Chapter 253: Feel Free To Bow

Raguk watched the Njeriuujk male blink at him a few times, not understanding what he had meant.

"She asked for 30," repeated the male slowly with a nod of his head.

"She didn’t specify what 30. So, I brought her 30 servants, each holding 30 chests of gold and treasures, and there are 30 ships outside waiting for her command," shrugged Raguk as if it wasn’t a big deal, and honestly, it wasn’t. He could just as easily given her 30,000 or even 300,000 people, gold, and ships.

Whatever she wanted, he would give it to her.

"She was asking for 30 chwila," said the Saalistaja male on his other side.

His statement caused Raguk to blink. She was asking for 30 chwila? What female asked for time? They always wanted proof that the male would be able to give them what they needed. He had never come across a female that only asked for time.

"You’ll get used to it," said the Njeriuujk as he patted him on the shoulder.

Raguk only grunted, not sure what his next move should be. He turned to look at his female behind him to get some guidance.

His female.

The words alone made him feel invincible like he could take on the universe and win.

"Keep the treasures and the ships; send the people away," answered one of the Saalistaja beside her. "We don’t let anyone outside of us on the ship."

Raguk nodded. He completely agreed with that statement. No one would want their mate to be around any more people than absolutely necessary.

"Put down the gold, then return to your ships," commanded Raguk with a wave of his hand. Twenty-nine Uugazts bowed their head in compliance and gently placed the chests in their hands down on the floor before turning around and leaving the way they came.

The thirtieth one didn’t move. She raised her chin and looked at the male that she had always loved since the first time she had seen him when she was a young girl of five.

Not once had she ever seen their king with another female. He had hundreds, if not thousands, of them, falling at his feet, and yet... he never even looked at them.

It was then that she knew he was saving himself for when she grew up. He must have felt the same connection as her; that was the only possible explanation. He was the king of all Uugazts; he could have anything and everything he wanted. People trembled when he walked by, and yet, he was still so alone.

The female straightened her spine and stared at the male in front of her.

Ignoring everyone else, she opened her mouth. "I want you," she said without a trace of hesitation. "You may court me."

Raguk reared back as if he had been struck. Who was this female to say such a thing? Yes, it was not abnormal for the female to make the first move, but normally, they would let the male make the first overture.

And since he had never seen this female before in his life, he knew that there was no way for him to have done that.

There was a low chuckle behind him that sent shivers of pleasure up his spine. The male to his side stepped back, allowing his female to stand beside him. "You are giving permission for my mate to court you?" asked his queen, and Raguk almost fell to his knees in worship. Never before had he felt like this. It was like his world had shattered as soon as he had scented her, only to be brought back together with her at the center.

The Uugazt female raised her chin and looked down at his mate.

"You are not Uugazt," said the female as she raised an eyebrow at his mate. Never before had he wanted to kill a female, but today seemed to be the first for many things.

"You are right," said his female with a nod of her head. "I am not Saalistaja, I am not Njeriuujk, I am not Uugazt. I am not many things, but do you want to know something that I am? I am his mate. The only one that he will ever have in his lifetime. And do you know what that makes you?"

----

The female in front of me blinked rapidly, and I could see the tears forming in her eyes. I am sure that I was supposed to feel bad about crushing her so completely, but I am a psycho bitch.

I wanted to crush her so completely that there was no way for her to stand up and come at me from behind. I had enough enemies; I didn’t need a jilted lover adding to that list.

"You are nothing," I whispered, stepping forward until I was standing right in front of her. She was a few inches taller than me, even with the heels, but I was getting used to being the shortest person in a room.

"I am the eldest daughter of the head of the ninth horde," she answered me, her chin rising up even higher, if that was possible. Too bad for her; I had no idea what that meant.

I turned to look at Ye’tab, who had gone to stand beside Da’kea.

"It would be the equivalent of a princess," said Ye’tab. The sweet male must have been studying Earth terms and cultures behind my back in order for him to be able to answer like that. It made my heart melt that much more for him.

I nodded my head in thanks as I turned my attention back to the female in front of me. I didn’t know what Raguk’s title was equivalent to in Earth terms, but that didn’t mean anything to me.

"Ah, a princess," I said, nodding my head and smiling at her. "You’ll have to forgive me for not understanding your customs."

She nodded at me haughtily. "Feel free to bow," she said, her gaze piercing into me.

"Sorry, Sweetheart," I answered with a shake of my head. "I don’t bow to anyone." So much for thinking that she was nothing more than a servant. I looked at Raguk to see how he wanted things to be done.
