Chapter 208: Ititius’s Death

She lost her mid-air leverage.

The Daughter of Odin was violently sent flying backward like a silver bullet, skipping across the exposed bedrock of the barren realm.

"CURSE YOU, WHORE!" Ititus shrieked at the top of his lungs, his voice warped and distorted by the density of the True Singularity he had just achieved. "I WILL GRIND YOUR BONES INTO DUST!"

Thor didn’t crash into the horizon.

Fifty yards away from the impact site, Thor simply flipped backward in mid-air with her silver-armored boots digging into the empty air itself as if it were solid ground.

She skidded backward on nothing but atmospheric friction, completely steadying herself in the air with terrifying grace.

She slowly lowered Mjölnir to her side as she wasn’t injured, hell she wasn’t even bleeding.

In fact, she was smiling.

It was a bright warrior’s smile.

"Oh," Thor laughed, her blue eyes crackling with fresh violent static. "So the dirt-man actually knows how to throw a punch! Finally! I thought I was going to fall asleep!"

The residual shockwave of Ititus’s True Singularity had kicked up millions of tons of fine, abrasive dust into the air.

Thor casually raised her free left hand with the ancient runes of Járngreipr glowing violently across her iron gauntlet.

BZZZZZT!

Using the raw static electricity aggressively radiating from her own body, Thor violently magnetized the ambient sand in the air.

The abrasive grit actively began to swirl and orbit completely around her silver armor, forming a massive high-speed planetary ring of levitating dust that bent entirely to her electrical will.

Down on the barren bedrock, inside the massive glowing green dome of the Aegis barrier, the Druid violently slammed her wooden staff against the floor, pouring massive reserves of pure nature mana into the shield.

"Brace yourselves, mortals!" the Druid yelled, sweat beading on her pale forehead. "The target has initiated a divine Singularity! The output is going to be catastrophic!"

Silas Graves gritted his teeth as he shielded Aeliana behind his broad back.

His golden-ringed eyes were locked entirely on the sky as he was witnessing a tier of combat that completely shattered the established meta of the Sovereign Realm.

KRA-THOOM!

Ititus didn’t wait.

The Sand God’s new form was a towering, fifteen-foot monstrosity of hyper-condensed, molten glass and dark shifting singularity sand.

The heat radiating from his body was actively melting the bedrock beneath his feet.

He lunged upward, completely breaking the sound barrier with his four massive arms transforming into elongated, razor-sharp scythes of boiling obsidian.

He slashed at Thor with terrifying, crisscrossing arcs of pure death, each strike carrying enough power to bisect a mountain.

CLANG! CLANG! KRA-SHATTER!

Thor didn’t even bother casting a spell as she completely utilized her artifact-enhanced physical stats.

She effortlessly bobbed and weaved through the blindingly fast scythe attacks with her movements leaving afterimages in the static-charged air.

When Ititus managed to corner her, Thor simply raised her left forearm.

The iron gauntlet of Járngreipr effortlessly deflected the boiling obsidian scythes, completely shattering the divine weapons upon impact with a shower of molten sparks.

"Too slow!" Thor mocked him cheerfully, completely treating the cosmic duel like a training spar.

She swung Mjölnir in a tight brutal uppercut.

CRUNCH!

The iron hammer caught Ititus directly under his massive molten jaw.

The shockwave rippled through his entire fifteen-foot frame, violently lifting him completely off the ground and launching him upward into the sky.

’She isn’t even trying!’ Ititus screamed. ’I have sacrificed my immortal foundation for this Singularity, and she is playing with me! Why couldn’t the Council have sent anyone else?!’

"Is that all the Singularity gives you?!" Thor laughed, rocketing into the air to pursue him. "My father’s ravens hit harder than that!"

Ititus roared in desperation as he spread his four arms wide, manipulating the localized gravity of his core.

"Abyssal Siphon!" Ititus commanded.

Thousands of localized, hyper-dense gravity wells violently opened up in the air completely surrounding Thor.

The invisible vortexes aggressively attempted to pull her limbs in completely opposite directions, intending to literally tear the Daughter of Odin into quarters.

At the exact same time, Ititus manifested a massive swirling tornado of absolute-zero freezing glass, completely enveloping her position to shred her armor.

It was a multi-layered divine execution technique.

Ititus was putting in work, completely burning his lifespan to fuel the combination.

Inside the green barrier, Valerius dropped to his knees, clutching his head as the ambient pressure of the clashing divine spells threatened to crush his skull.

Seraphina watched with her red eyes wide, completely paralyzed by the scale of the elemental mastery.

"She’s trapped!" Harper gasped, her purple eyes tracking the massive glass tornado.

Silas narrowed his eyes.

"N—"

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

A cataclysmic explosion of pure white lightning aggressively detonated from the dead center of the glass tornado!

The electrical voltage instantly superheated the absolute-zero glass, completely vaporizing the tornado into harmless steam.

Thor floated perfectly unharmed in the center of the blast radius, the static electricity entirely short-circuiting Ititus’s gravity wells.

Thor casually brushed a speck of dust off her silver breastplate.

"Nice trick," Thor complimented him, completely sincere. "But you rely way too much on environmental area-of-effect spells! You lack fundamental core strength!"

Thor aggressively tapped the thick iron Belt of Power around her waist.

Megingjörð flared with blinding oceanic blue light. Her doubled physical strength spiked to impossible reality-breaking heights.

Thor disappeared as she simply moved faster than light itself.

BAM! BAM! BAM! KRA-THOOM!

She appeared directly in front of Ititus, delivering a brutal, rapid-fire combination of physical hammer strikes that completely defied comprehension.

She smashed his left shoulder, pulverizing the molten joint.

She spun, driving the iron head of Mjölnir directly into his ribs, caving the entire right side of his Singularity core inward.

She brought her heavy silver-plated boot up in a devastating front kick that completely shattered his jaw, sending him violently crashing back down into the exposed bedrock below.

The impact carved a crater three miles wide.

Down in the green barrier, the Druid was actively sweating. The shockwaves were brutally hammering against her Aegis shield.

"Executioner Thor!" the Druid screamed over the roaring destruction, tapping her runes with urgency. "Stop playing with your food! The termination window is rapidly closing!"

Thor, hovering high above the massive crater, casually leaned over, cupping a hand to her ear to hear the Druid over the thunder.

"What?!" Thor yelled back.

"I am officially reminding you that you have exactly one minute remaining on the temporal tether!" the Druid shrieked, completely exasperated. "If you do not terminate the target within sixty seconds, your combat performance will drop below a Grade A assessment for this quarter!"

Thor completely froze in mid-air.

Her cheerful manic battle-smile instantly vanished as her blue eyes widened in horror.

"One minute?!" Thor gasped, genuine panic entering her voice for the very first time. "What?! A Grade A?! Are you serious?! I need that quarterly performance bonus to afford the good mead in Valhalla!"

Down in the crater, Ititus was aggressively pulling himself out of the shattered bedrock with his Singularity core actively repairing his missing limbs with the surrounding dust.

"I WILL NOT BE IGNORED!" Ititus roared, completely misinterpreting her sudden pause as hesitation.

He gathered every single remaining drop of his divine mana, preparing to launch a final realm-destroying explosion.

Thor aggressively snapped her attention back to the Sand God.

She was no longer smiling as she looked stressed about her performance review.

"You!" Thor pointed Mjölnir directly at Ititus. "You are actively jeopardizing my mead budget and that is the final straw."

Thor raised her iron-gauntleted hands high into the air, holding Mjölnir perfectly vertical.

She didn’t tease him anymore as she simply called upon the primordial power of her bloodline.

KRA-KRA-KRA-CRACK!

The pitch-black, fractured sky of the Secret Realm violently tore completely open.

The very fabric of the dimension actively shattered like a delicate glass dome struck by a sledgehammer.

A single impossibly massive bolt of pure apocalyptic blue lightning aggressively descended from the cosmic void above.

It was a thousand times more powerful, a thousand times more dense than anything Harper had managed before.

It was a pillar of absolute celestial judgment.

The lightning violently struck Mjölnir, fully charging the legendary artifact until the iron head glowed with the intensity of a dying sun.

Ititus stared up at the descending apocalypse.

’I...’ the Sand God thought, the final pathetic remnants of his ego completely evaporating as he stared into the blinding light. ’...I really shouldn’t have traded my treasures for tha—’

"EXECUTION!" Thor roared at the top of her lungs.

She violently swung Mjölnir downward in a devastating, two-handed vertical strike.

KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The blinding pillar of blue lightning completely detached from the hammer, screaming downward and impacting Ititus directly in the center of his chest.

The sound of the thunder booming afterward was so catastrophically loud that it completely shattered the physics of the realm.

The overwhelming electrical voltage didn’t just burn the Sand God... it instantaneously annihilated him.

The fifteen-foot Singularity body of molten glass and condensed sand was completely erased from the physical universe.

The lightning pillar drove straight through his deleted body and directly struck the massive golden Realm Core hovering near the bedrock below.

CRACK!

A fatal fissure violently spider-webbed directly through the center of the Realm Core as the light died and the ambient pressure instantly vanished.

The God of the Eternal Sands was permanently dead.

The dust slowly settled over the completely barren, blackened bedrock of the ruined Secret Realm.

The sky above remained a shattered, pitch-black void with the spatial integrity of the dimension critically failing now that the core was cracked.

CLINK!

With a soft metallic sound, Thor floated down from the sky, landing casually on the vitrified bedrock.

She smoothly spun Mjölnir by the strap, holstering the massive weapon comfortably at her hip.

The blinding white lightning faded from her silver armor, and her braided blonde hair finally stopped standing on end from the static.

She completely ignored the massive smoking crater where a god had existed ten seconds prior.

Instead, she immediately turned around and aggressively jogged over to the massive, glowing green dome where the Druid was standing.

"Well?!" Thor demanded eagerly, leaning down and staring intensely at the Druid through the magical barrier, her blue eyes wide with anticipation. "Did I make it?! Check the runes! Check the runes!"

The Druid let out a long exhausted sigh.

She slowly lowered her wooden staff, allowing the massive green Aegis barrier to safely dissipate into harmless green light, releasing the trapped humans.

The Druid tapped the glowing, bureaucratic runes carved into the shaft of her staff as she reviewed the cosmic telemetry data of the execution.

"Target Ititus confirmed permanently terminated," the Druid announced in her dry, monotone voice.

She glanced up at the incredibly stressed thunder god.

"Combat efficiency: Adequate. Time elapsed: Acceptable. Collateral damage: Astronomically high, but restricted to an unauthorized realm."

The Druid sighed again.

"You have been awarded an A-minus assessment for this execution, Daughter of Odin."

Thor completely froze then, she threw both of her iron-gauntleted fists high into the air.

"YES!" Thor cheered at the absolute top of her lungs, doing a small victorious little hop on the blackened bedrock. "A-minus! The mead budget is secured! Take that, Freyja! You stuck-up nature witch, my quarterly reviews are flawless!"

The surviving Lords stood perfectly still on the bedrock.

They were completely speechless.

They had just watched a divine entity shatter the sky, atomize a god, and then do a celebratory little dance over her corporate performance review.

Having successfully secured her bonus, Thor finally turned her attention completely toward the mortals she had just saved.

She aggressively swaggered over to the group of Humans with her silver armor clanking softly.

She offered them a bright cheerful smile.

"Greetings, people of Midgard!" Thor boomed pleasantly, resting her hands on her hips. "You all did remarkably well holding out against that delusional dirt-man! I apologize for the delay; cosmic traffic was absolutely dreadful today."

The elite didn’t know how to respond.

Valerius slowly lowered his mythril sword, completely dumbfounded. Seraphina avoided eye contact, deeply intimidated by the raw elemental supremacy she had just witnessed but as Thor’s electrical blue eyes casually swept over the group of surviving mortals, her gaze abruptly halted.

Her smile slightly faded, replaced by an expression of deep curiosity.

She locked eyes completely with one specific man standing near the back of the group.

Silas Graves.

The dark-haired Lord was standing with his broad shoulders squared, actively shielding Aeliana behind his body.

Thor tilted her head slightly with her divine instincts aggressively flaring.

This mortal... he was different.
