, casually spinning her massive war hammer by its thick leather strap.

"Let me introduce you to my armory, dirt-man!" Thor yelled cheerfully over the roaring wind of the descending spears.

She pulled her arm back, her muscles coiling tight, and threw her hammer directly into the sky.

"Mjölnir!" Thor announced proudly.

BOOOOOOM!

The iron hammer shot from her hand like a nuclear missile, trailing a massive tail of pure, white-hot lightning that illuminated the entire desert.

Mjölnir possessed true ancient traits that completely defied the modern magic system of the Sovereign Realm.

It didn’t just fly on a parabolic arc... it actively hunted. The hammer never, ever missed its designated target and it possessed a terrifying sentience of its own.

Mjölnir violently crashed into the descending storm of glass spears and the hammer aggressively ricocheted in mid-air at impossible, hyper-sonic speeds.

CRASH-CRASH-SHATTER-BOOM!

In less than two seconds, Mjölnir violently zigzagged thousands of times across the darkened sky, moving so fast it looked like a continuous web of unbroken lightning.

The hammer completely pulverized every single one of the thousand fifty-foot glass spears into completely harmless, glittering dust before they could even get within a hundred yards of Thor’s silver boots.

Ititus stared in horror as his ultimate spell was reduced to a shimmering shower of glitter.

Having absolutely annihilated the divine artillery strike, Mjölnir didn’t fall to the earth.

It instantly reversed its trajectory, defying all laws of momentum.

The heavy iron weapon flew backward through the air like a loyal lethal boomerang, perfectly snapping back into Thor’s waiting outstretched hand with a deafening sound.

THWACK!

But Thor wasn’t done showing off her gear.

Ititus, seeing his ultimate attack effortlessly swatted out of the sky by a flying piece of iron, screamed in frustration.

"AHHHHHHHHH!"

He refused to be humiliated as he raised his four arms again, channeling the deep moisture of the realm.

He summoned a massive, hundred-foot-tall, mile-wide tsunami of boiling, liquid glass mixed with hyper-condensed black sand, intending to completely wash over her position and bury her under a molten mountain.

The tidal wave roared across the desert, swallowing the dunes in its path.

Thor didn’t throw the hammer this time. She reached down with her free left hand, tapping a thick runed iron belt clasped tightly around her narrow waist.

"And this beauty," Thor boasted loudly, her voice booming with pride as she completely ignored the incoming mile-wide tsunami of liquid death, "is Megingjörð! My Belt of Power!"

The ancient runes carved into the iron belt violently flared with blinding oceanic blue light.

When Thor wore Megingjörð, her already immense god-like physical strength wasn’t just slightly enhanced by a percentage buff... it was literally doubled.

It perfectly explained to Silas exactly why her physical density was so astronomical.

It was the reason why she could casually brush off the atmospheric pressure of the realm, and why she could completely atomize an eight-foot god with a single one-handed swing.

’Her physical stats are broken beyond repair.’

Thor firmly planted her silver boots into the vitrified glass of the crater.

"Come!"

As the hundred-foot tsunami of boiling liquid glass crashed down directly toward her head, Thor simply raised her free left hand with her palm open as she was completely unguarded.

KRA-THOOM!

She literally caught the hundred-foot tsunami of liquid glass with her bare hand!

The doubled physical strength of her body completely arrested the millions of tons of momentum in an instant.

The massive tidal wave violently stopped dead in its tracks the microsecond it touched her palm.

The boiling glass buckled, groaned, and then catastrophically shattered against her hand like a fragile pane of window glass hitting a reinforced titanium wall.

Millions of gallons of liquid sand rained down harmlessly around her, completely unable to push her back a single inch.

"Impossible!" Ititus shrieked, clutching his perfect golden hair with all four of his hands with his mind breaking. "You cannot physically stop a mountain with flesh!"

Inside the green barrier, the bureaucratic Druid violently slammed her wooden staff against the floor, her white eyes flashing with deep irritation.

"Executioner Thor!" the Druid yelled over the roaring destruction. "Stop explaining your divine armory to the target! It is completely against Council protocol to monologue about your equipped artifacts! Just execute him and let us go home!"

Thor glanced back over her silver-plated shoulder, offering the exasperated rule-obsessed Druid a cheeky dismissive grin.

"Why should I bother keeping secrets, tree-hugger?" Thor yelled back, casually swatting away a massive falling chunk of molten glass with the flat side of Mjölnir. "He isn’t going to live past today anyway! Let the dirt-man know exactly what killed him! It’s polite!"

Thor turned her bright electrical blue eyes back to the terrified Sand God. She held up both of her hands, wiggling her armored fingers.

Covering both of her hands and forearms up to the elbows were thick incredibly intricate silver-and-iron gauntlets that aggressively sparked with continuous violent violet static.

"And these!" Thor continued her enthusiastic mid-battle exposition, practically glowing with pride as she showed off her gauntlets. "These beauties are Járngreipr! My Gauntlets!"

Ititus gritted his teeth, his panic evolving into desperate cornered-animal aggression.

He began rapidly channeling mana, attempting to form a massive, spinning buzzsaw of hyper-dense obsidian sand in his two upper arms, aiming to slice her in half.

"You see," Thor yelled across the battlefield, completely ignoring his charging attack, "my hammer, Mjölnir, is absolutely perfect. It really is. But the handle was forged too short! And do you know why?!"

Thor shook her head, a brief flash of deep sibling annoyance crossing her face.

"Because that treacherous, scheming, shape-shifting witch of a sister I have, Loki, completely interfered with the dwarven blacksmiths during its creation! She bit the blacksmith in the eye as a fly just to ruin the forging process!"

Thor sighed, shaking her head at the memory of Loki’s pranks.

"Because the handle is so short," Thor explained as she locked eyes with the god. "the catastrophic force of swinging it at full power would completely shatter my own hands into a bloody pulp! So, I must wear these magical iron gloves to wield it properly!"

’Why is she telling me this?!’ Ititus panicked in his internal thoughts with his mind fracturing under the humiliating absurdity of the situation. ’Why is this absolute monster giving me a weapon lore lesson while she systematically destroys my entire realm?! Why did I ever open this Secret Realm?! Why didn’t I just stay hidden in the Vault?!’

A soul-crushing wave of regret flooded his divine core.

He had picked a fight with mortals, and in return, the universe had sent him a walking natural disaster.

"Now that we’re properly acquainted," Thor announced.

Her bright smile instantly vanished, completely replaced by the cold terrifying frown of the Council’s Executioner.

The air temperature plummeted as the static electricity in the air became so thick it visibly arched between the sand dunes.

Thor tightened her iron-gauntleted grip around the short, leather-wrapped handle of Mjölnir.

"Let’s see if you can survive a direct hit, Ititus."

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

Thor didn’t throw the hammer this time as she charged.

She exploded across the desert floor, completely breaking the sound barrier ten times over in a single step.

The concussive shockwave of her sprint violently kicked up a massive wake of pulverized glass and molten sand that trailed behind her like the fiery tail of a descending comet.

Ititus shrieked in terror as he threw the massive spinning obsidian buzzsaw directly at her face, while simultaneously erecting a dozen thick, heavily reinforced walls of compressed golden sand to block her path.

Thor didn’t even slow down, hell she didn’t attempt to dodge.

CRASH! SHATTER! KRA-THOOM!

She unga-bunga’d completely through his best defenses.

She swung Mjölnir in rapid devastating and crushing arcs.

The iron war hammer completely pulverized the incoming obsidian buzzsaw into microscopic dust with a single strike.

She didn’t weave around the massive sand walls... she violently smashed straight through the dead center of them, leaving massive, gaping holes in the heavily reinforced masonry as if she were walking through wet paper.

Ititus desperately tried to phase his golden body into intangible sand to escape the incoming strike with his four arms dissolving into grit.

But Thor was already there.

She leaped high into the air, her entire silhouette completely eclipsed by blinding, white-hot natural lightning.

She raised Mjölnir high above her head with both of her iron-gauntleted hands, channeling the maximum doubled physical strength of Megingjörð directly into the short handle.

"Midgard sends its regards!" Thor roared, her voice vibrating with apocalyptic thunder.

She brought the war hammer down directly toward the dead center of the Sand God’s skull.

The descending iron head of Mjölnir carried the apocalyptic weight of an entire falling moon.

It completely bypassed the physical laws of the Sovereign Realm.

It tore through the ambient oxygen, leaving a vacuum in its wake that completely deafened the battlefield.

For a fraction of a microsecond, as the war hammer plummeted directly toward the dead center of the Sand God’s flawless golden skull, time itself seemed to violently freeze.

In that frozen microsecond, suspended between absolute divinity and absolute oblivion, Ititus experienced a profound soul-tearing revelation.

’I am going to die,’ the Sand God realized with the terror completely eclipsing his narcissistic arrogance.

His divine consciousness frantically calculated the incoming trajectory.

There was no dodging... There was no blocking... The blonde monster above him was wielding an artifact forged to shatter planets, and she was doing it with mathematically doubled physical strength.

’Why did I open this realm?!’ Ititus screamed in his own thoughts with the regret tearing at his divine core. ’Why did I taunt those miserable mortals?! I should have stayed in the Vault! I should have stayed asleep!’

But Ititus was a veteran of the Ascension War.

He was a creature born from cosmic violence, and he was absolutely not going to simply kneel and let an executioner turn him into a glass parking lot.

If he was going to die, he would drag this arrogant thunder-girl into the void with him.

"I AM THE ARCHITECT!" Ititus roared, his voice completely defying the vacuum of space as his golden eyes ignited with blinding, suicidal white light.

In the face of death, the Sand God abandoned all pretense of physical preservation.

He bypassed the safety limiters of his own soul and forcefully triggered a catastrophic sacrificial state of divine existence.

He achieved True Singularity.

KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A shockwave of utterly incomprehensible world-ending magnitude violently rippled across the entire Secret Realm.

It wasn’t just a blast of air.

Every single, microscopic grain of sand within a fifty-mile radius was aggressively, instantaneously magnetized toward the god’s core, completely stripping the desert floor bare.

The rolling golden dunes, the deep subterranean quicksand, the swirling storms... all of it violently shot outward in a massive, expanding dome of hyper-condensed terrestrial pressure, completely peeling the desert away to reveal the raw, blackened bedrock of the realm itself.

The Secret Realm was instantly rendered entirely barren.

The concentrated gravitational mass of millions of tons of sand violently compressing and expanding outward completely disrupted Thor’s downward momentum.

As Mjölnir descended, Ititus manifested a new grotesquely over-muscled arm of molten, vitrified glass directly from his Singularity core.

He didn’t try to punch the hammer as he aimed directly for the woman wielding it.

KRA-CRASH!

With a desperate suicidal roar, the Sand God managed to violently swipe Thor completely out of the sky!

The physical impact of the molten glass arm colliding with Thor’s silver-plated ribs generated a concussive shockwave that physically cracked the amber sky above them.

"AGH!" Thor grunted in genuine surprise.
