Chapter 439: Chapter 439 - Balance(Part 7)
Satan fired out a barrage of Obliteration blasts at the white being, who weaved across the air to evade them, one of the blasts hitting him and blasting a hole through his stomach.
My eyes widened in surprise, as no blood or guts spilled out, all I could see was an abyss inside his body, before the hole closed up in an instant.
What the fuck was that?
Satan then took aim and unleashed a massive Obliteration beam at the being, who teleported away to avoid it, before charging towards Terrastra with immense speed.
She swiftly raised several earth spikes out towards him, he came to an abrupt halt as they closed in on him before suddenly teleporting behind her.
But she was quick to react, spinning across and whipping her tail towards him, which slammed against his side and sent him flying across to his right, as Ilex zipped up above him and fired out a massive barrage of Mana blasts, which peppered the being before Ilex unleashed a massive beam of Mana down towards him.
The beam collided against the being on the full and drove him down towards the ground at a blinding speed, a deafening crash ringing out as the beam slammed him onto the ground in the blink of an eye.
Deep cracks spread out across the ground as the surrounding area rumbled, a large crater forming in the wake of the attack.
As the beam petered out and faded, Izzy and Argent unleashed blazing waves of Dragon Fire down towards the figure, the flames engulfing him as he got back up and lifted his gaze towards them.
I flew closer and joined them, opening my mouth and blasting out a roaring wave of blue flames. Damn it, even Dragon Fire isn’t effective, how-...huh?
As my own flames mixed in and blazed down towards him, he frantically teleported out of the crater, some of the others launching their attacks at him as he reappeared.
What was that just now? He seemed unbothered and unaffected by Izzy and Argent’s flames, but rushed to get away when I joined in with mine...why is that?
Another thing, despite his immense speed and power, his movements are simplistic and easy to predict. If he had even the slightest level of skill in his movements and attacks, several of us would be dead already.
He then shot towards Lucifer, who unleashed a telekinetic shockwave to blow him away, before he changed targets and zipped towards Ilex.
I swiftly turned my right arm to slime and extended it out towards him as Ilex unloaded a volley of Mana blasts at him, but he didn’t slow down, letting the blasts hit him.
Ilex quickly flew back as the being began to close in on him, before the being came to an abrupt halt as my slime reached him and wrapped around his left foot, spreading up in the form of tendrils and constricting around his leg tightly to hold him in place.
As Ilex flew off to a safe distance, I unleashed my Soul Weapon Ascension and sent my whips extending out towards the being with immense speed, before cracking them inwards with sharp flicks, slamming them against his sides as loud smacks rang out upon impact.
He then wrenched his foot free of the grasp of my slime and teleported away, turning his attention to Pavorphobus and flying towards her with immense speed.
She fired off a piercing beam of Negative Energy towards him as Satan unleashed a swirling blast of Obliteration at him from behind, he let both attacks hit him, starting to reach out towards Pavorphobus as he closed in on her.
She began to fly back, before her eyes widened in alarm as he suddenly teleported, reappearing behind her and driving his hand towards her back.
Right as his fingertips began to pierce through her skin, a powerful burst of wind struck his left side and blasted him away to his right, before I shot towards him and unleashed a rapid bolt of lightning at him.
He quickly teleported out of the way as my attack closed in on him, before Lucifer zipped up above him and slammed him with a telekinetic blast, sending him hurtling down towards the ground, a barrage of Obliteration blasts shooting down after him with immense speed.
The blasts peppered him as he crashed onto the ground, tearing several holes through his body, but they immediately closed up as he got back onto his feet.
He then teleported away as I fired out a blast of lightning down towards him, reappearing several meters away in the air.
He’s getting stronger...the longer this fight goes on for, the sharper his movements get. He’s reacting faster, and his attacks aren’t as straightforward and easy to read as they were before...his attack against Pavorphobus made that much clear.
But that’s not all...there’s no doubt about it, the others’ attacks aren’t having any effect on him. If even Satan’s Obliteration can’t inflict any real damage, nothing can.
Obliteration and attacks from Soul Weapons appear to damage him at first glance, but the way he recovers in an instant from the seeming damage, it looks like that damage is inconsequential.
But there’s an exception...my attacks. They’re the only ones he actively tries to avoid, and though it seemed like he was initially targeting me primarily, he’s now keeping his distance from me.
I’m not sure why, but my attacks are the only ones that can actually damage him. In which case...
