Chapter 453: Chapter 453: What Is This Idiot Doing?
The two were silent for the entire ride. Leona Grant’s expression was grim. The car arrived at Crouching Tiger Villa, and the moment Annabelle Linton got out, he drove off.
Annabelle Linton stood there for a moment, sighed, and went into the villa alone.
She then spent the entire day alone.
After driving for a short distance, Leona Grant abruptly stopped the car and slammed the steering wheel hard.
"Damn it!"
He took an exquisite, dark-blue velvet square box from the car. He opened it to reveal an incredibly precious and beautiful necklace.
Leona Grant stared at it for a moment, his face expressionless, before violently throwing the necklace out the window.
Then he pulled out his phone. It was playing a seven-second video of Annabelle Linton sobbing uncontrollably, which a maid had filmed. He watched for a moment, then violently smashed the phone against the car window.
"Faithless tramp, always looking for something better!"
"He’s just some guy! So what if he’s gone? How could she cry like that! And after she pretended to be so happy about our anniversary in front of Grandpa. What a hypocrite!"
The Leona Grant outside the dream watched himself having a meltdown, a little perplexed.
’Who was I cursing? Annabelle Linton?’
’I just saw Annabelle Linton crying on the phone. Why was she crying? And who is this "man" I was talking about?’
’Aaron Wyatt?’
Curious, Leona Grant waited for the day to pass.
That evening, Leona Grant came to take Annabelle Linton home.
He entered Annabelle Linton’s room.
Annabelle Linton had fallen asleep in the bathtub, her body covered in white foam. She was incredibly beautiful.
A flash of awe and tenderness crossed his eyes. He tested the water temperature—it had gone completely cold.
"Silly girl. You’ll catch a cold," Leona Grant said with a sigh of resignation. He was about to lift her out when he heard Annabelle Linton murmur in a daze, "Aaron Wyatt... I’m sorry..."
A sharp glint flashed in the eyes of both Leona Grants. Through gritted teeth, they hissed in unison, "Annabelle Linton!"
Annabelle Linton didn’t wake up.
Leona Grant grew even more furious. He abruptly turned on the showerhead above the tub.
Cold water poured down on her, and Annabelle Linton jolted awake. As Leona Grant stared into her clear, glistening eyes, his Adam’s apple bobbed.
After they stared at each other for a few seconds, his face grew cold again. He sneered, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he said, "Annabelle Linton, did you really think pulling these cheap tricks would make me give you a second look? You should take a good, long look in the mirror!"
’So now that man is gone, you’re trying to seduce me?’
Annabelle Linton desperately wanted to explain, but Leona Grant gave her no opportunity. He turned and strode out the door, his retreating back suggesting he was fleeing the scene.
She let out another dejected sigh and got into the car, her hair still dripping wet.
The Leona Grant outside the dream sighed as well.
Once again, they were silent for the entire ride.
Leona Grant grew more and more sullen as he drove. Just then, his phone rang. It was news that Vivian Yates had been in a car accident.
A flicker of irritation crossed his eyes.
Annabelle Linton then asked what happened, and he told her Vivian Yates had been in a car accident.
Leona Grant said nothing more, but his expression was one of complete indifference.
Remembering how she had called out another man’s name in her sleep, his anger flared. "Get out!" he said coldly.
Annabelle Linton assumed he was going to see Vivian Yates and tried to follow. A flash of fury crossed Leona Grant’s eyes, and he hauled her out of the car before speeding off.
Watching this, the Leona Grant outside the dream grew angry.
’What is that moron doing?!’
However, Leona Grant didn’t go to the hospital. Instead, he went to a bar to drink.
’Any fool could see what Vivian Yates felt for me. Was this woman seriously going to play matchmaker for her own rival?’
’Who does she think I am?’
’Someone she can come to and leave whenever she wants?!’
After sitting for a while, he came back out, agitated. But it had started raining, and a flicker of worry crossed Leona Grant’s eyes.
PS: Second Chapter of the day. You all know which scene this is, right? Why do I get the feeling that no one understands what’s going on? (frustrated)
