Chapter 464: Chapter 463: You Get Married, I Get Married 2

Patrick Grant chuckled. He didn’t press the issue and simply asked, "Have you made up your mind?"

Leona Grant gave herself almost no time to think, blurting out, "Yes."

The old man gave her a meaningful look and smiled again. "Then go ahead and get married."

...

「Two days later, Annabelle Linton and Aaron Wyatt returned from Albion.」

The wedding was only a week away. Although the official ceremony would be held in Albion, that didn’t mean they could just handle things carelessly here.

Of course, there was no need to make a huge fuss, either. Keeping it low-key was the plan.

Back in their old apartment, Annabelle Linton spent the entire day sleeping off her jet lag.

That evening, Aaron Wyatt looked at her with an amused, resigned expression. "Alright, Sleepyhead," he said. "Time to get up and get something to eat."

Annabelle Linton sat up and stared at him, still dazed with sleep.

Seeing the faint, melancholy look in her eyes, Aaron Wyatt felt his entire heart melt.

Annabelle Linton wasn’t like other girls, who had to pout or act cute to seem endearing and vulnerable.

For someone as detached as she was, the moment she let her guard down and revealed even a hint of a dazed expression, it was devastatingly cute.

’Just like Leona Grant.’

He couldn’t help but ruffle her hair. "Get dressed," he said gently. "We’re going out to eat. If you don’t get something in your stomach, your gastritis is going to flare up."

Annabelle Linton blinked slowly and replied softly, "Okay."

She then rubbed her eyes, got out of bed, washed her face, and got dressed.

She pulled open her closet.

While most women’s closets were a riot of different styles and colors, Annabelle’s was comparatively plain.

She’d loved the color white since she was a little girl. Plus, it complemented her skin tone, making her stand out. As a result, eight out of ten pieces of clothing in her closet were white.

It couldn’t be helped; that was just her personality.

Her outfit today was simple.

She had on a white short-sleeved shirt and khaki short overalls that revealed her long, slender legs. She wore a pair of white high-top canvas sneakers, her flaxen-colored hair was down, framing her face with wispy bangs. The overall look was simple, beautiful, and brimming with youth.

She left the room with her hands in the pockets of her overalls, looking nonchalant and cool.

When Aaron Wyatt saw her, his eyes flashed with admiration. "Annabelle, you look beautiful today," he said sincerely.

"You’ve said that a million times already," Annabelle Linton replied with a resigned laugh.

"That’s because you give me a reason to say it sincerely every single time," Aaron Wyatt replied, his tone even more earnest.

Annabelle Linton smiled. "You’re silly."

Aaron Wyatt smiled back, draping an arm over her shoulder as they headed out.

Their relationship had always been like this. It wasn’t one of fiery passion, but it was filled with a gentle warmth and the comfort of an ordinary life.

’A simple, unhurried life—that was what was real.’

And for Annabelle Linton, that was enough.

The life she wanted had never been one of immense wealth or high status. To be free and live a simple, ordinary life—that was more than good enough...

The two of them went to a Western-style restaurant for dinner.

Aaron Wyatt held Annabelle Linton’s hand as they walked in. He always had to hold her hand no matter where they went, which just made Annabelle smile in resignation.

"How many in your party, sir? Do you have a reservation?"

A waitress approached as soon as they walked in. Upon seeing Aaron Wyatt, she blushed.

’Wow, he’s so handsome. Why are there so many good-looking men out today?’

Aaron Wyatt offered a gentle smile. "A table for two. And yes, we have a reservation."

Aaron Wyatt gave her the reservation details. After confirming them, the waitress said, "Right this way, please."

As they followed the waitress, Annabelle Linton shot him a look, raising an eyebrow. "When did you make a reservation?"
