Chapter 117: Future Sight...?

A terrifying slash struck both knights.

One of them was cut cleanly in half horizontally, while the other was blasted backward and slammed heavily against the door behind him.

"Eh?"

Jojo blinked in confusion.

Caelum had originally claimed he could only handle one knight.

Yet judging by the attack he had just unleashed, that statement was clearly questionable.

Looking at Caelum’s slightly dark expression, Jojo could only assume that something had triggered him.

"Attack!" he shouted, unwilling to waste time thinking about it.

The knight that had been cut in half suddenly released black smoke from the severed sections of his body.

The two halves rapidly reattached themselves.

Meanwhile, Jojo and Bonjour immediately engaged him.

On the other side, Caelum slowly pointed his sword at the remaining knight.

"Do you understand the majesty of this Young Master now?!" he asked.

The knight stood up from the shattered door and looked at him with fury.

"Shut up! How dare you launch a sneak attack!"

His Aura exploded outward as the knight vanished from his position.

A footwork technique created multiple afterimages as he simultaneously unleashed a sword art.

Three attacks arrived at once.

One felt heavy, one felt soft and flowing and the final one carried a strange mental pressure.

All three sword strikes converged on Caelum from different directions.

Caelum’s eyes narrowed as he moved his sword.

The motion looked bizarre simple yet impossible to understand.

Clang!

With a single strike, he deflected all three attacks simultaneously.

The knight froze.

"Impossible! How can you do that?!"

His voice rose in disbelief seeing the fake Young Master block his strike with ease.

Caelum’s eye twitched.

For some reason, he felt that the ghost was definitely thinking something insulting about him.

Without another word, he charged forward as the two immediately exchanged multiple clashes.

Sword Qi and Aura collided repeatedly as sparks erupted everywhere.

Meanwhile, the others were performing surprisingly well.

Bonjour’s fist smashed into the second knight’s greatsword.

Although he was pushed back several steps, the knight was also forced backward.

Skyler’s divine power coated everyone like a blessing, greatly increasing their effectiveness.

Taking advantage of an opening, Jojo suddenly grabbed the knight’s leg.

Then, using pure physical strength, he lifted the armored giant and slammed him into the ground.

Boom!

The entire floor shook.

The knight groaned lowering his helmet.

Countless spectral ghosts suddenly burst from within the armor and rushed toward everyone.

However, a brilliant wave of divine power erupted from Skyler.

The ghosts immediately screamed before being dispersed.

Against this particular knight, Skyler’s abilities were proving extremely effective.

Ryan also seized the opportunity.

The old sword spirit continued guiding him.

’Listen, Ryan. There are times when you must look beyond your fears just to realize that nothing was standing in front of you in the first place...’

Before the old man could finish his mysterious speech, Ryan acted.

Using his sword like a spear, he hurled it directly toward the knight’s open helmet.

KAAYAGGAA—!

A horrifying sound escaped the knight.

An unknown power immediately invaded his head, causing the knight to stagger.

At the same time, Sénior finally completed his spell, clasping his hands together.

A massive projection of those same hands appeared above the knight.

Then it slammed downward.

Boom!

The knight was crushed into the ground once more.

At the rear, Voomie and Paul were enthusiastically cheering.

Paul’s glasses flashed repeatedly as they analyzed the battlefield.

"Hit the left side!"

"The left again!"

"His balance is off!"

Paul pointed from the back like a coach without joining them.

After all, coaches didn’t play.

They gave advice.

And somehow, despite facing an opponent who should have been capable of defeating all of them with ease, the knight was being thoroughly overwhelmed.

Compatibility truly was a terrifying thing.

***

The Ghost Knight’s eyes trembled as he looked at Caelum.

For the first time since the battle began, he felt as though he was facing a monster rather than a child.

The opponent looked young.

Yet none of his actions resembled those of a child.

’He hasn’t even used magic until now...’ the Ghost Knight thought.

After exchanging blows for so long, he had already realized that Caelum was walking the dual path.

Both swordsmanship and magic.

’This kid isn’t human...’

The Ghost Knight was once again forced backward.

His expression grew increasingly ugly within his helmet, because he noticed something horrifying.

Caelum was trying to imitate his Three Deadly Ghost Strike.

At first, he thought it was a coincidence.

Then he realized it wasn’t.

The boy was genuinely learning his swordsmanship during the battle.

This was a sword art he had painstakingly developed throughout his death.

One that he had refined through countless battles.

There was no way he wouldn’t be furious.

If Caelum had gained a little enlightenment during their fight, that would have been understandable.

However, the other party was blatantly stealing his swordsmanship.

And doing so with terrifying perfection.

Smoke practically began rising from the Ghost Knight’s helmet.

"I will kill you!" he roared as his Aura exploded outward.

The surrounding air trembled.

Caelum’s expression became slightly serious.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed that the others had already defeated the second knight.

That meant this battle could finally end.

The Ghost Knight suddenly stopped moving as he lowered his stance.

Then he slammed his greatsword into the ground.

Boom!

The Aura around him fluctuated wildly.

It was obvious he was preparing his strongest attack.

However, the Ghost Knight’s expression immediately stiffened.

Because Caelum copied his stance.

Exactly the same posture, the same grip, the same positioning and the same Aura flow.

For a moment, the Ghost Knight felt his dead heart beat.

Then rage consumed him as the two unleashed their attacks simultaneously.

"Three Deadly Ghost Strike."

The Ghost Knight roared.

Meanwhile, Caelum’s eyes gained a strange dreamy hue, then he spoke calmly.

"[Burying the Living and Dead]."

The Ghost Knight froze.

That... that was his ultimate move.

The ultimate move of his swordsmanship.

’How?’

Before he could comprehend what had happened, Sword Qi erupted from the ground beneath him.

Boom!

Countless blades surged upward.

The Ghost Knight was instantly swallowed by the attack.

His shocked expression remained frozen beneath his helmet as the storm of Sword Qi engulfed him completely.
