Chapter 452: Chapter 452: Third Wedding Anniversary
Vivian Yates stared at him in shock, seeing the intense urgency in his eyes. This was the first time he had ever been so harsh with her.
But she had to stall for time. She grabbed him again and said firmly, "But you’ll die!"
Leona Grant violently shoved her to the ground and roared, "She’s my wife!"
After roaring those words, he turned and ran into the warehouse.
The Leona Grant outside the dream followed Aaron Wyatt into the warehouse.
The area where Annabelle Linton was located was already a raging inferno.
"Annabelle Linton! Annabelle Linton!" Aaron Wyatt screamed desperately.
Leona Grant watched him, feeling conflicted. ’Should I hope he saves Annabelle Linton or not?’
’Forget it, I’d better hope he does. It’s just too dangerous!’
"Aaron...?" Annabelle Linton asked in disbelief when she heard Aaron Wyatt’s voice.
The moment Aaron Wyatt heard her voice, he spotted her and charged into the sea of flames to the rescue.
Seeing this, Leona Grant suddenly felt a pang of heartache.
’Even though I don’t know what this scene is all about, Aaron Wyatt must have done things like this for Annabelle Linton before.’
’If he hadn’t, why would Annabelle Linton have agreed to be with him?’
The two of them burst out of the sea of flames. Having escaped death, they embraced, and Annabelle Linton burst into tears.
Just then, the Leona Grant from the dream arrived. Seeing the scene, a flash of fury crossed his eyes before he sneered and turned to leave.
Annabelle Linton quickly ran forward to explain, but he pushed her away with a blank expression and said coolly, "I was just worried I wouldn’t be able to answer to Grandpa if you died. Do whatever you want."
Annabelle Linton stared blankly as he walked away, speechless.
The Leona Grant outside the dream watched Annabelle Linton’s expression and sighed.
’In the real world, it seems I’m the same way. I get angry whenever I see Annabelle Linton and Aaron Wyatt together.’
’But the Annabelle Linton of this time would explain things to him, whereas in the real world, she’ll never explain anything to me again.’
’And on top of that, she’s engaged to another man.’
Whenever Leona Grant thought of this, his heart ached terribly.
He pressed his lips together and looked at her intently.
’Annabelle Linton, what in the world happened to us?’
’Sigh.’
A moment later, another flash of white light passed, and the scene before his eyes changed once more.
...
Leona Grant appeared in front of the old family home.
Grandpa came out leaning on his cane, laughing heartily as he said to them, "Leona, Annabelle, happy third wedding anniversary! Grandpa has arranged a trip to Crouching Tiger Villa for you two. Go have fun, and it would be even better if you came back with a baby."
Annabelle Linton’s face instantly flushed red. She muttered with feigned annoyance, "Grandpa..."
Leona Grant was completely stunned. ’Third anniversary??’
’He and Annabelle Linton had only been married for a little over two and a half years. They were divorced now, so where did a third year come from?’
Startled, he subconsciously glanced at the Leona Grant in the dream.
Upon hearing this, the dream version of Leona Grant’s lips curved up slightly, but then his eyes grew cold as if he’d remembered something. He put on an impatient look and said, "Let’s go. Stop wasting time."
With that, he walked on ahead. Annabelle Linton was still beaming, smiling with pressed lips as she waved goodbye to Grandpa.
Grandpa smiled, but as he watched Annabelle Linton turn to leave, he sighed with a heavy heart.
In the car, Annabelle Linton couldn’t hide her excitement as she looked all around. Unseen by her, Leona Grant watched her with a complicated expression in the rearview mirror.
The Leona Grant outside the dream was becoming more and more confused. ’The very first part of the dream was something I’d actually experienced.’
’But what about now?’
’And what was that previous dream scene all about?!’
’And that complicated look in his eyes... could Vivian Yates have been stirring up trouble between them again?’
