Chapter 535: Chapter 535: In the End, He Still Found Her

Caden Lockwood’s eyebrow twitched, but his gaze still didn’t move away from Evelyn Morgan. Instead, he asked, "Do we have a razor?"

Sean Ashton was taken aback, then quickly took a razor out of the car’s compartment and handed it to Caden Lockwood.

Looking at Caden Lockwood again, his face was pale and haggard, his eyes were bloodshot, and he already had deep dark circles. He hadn’t had a decent meal in five days, and managing one meal a day was quite an accomplishment. He had clearly lost weight.

Having been by Caden Lockwood’s side for so many years, Sean Ashton had truly never seen him in such a defeated and rundown state. He couldn’t help but feel heartache.

Caden Lockwood took the razor, faced the mirror, and after shaving off his stubble, tidied his hair, put on sunglasses, opened the car door, and got out.

After straightening his clothes, Caden Lockwood continued to step toward the restaurant where Evelyn Morgan was.

Sean Ashton stayed by Caden Lockwood’s side, and once Caden Lockwood entered the restaurant and found a seat, Sean Ashton started communicating with the restaurant owner, offering ten times the price to buy his restaurant, asking him to immediately clear the place, and transferring the money directly.

The offer of ten times the price made the owner decide to accept the deal without a word, and he began to have all the staff leave, saying the small restaurant was suddenly closing its doors.

The restaurant was instantly filled with countless angry voices, and many eyes fell on Caden Lockwood, seeing the cold aura emanating from him, as well as Sean Ashton at the door telling everyone to leave quickly. Shockingly, no one dared to make a fuss.

Everyone could tell that Caden Lockwood was not someone to be trifled with.

Evelyn Morgan stood in place, and the once-crowded restaurant suddenly became almost empty.

Seeing Caden Lockwood sitting at the dining table, even with sunglasses on, she recognized him immediately.

He ultimately... still found her?

It took a bit longer than she imagined.

It actually took five days?

Her lips awkwardly curled, and even though five days had passed, Evelyn Morgan’s mind was still muddled.

Now, seeing Caden Lockwood, Evelyn Morgan’s heart was in her throat, pounding wildly, and her face was unmistakably flustered.

Even though Caden Lockwood’s eyes were covered with sunglasses, Evelyn Morgan still felt—the moment, Caden Lockwood was glaring at her.

"Order food." Caden Lockwood’s voice was low and hoarse, carrying a strong sense of pressure.

Evelyn looked at the owner. The owner was already engrossed in looking at the extra money in his account, not bothering with her at all.

Even the complaints from those customers who were driven away didn’t matter to him at all.

Evelyn sighed lightly, knowing that Caden Lockwood had come for her. In any case, she couldn’t avoid facing him forever.

Gathering her courage, Evelyn finally approached Caden Lockwood.

"I’m sorry." Evelyn spoke softly, "Our restaurant is no longer in business."

"A lifetime of happiness." Caden Lockwood continued talking to himself.

"What?" Evelyn completely didn’t understand.

"May you have many children and grandchildren." Caden Lockwood continued speaking.

"..."

"Happy wedding."

"..."

"A long and lasting relationship."

"..."

"Eternal happiness."

Listening to Caden Lockwood keep saying these congratulatory words, Evelyn couldn’t help but raise her voice, "What exactly do you want?"

"Serve me these dishes." Caden Lockwood said coldly.

Evelyn’s face stiffened. Looking at Caden Lockwood, she suddenly realized that the words he said earlier were dish names.

"We don’t have such fancy dishes in our restaurant." Evelyn replied with no good tone.

"You go make them." Caden Lockwood commanded.
