Chapter 59: We’ll be unstoppable![Fixed]

Yeon felt like he was going l insane, his mind spinning as he stood frozen in the center of the office. He stared at his father in disbelief, wondering if his ears were playing tricks on him or if he was really hearing his father say all these things.

Teon slowly stood up from his chair, fully revealing his incredibly tall, broad, and muscular frame. Even though he was getting older, his physical presence was still completely overwhelming, his massive shoulders and thick chest filling out his tailored suit perfectly.

He towered over the large wooden desk, casting a long, dark shadow across the floor that seemed to swallow up the light in the room.

He chuckled deeply, the low sound rumbling in his chest as he raised a thick hand, touching his own neat black hair.

He looked toward the television screen with a proud expression and said, "I knew it, a son with the same hair as me will always be destined for greatness."

Yeon chuckled dryly in response, the sound filled with a mixture of nervous panic and pure frustration.

"What... are you saying, dad? Leon is not a part of this family, he’s a failure! Trash! He doesn’t belong here." he said, refusing to accept that the brother he had always despised was suddenly being elevated above him.

Teon slowly glanced at Yeon, his dark eyes narrowing into a cold, piercing look of disdain. He clicked his tongue in disappointment, the sharp sound cutting through Yeon’s frantic protests like a blade and instantly making the younger man freeze in his tracks.

"And who is the success here... you couldn’t even pass the A-rank examination, and worse, you got beaten up so stupidly by that little girl." he said.

Yeon gasped quietly, his chest tightening as if he had just been struck in the gut by a heavy hammer. His lips opened slightly to offer some sort of defense or explanation, but no words came out of his throat, leaving him standing there with his mouth agape.

"Leon casually killed two B-rank players, can you do something like that? Yet, you still consider him a failure?" Teon continued.

Yeon gnashed his teeth tightly together, lowering his gaze to the floor, unable to meet his father’s terrifying, judgmental eyes any longer.

"You’re meant to be proud of me, father..." he whispered.

Teon chuckled softly, shaking his head in disappointment.

"I expected more... from someone who carries my blood," he said, his words landing like heavy blows in the quiet room.

He raised a hand, dismissively waving it toward Yeon to emphasize his point. "At your age, I had already reached A-rank. Do better."

Yeon clenched his fists so hard that his fingernails dug deep into his palms, threatening to break the skin. A fierce anger surged through his entire body, making his breathing turn shallow and ragged.

He had to force himself to stand perfectly still, fighting the overwhelming urge to lash out in frustration. He had worked so hard to climb the ranks and earn his place, yet his father still dismissed his efforts so casually.

He stared down at the floor, his vision blurring slightly from the sheer intensity of his boiling rage.

’That fucking bastard... he shows up once more, and he’s the ’star’ in his eyes all over again?’ he thought.

After everything he had done, it felt like his useless brother had shattered all of his hard-earned progress in a single afternoon.

Leon had barely been back for a few hours, yet he was already occupying their father’s entire attention and stealing the spotlight that Yeon had fought so desperately to keep for himself.

The fact that Leon was receiving praise for committing mass murder made the situation feel incredibly unfair and maddening.

He had seen this same exact thing happen before during their childhood, and the familiar, stinging pain of neglect was rushing back with a vengeance.

It felt like a sick, repeating nightmare that he could never escape, no matter how strong he became. He had spent his entire life trying to prove that he was the superior twin, constantly pushing his limits to earn his father’s approval.

Now, even though he had successfully awakened an S-rank talent and was widely regarded as one of the players with the highest potential in the entire world, it was still happening again.

No matter how many achievements he piled up, and no matter how much the public praised his incredible future, his father would still cast him aside the moment Leon showed a flash power.

Yeon forced his jaw to unlock, swallowing the bitter taste of defeat before he finally spoke.

"What... do you want to do then, dad? You disowned him, and now you’re just going to... accept him back as your son...?" he said, looking up towards his father.

He wanted to expose the utter ridiculousness of the plan, hoping his father would realize how chaotic and embarrassing it would look to the public if they suddenly welcomed back the very person they had formally kicked out of their lives.

Teon slowly nodded his head, completely unfazed by his son’s emotional protest. He looked back at the television screen, watching the lingering shots of the ruined corpses on the road with an incredibly detached, cold expression.

"Those players’ deaths are sad..." he said, though there wasn’t a single shred of actual grief in his eyes. "But an asset as powerful as that deserves to be nowhere but by my side. Especially since he’s my son, hehe."

He let out a dark, quiet chuckle that sent a shiver down Yeon’s spine, revealing just how little he cared about him or even the other players compared to the acquisition of power.

Teon’s dark eyes shone with greed as he stared at the screen, his mind already calculating the massive future of their guild.

He leaned forward, his massive chest pressing against the edge of the polished desk as his voice rose with a manic excitement.

"With me at the front, and Leon and you behind me, we’ll be unstoppable... unstoppable!" He threw his arms out slightly, gesturing to the grand future he was already visualizing in his head. "Roaring Lions could even become an SS-rank guild!"
