Chapter 429: Chapter 429 - Counterattack(Part 14)

"Soul Weapon Ascension: Justice Shards, Twentyfold!" I exclaimed, before sending my ten dozen blades shooting out as several Lesser Vampires surrounded me.
Roars of pain rang out all around me as my blades tore them apart to pieces, a rapidly glowing pile of limbs and body parts forming around me.
I then turned my gaze up and sprang back as a couple of Lesser Vampires came swooping down towards me, evading as they slashed their claws at me as they closed in.
One of them then leapt straight towards me as it landed, before I sent several of my blades zipping in towards it, slicing off its limbs before cutting through its neck and decapitating it.
The other one then flew up, letting out a vicious snarl before it shot down towards me rapidly, before cutting sliced clean in half vertically as I swiftly moved one of my blades right in front of it, the Vampire flying straight into it, the middle of its head getting split apart, followed by the rest of its body.
I then let out a slow exhale and looked around as I finished cutting down the Lesser Vampires in my vicinity...it’s still frustrating that I’m not strong enough to even assist in the battles against the Elder Vampires, but I can’t afford to dwell on that.
I need to focus on contributing however I can out here...the Lesser Vampires may be significantly less of a threat, but with their sheer numbers, they could easily overwhelm the weaker members of our army.
To minimize our casualties, I need to push past my limits and kill more than my fair share of the creatures. As for the regular Vampires, I’ve hardly seen any, it’s been mostly Lesser Vampires.
Alright, I should keep moving, I may have cleared this area of the enemy, but there are still scores more to deal with. I need to-...hm?
I then glanced up as I spotted a pair of figures flying towards, narrowing my eyes at them...those are Vampires, not Lesser Vampires, guess I spoke a bit too soon. I need to keep my guard up, they’re much stronger than Lesser Vampires are.
The pair of Vampires then swooped down, landing on either side of me, briefly surveying the damage I’d caused to their forces before locking their attention onto me.
"It seems this human is reasonably strong."
"Yes, she’s wiped out a large number of the Lessers. Let’s eliminate her before-..."
I cut him off by sending several of my blades shooting towards him, the Vampire’s eyes widening in alarm before he quickly spread out his wings and flew up, grimacing as a few of my blades pierced into his legs and got lodged in.
I then spun them across with immense force, blood spraying out and splattering across the ground as I sliced his legs to pieces, before I swiftly gathered a couple of blades in front of myself defensively as the other one fired out a powerful, pressurized blast of blood.
As the blast slammed onto my blades, which absorbed the force of the impact, I parted the blades and shot straight towards him, while keeping the other one occupied by having several blades chase after him.
The one I shot towards then began to back away, before I used Distance Casting to shoot a fireball towards him from behind, a startled cry of pain ringing out as the flames slammed onto his back, searing his skin as a sickening crackle echoed out, wisps of smoke billowing out from his back.
"D-damn, you...!" He exclaimed as he began to charge up violently swirling masses of blood in each hand.
But he’d clearly lost his composure, giving me several openings...right as he began to take aim, his eyes widened in alarm as I sliced off his arms with a couple of my blades, before charging up lightning in my hand and starting to take aim at the middle of his torso.
His attention got focused onto my Spell, getting ready to evade it, before he suddenly let out a sharp gasp, a shudder of pain erupting across his body...as I pierced through the middle of his torso with a blade from behind.
A cracking noise echoed out from inside his body, my blade presumably having pierced his core, before I violently twisted the blade, shattering his core and killing him.
As he went limp and collapsed onto his knees before falling over, I quickly spun around as I sensed the other one zipping down towards me, meeting his gaze as he closed in on me with an enraged look on his face, his body covered in deep gashes that were steadily healing up.
He whipped his claws across at my chest as I quickly leapt off to my left, grimacing as his claws sliced across the side of my right arm, blood streaming out before I crossed my arms in front of myself as fast as I could as he fired out a rapid blast of blood at me.
I gritted my teeth with a wince of pain as the blast slammed onto my arms and sent me flying back, my back hitting the ground and skidding across painfully, before I lifted my gaze with a pained grimace as he shot towards me, charging up another blood attack.
As he closed in on me, I unleashed a burst of flames from right below him, a yelp of pain ringing out as the blast launched him up into the air and disoriented him, before his eyes widened in alarm as I swiftly surrounded him with a couple dozen blades.
He began to fly away frantically, but it was too late, as I sent all the blades converging in towards him simultaneously with as much speed as I could generate, skewering his torso from several directions and shattering his core before he could react.
As he went limp and began to plummet, I slowly sat up with a pained grunt, before taking out a Healing Magic Item and activating it, letting out a sigh of relief as the pain from the damage he’d inflicted faded.
I should’ve handled that better, but I suppose it all worked out in the end...but I don’t have time to rest, I need to keep going. This battle isn’t over yet...
