Chapter 92: Two Months...

Caelum and Bonjour eventually returned from the Headmaster’s office.

Surprisingly, the meeting had gone both smoothly and quickly.

The old man had merely asked them several questions, looked increasingly shocked as the story progressed, became furious midway for some unknown reason, and then ultimately sent them away without much trouble.

The two boys remained completely oblivious to the fact that the Headmaster had secretly dispatched several Saints to investigate the regions surrounding the Forbidden Zone of Old Ice.

At this point, the old man could only pray those Saints did not recklessly enter that place themselves.

Because returning alive from there definitely was not easy.

As the two walked through the school grounds, Caelum noticed two familiar figures standing near the library entrance.

"Oh! Hey, Anastasia! Loreal!" he called out casually.

The two girls turned toward him immediately.

"You two finally returned?" Anastasia asked while looking visibly surprised.

Meanwhile, Loreal simply nodded quietly from the side.

Her attitude toward Caelum had noticeably improved ever since the incident inside the dungeon.

"Well, we only just arrived recently," Caelum replied casually.

"But what are you two doing here?"

"Studying," Loreal answered immediately as if the answer should have been obvious.

Just then, Bonjour leaned closer toward Caelum and whispered something into his ear before suddenly waving goodbye to them.

Apparently, a wild "nature’s call" had arrived.

Caelum silently watched the barbarian sprint away.

At that moment, Loreal narrowed her eyes slightly.

"Why was he smiling so strangely?" she asked suspiciously.

She instinctively felt as though she had missed something important.

"Anyways, let’s talk inside the library." Caelum said remembering something.

"Oh right, I also need to create my library card first."

Thus, the three entered the massive academy library together.

The moment they approached the counter, Caelum politely spoke toward the librarian.

"Ma’am, I would like to create a library card."

The librarian requested his school badge, and within only a few minutes, Caelum officially received his own library access card.

Afterward, the trio wandered deeper into the enormous library before finding several empty seats near a quieter section.

Soon, casual conversation began.

Loreal surprisingly asked numerous questions regarding Paul.

After some time, Caelum realized she was actually interested in Paul’s summon, the Panda Jojo.

Meanwhile, Loreal herself gradually began noticing something strange whenever Anastasia and Caelum talked together.

The two somehow managed to continue speaking endlessly about completely random topics without running out of things to discuss.

She naturally did not know that this was almost identical to the way they chatted privately through their Private Badges.

Soon, Caelum looked toward Anastasia curiously.

"Can you show me your summons then?"

"Alright," Anastasia nodded lightly.

Just as she prepared to summon her chicken and the Phoenix, a stern voice echoed above them.

"Summons are not allowed inside the library, understood?"

The three immediately looked upward in surprise.

The librarian had somehow appeared directly above them silently.

Both Anastasia and Caelum became visibly startled.

Caelum then looked more carefully as his eyes shone.

’An illusion?’ he realized.

The figure before them was not the librarian’s real body.

Both he and Anastasia obediently nodded afterward.

Loreal gave Caelum a look that clearly said: ’You idiot.’

"Loreal, do you genuinely think I’m an idiot?" he asked while smiling slightly.

"Is it that obvious?" Loreal replied instantly without even bothering to look toward him.

Caelum’s smile turned evil.

"Then wouldn’t that make your Princess an idiot too?"

He pointed toward Anastasia casually.

"After all, she agreed with me."

"What?! N-No!" Loreal immediately panicked at the sudden counterattack.

"How could that possibly be?! The Princess is exceptional! She only agreed because you asked her!" she said pointing accusingly toward Caelum.

THUD!

A book directly struck Caelum on the head.

"Ouch!"

"Shut up," Anastasia said calmly while retrieving the book she had thrown at him.

It was apparently a book regarding advanced fire magic.

Although she outwardly maintained composure, Anastasia had definitely been slightly stunned after indirectly being called an idiot.

At this point, she truly felt she needed to properly display her authority as a Princess, after all Caelum was taking her too casually.

Caelum suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to tease Anastasia even further after seeing her reaction.

However, he restrained himself.

He had come to the library to study.

Not to bully the Princess emotionally.

Some time passed peacefully afterward.

Eventually, Caelum became bored of reading and simply began staring toward Anastasia absentmindedly.

"Hey," he asked.

"Do you remember when we first met?"

Anastasia’s face became slightly red, almost matching the color of her hair.

She immediately remembered that scene vividly.

Then she looked toward Caelum with slight resentment.

Was he deliberately reminding her about the time he slapped her before they somehow became friends afterward?

At this point, she truly felt she needed to assert her authority immediately.

But before she could respond, Loreal suddenly grabbed Anastasia’s hand firmly.

"I just remembered something extremely important!"

Then she immediately began dragging Anastasia away.

"Let’s go, Princess!"

At this moment, Loreal firmly believed the atmosphere had become strange.

As Anastasia’s loyal shadow, she naturally needed to protect the Princess from emotional threats.

After thoroughly reading B.O.M.B, she had learned one important truth, never allow someone else to control the pace emotionally.

Because Caelum was their friend and also the one who previously saved Anastasia’s life, Loreal found it difficult to directly tell him to stop talking to the Princess.

Especially because, the Princess herself clearly enjoyed speaking with him.

And on top of that, the other party was the son of the Immortal Count.

"Wait, Loreal! Today we will decide who’s superior to whom..." Anastasia protested while being dragged away unwillingly.

Unfortunately for her, Loreal gave her absolutely no choice.

Caelum silently watched them disappear before sighing dramatically.

’Damn! She’s such a bad friend.’

Mentally awarding Loreal the title of "Bad Friend," Caelum eventually left the library himself.

He genuinely only wanted to ask Anastasia whether she was still suffering from those headaches.

He absolutely did not possess any ulterior motives.

Soon afterward, he returned toward his dormitory room.

Inside, the boys were once again gathered around while loudly playing board games.

The moment Caelum entered, everyone gave him extremely strange looks which he completely ignored.

Then he calmly sat down and joined the next match.

This was how carefree children should truly live.

Playing games.

Laughing loudly.

And not worrying even if meteors randomly fell from the sky.

However, a truly strange event soon occurred.

Or perhaps, considering this school, it was not strange at all.

Without any major new incident occurring throughout the school...

Two entire months somehow passed by in the blink of an eye.
