Chapter 358: Chapter 356: In This Lifetime, It Has to Be You, Annabelle Linton

’Always yelling, always causing a scene, always starting with an interrogation. Who does he think he is?’

"It never ends."

Annabelle Linton frowned and coolly uttered the three words.

She leaned back on the sofa, her legs still crossed, her expression placid and utterly devoid of emotion.

Leona Grant, however, was pressing down on her, his hand still gripping her chin.

Annabelle Linton irritably slapped his hand away and shoved him forcefully with her other hand, snapping, "What do your feelings have to do with me? We’re divorced. Even if I were to sleep with and marry some other man, you wouldn’t have the right to say a single word. When will you ever stop?!"

"Sleep with and marry another man?"

Leona Grant’s anger flared to a new level. He couldn’t stop his voice from rising as he slammed his fist down. "In this life, I’m the only one who gets to fuck you and marry you! If anyone else dares to touch you, I’ll make sure they die without a grave!"

Annabelle Linton watched expressionlessly as his fist came down, not expecting it to graze right past her face and slam into the sofa.

She sneered.

’It really is never-ending. Never-ending!’

’This man... It was fine when I didn’t have to see him. But the moment I do, it’s nothing but threats and drama.’

’So annoying. I’m sick to death of it!’

She felt a wave of exhaustion. Frowning, she questioned him, "Leona Grant, the world is full of women. Can’t you find someone else to mess with, someone else to like? Will you just let me go?"

"No! In this life, it has to be you, Annabelle Linton!"

"You’re hopeless!"

"That’s right, I’m hopeless! If I can’t be with you in this life, then I’d rather refuse treatment!"

Leona Grant growled, and as soon as the words were out, he lowered his head and crushed his lips against hers.

But he didn’t realize that Annabelle Linton, who would normally have struggled, wasn’t fighting back at all. Her face was slowly growing pale, a look of pain clouding her features.

Leona Grant didn’t notice. All his pent-up longing for her was poured into that kiss.

As he kissed her, his hands moved of their own accord to grip her shoulders.

Suddenly, something wet and sticky soaked his palm.

His heart clenched. A terrible premonition washed over him as he let go of her and looked down at his hand.

A large smear of thick blood!

Then he looked back at Annabelle Linton.

Her brows were slightly furrowed and her gaze was lowered. Her face was pale, as if she were enduring some great pain.

As if remembering something, Leona Grant whipped his head to look at her shoulder. A shocking amount of blood was streaming down, impossible to ignore.

His rough movements moments ago had torn her wound open, and he hadn’t given her any chance to speak.

Moreover, his actions had only aggravated the injury caused by the man from before, so she was bleeding even more heavily.

Leona Grant’s expression changed dramatically. He quickly pulled her clothes aside to look, and seeing the blood flowing nonstop, he was filled with both anger and anguish. Without wasting a second, he got off of her and grabbed the first-aid kit to bandage the wound and stop the bleeding.

Seeing the blood that simply wouldn’t stop, he couldn’t help but curse, "Would it kill you to say something when you’re in pain?! You’re bleeding again! Annabelle Linton, you’re always like this!"

Annabelle Linton frowned in irritation, coolly brushing him aside. She stood up, picked up the dress he had brought with some difficulty, grabbed some gauze, and went into the bathroom.

Her personality was aloof; if she didn’t have to speak, she wouldn’t say a single word more than was necessary.

She would frown from the pain, but she would never let out so much as a groan, because she knew it was useless.

Leona Grant watched her cold, retreating back, then closed his eyes in frustration, suppressing his own anger.

’I hurt her again. I hurt her again!’

’I don’t understand. I don’t know why, but whenever we’re together, it always ends with me hurting her!’

’When she gets hurt, my heart aches more than anyone’s, but I’m always the one who hurts her!’

Leona Grant felt utterly helpless.

When it came to this woman, he was truly at a complete loss.
