Chapter 450: Chapter 450: You Can Only Take One

’What will I dream about this time?’

Leona Grant was looking at a photo of Annabelle Linton on his desk when he suddenly heard the screech of brakes outside.

Then came Annabelle Linton’s voice: "Leona, let me go! Let me go! It’s not what you think!"

The Leona Grant in the dream dragged her into the house. When Annabelle Linton refused to walk, he swept her up into his arms and threw her onto the bed.

Annabelle Linton struggled desperately. "Leona! Leona, listen to my explanation!"

RRRIP—

Annabelle Linton’s black dress was torn, revealing her fair, delicate skin. Leona Grant stripped her naked, then pressed his body down on hers.

"Annabelle Linton, when we got married, I told you I would never love you. But I never thought you’d be so shameless, so cheap! Did it feel good to cheat on me? Well, now it’s my turn to feel good, isn’t it?!"

"Leona! Leona—MMMPH!" A towel was stuffed into her mouth, silencing her completely.

The Leona Grant outside the dream watched it all unfold, his eyes filled with remorse.

He knew what this was. It was the time his company was in trouble, and Annabelle Linton had gone to beg for help on his behalf—the time he had mistaken her actions for promiscuity.

If only he had trusted her more back then, perhaps things never would have escalated to this point.

He whispered again, "Annabelle Linton, I’m sorry..."

As if on cue, every time Leona Grant whispered "I’m sorry," the dream would shift to the next scene.

Another flash of white light, and the scene changed again.

...

It was daytime again.

He didn’t know where he was, but the place was filthy and cluttered, like a warehouse.

He floated aimlessly, confused, until he suddenly saw his dream-self getting out of a car.

He followed.

Leona Grant got out of the car, walked straight into the warehouse, and another person appeared.

The person called out coldly, "Leona Grant."

The Leona Grant outside the dream looked over and immediately recognized the man. It was one of his enemies.

’I just don’t know why he’s here.’

"Where are they?" the dream-Leona asked coldly.

The enemy stood far away, grinning sinisterly at him. "They’re all inside. Go on in yourself!"

Hearing this, he went inside without a second thought.

Leona Grant followed as well.

Once inside, his eyes widened.

He saw Annabelle Linton and Vivian Yates tied to separate pillars, doused in gasoline.

"Annabelle Linton!" the Leona Grant outside the dream cried out in panic. He ran over to untie her ropes, but it was useless!

He looked at Annabelle Linton anxiously. ’What on earth is happening?!’

Leona Grant shook his head violently, trying to remember this event, but he couldn’t recall it at all.

’The previous scenes were all things I’ve experienced. So what is this?!’

’Could it be? Did Vivian Yates trick me and erase my memory again?’

’No, that can’t be right. She’s tied to a pillar, too!’

What Leona Grant didn’t know was that it wasn’t a matter of him not remembering. It was that he had never experienced this at all.

After the dream-Leona went inside, his expression darkened instantly at the sight of the two women.

"Leona!" Vivian Yates cried, tears immediately falling.

Leona Grant looked over at her.

Seeing this, Annabelle Linton obediently kept quiet and lowered her head.

Leona Grant glanced at her, a flicker of worry in his eyes that Annabelle Linton didn’t see.

Just then, the enemy’s voice rang out: "Leona Grant, today I’m going to make you taste the pain of losing someone you love. You can only save one of these two women. The other will be burned to death. Make your choice. Your time is limited!"
