Chapter 451: Chapter 451: Don’t You Know She’s My Responsibility

With that, a fire was ignited outside the room.

’They said it was a choice between two, which means I can only save one!’

A sharp glint flashed in Leona Grant’s eyes. His gaze swept back and forth between the two women as he appeared to weigh his options.

Watching his dream self hesitate, the Leona Grant outside the dream roared, "Bastard! What are you standing there for? Save Annabelle Linton! Don’t you know who your wife is?!"

He then rushed over to untie Annabelle Linton’s ropes, but it was completely useless!

The Leona Grant in the dream weighed his options for a moment, then looked at Annabelle Linton.

Annabelle Linton looked at him expectantly. Leona Grant met her gaze with a complicated expression, then frowned as if deep in thought. He averted his eyes and finally walked over to untie Vivian Yates’s ropes.

Tears instantly streamed down Annabelle Linton’s face.

Seeing this, the Leona Grant outside the dream charged forward and threw a punch at his dream self, but his fist passed right through him, unable to land a blow.

"You son of a bitch!"

He rushed back to Annabelle Linton’s side and tried to explain, "Annabelle, don’t be sad. I never wanted to leave you. I’m your husband! I don’t know who that bastard is, so just ignore him. Someone will come save you, and I’ll stay right here with you!"

But no one could hear him.

A short while later, the Leona Grant in the dream freed Vivian Yates, picked her up, and started carrying her out.

After taking a few steps, he stopped and turned to Annabelle Linton, saying with determination, "I will come back for you."

With that, he strode out.

After Leona Grant left, the fire began to grow, and Annabelle Linton hung her head and wept.

The Leona Grant outside the dream tried to comfort her, but Annabelle Linton couldn’t hear a word.

He gritted his teeth and ran after his dream self. ’That moron is ignoring his own wife to save that bitch!’

As Leona Grant carried Vivian Yates out of the warehouse, his bodyguards immediately rushed forward.

He tossed Vivian Yates to the bodyguards, then spun around and sprinted back the way he came, heading for Annabelle Linton.

But just as he was about to run, Vivian Yates grabbed him in a hug. "Leona, don’t go! I’m scared!"

Leona Grant froze for a second before his brow furrowed deeply. He pried her hands off him. "Let go! Annabelle Linton is still in there!"

"Leona, don’t leave me!" Vivian Yates cried, her eyes flicking to a figure in the distance. A calculating look appeared in her eyes as she deliberately stalled for time.

She clung to him tightly, refusing to let go.

The Leona Grant outside the dream followed her gaze and saw Aaron Wyatt charging into the warehouse.

’What is he doing?’

’Is he going to save Annabelle Linton?!’

He panicked. ’This can’t happen! If Aaron Wyatt saves Annabelle Linton, I’ll have lost big time!’

He roared at his dream self, "Hurry up and save her, goddammit!"

Then he followed Aaron Wyatt.

The Leona Grant in the dream, seeing Vivian Yates clinging to him, irritably flung her to the ground. "Haven’t you caused enough trouble?! Annabelle Linton is still in there!"

He tried to run, but Vivian Yates grabbed him again, shouting through her tears, "I’m not causing trouble! Just let someone else go! You can’t go in there—it’s too dangerous!"

She had thought such a dramatic display would move him, but instead, his expression turned cold. "So I shouldn’t go just because it’s dangerous?"

Leona Grant glared at her, his face contorted with rage, and violently shook her off again. "Don’t you understand that she’s my responsibility?! One of you is my wife, and the other is a friend. Who do you think I should prioritize? I only saved you first because of your leg! She wasn’t scared even when she was in that dangerous place, yet here you are, safe and sound, still being so damn melodramatic!"

Vivian Yates had been kidnapped from the hospital. Her leg was broken after being hit by an electric scooter.

Annabelle Linton, on the other hand, had been abducted right after returning from a business trip abroad and knew nothing about Vivian’s injury.

That was why Leona Grant had carried her out earlier.
