"Well, this field is made from divine energy, so it’s only natural that there would be this clash."
But it seemed that in terms of this clash, whichever side was stronger would be able to exert their pressure on the weaker side.
Though this really shouldn’t be a surprise since this kind of thing was just normal.
As long as anything was strong enough, they would be able to suppress everything around them.
So at the very least, this stopwatch did have an effect when it came to fighting against the corruption energy monsters.
The other thing that I wanted to test wasn’t something that could be tested right now since I was using the time stop power to stop the corruption energy monsters.
"It really is a shame that only one power can be used at the same time."
With a sigh, I waved my hand and released swords formed from my creation divine energy. Though they were inside of the time stop zone, they moved without any impediment.
At this point, it was easy for me to control the time stop zone and create pockets that would allow my attacks to move without being stopped by it.
After the corruption energy monsters were all taken care of, I was planning to head back to see if there was anything wrong with the village. Only before that could happen, I heard more shouting from the distance.
"Why are there so many of these monsters?"
Without hesitation, I headed off in the direction of this shouting.
Only when I arrived, I couldn’t help knitting my brows.
The corruption energy monsters in this place surpassed the number of corruption energy monsters that I had faced before.
Seeing this, there were two questions that were on my mind.
"Where did they come from?"
"Are there more of them?"
With these thoughts in mind, I didn’t go to help the soldiers right away since they had already retrieved the weapons that they needed to deal with these corruption energy monsters.
Since that was the case, I could use the time that they would buy to see if I could find anything.
It was just that I couldn’t find anything strange about these corruption energy monsters. None of them seemed to be any different from the normal corruption energy monsters that I had seen before.
So it really didn’t make any sense why they were so determined to attack this place.
Seeing that I couldn’t find anything different about them and that the soldiers were about to collapse, I couldn’t just keep watching.
In the end, I sent a wave of flames down at the soldiers.
At first, the soldiers panicked and avoided the flames as much as they could.
But once they felt the holy sensation that came from the flames and saw that it didn’t hurt them at all, they slowly started calming down. Only that changed when they saw the corruption energy monsters surrounded by the flames.
The divine energy flames weren’t strong enough that they instantly burnt the corruption energy monsters away. Instead, they were slowly burning them and making them disappear.
Once they saw this, the soldiers didn’t hesitate at all to charge at the corruption energy monsters. It was as if they held a personal grudge towards them with how they swung their weapons out at the corruption energy monsters.
With the corruption energy monsters being weakened by the divine energy flames, they just couldn’t resist even a single blow from the soldiers.
In the end, it was a one sided slaughter between the two sides.
But even then, it didn’t seem like that was enough.
"There’s more monsters!"
The moment that I heard this, I went in the direction of that shout.
After all, there was no need for me to help these people anymore. The flames were still there and they would clean up for me, so there was no need to worry about them.
When I arrived at the next location, I found that there was another batch of these corruption energy monsters.
In fact, it seemed like there were even more of them that appeared this time.
The first group was the smallest, the second group was twice as big as the first group, and this third group seemed to be three times as big as the second group. Which meant that it was already six times as large as the first group.
The more that I thought about it, the more confused I was.
"Where are they coming from and why are they so determined?"
It really didn’t make any sense that they would attack a place like this that was just recovering from the damages of the corruption energy.
But there really wasn’t time to think about this.
Since there were six times as many, I had to take action right away as I released my flames to cover all of these corruption energy monsters. They had to be taken down or else casualties might appear among the guards.
I made sure to make the flames a bit stronger this time so that the corruption energy monsters would be even weaker. The soldiers didn’t miss this and they immediately charged forward with their specially prepared weapons.
With all of us working together, the corruption energy monsters simply didn’t stand a chance.
But even before this group was taken care of, there was another cry.
I had to run off once more to deal with this new group that was even bigger than the third group of corruption energy monsters.
Then there was even a fifth group that was larger that appeared.
At this rate, it really seemed like we were going to be swarmed by the corruption energy monsters that were drawn in. But I knew that it was only about holding on until reinforcements arrived.
With how many corruption energy monsters appeared, it was impossible that no one noticed these movements.
Once the movements of the corruption energy monsters were noticed, there would be countless people running here to help.
