Chapter 118: Familiar Sleeping Beauty And Something Shocking

Jojo gave Caelum a nasty look as the group gathered in front of the door once again.

After what had happened with the knights, he felt that Caelum was hiding far more strength than he admitted.

"Does anyone need to rest?" Jojo asked, looking around at the children.

Despite everything they had gone through, nobody appeared willing to stop.

Seeing their determined expressions, he simply shook his head.

"Let’s go."

The group immediately formed their original formation and entered the guarded room.

Cre-cre-cre-cre-creeeeak—!

The door slowly opened.

The sound it produced was so unpleasant that it felt like nails scraping directly against their brains.

Skyler immediately bit his own lip from the sudden shock.

"Kyaaa!" He yelped in pain.

Everyone paused and looked at him.

"..."

Then they silently continued forward as if nothing had happened.

The room itself was surprisingly quiet.

There were no ghosts here.

Only a luxurious master bed positioned at the center of the room.

The bed was enclosed within a large glass case.

Caelum stared at it for a moment.

’Is there some kind of Grave and Glass (GG) party taking place in this mansion?’ he thought.

At this point, almost everything important seemed to be hidden behind glass or grave.

Or perhaps ghosts simply loved them.

On the left side of the room sat an E-Boy.

The familiar living bird possessed a faint green hue in its eyes and was silently staring at whatever lay inside the glass enclosure.

"An E-Boy..." Ryan muttered.

He hadn’t expected to encounter a normal creature here.

Up until now, he had assumed they would only meet ghosts and other supernatural beings inside this Drifting Dimension.

As the group cautiously approached the bed, trying to see what was inside.

Crack!

A crack suddenly spread across the glass as everyone froze.

Crash!

The entire glass enclosure shattered and multiple tiny fragments burst outward.

Caelum immediately released his Aura.

The surrounding air shimmered as he deflected the incoming shards away from the group.

The glass fragments scattered harmlessly around them.

Only after confirming nobody was injured did they look toward the bed.

There, lying peacefully upon it, was a sleeping beauty.

The room suddenly became silent but Caelum’s eyes widened.

He recognized her immediately.

It was the same girl who had called him Young Master and warned him about the Earth Titan.

"She looks human, should we wake her up?" Paul suggested.

"No." Jojo immediately shook his head.

"What appears harmless on the outside and what is inside can be complet-"

He abruptly stopped speaking.

The sleeping beauty suddenly sat upright.

She rose in a stiff undertaker like motion as her bloodshot eyes snapped open and stared directly at them.

"..."

"Kyaaaaaaa-!"

Paul and Skyler screamed simultaneously.

However, before anyone could attack, the girl slowly raised her hand.

Boom!

A tremendous pressure descended upon the room and everyone immediately felt their bodies become heavier.

Even breathing became difficult.

’Master Stage...’ Caelum’s expression changed.

’An Early Master Stage powerhouse!’

What alarmed him most wasn’t her strength.

It was the fact that he had sensed absolutely nothing from her until now.

The girl calmly observed everyone before her gaze settled on Caelum.

[You have arrived...]

Her voice echoed directly within their minds.

The strange manner of speaking only made the atmosphere more unsettling.

Caelum remained silent for a moment before asking the question that had been bothering him ever since the start.

"...How many times?"

"What do you mean?" Jojo asked, unable to understand the question.

However, the girl’s expression shifted slightly as she looked at Caelum deeply.

Then she answered.

[...Your intuition is as sharp as ever. This is the third time.]

The room instantly became silent.

Everyone looked between the two of them.

The conversation was making less and less sense.

Unable to endure it any longer, Jojo stepped forward.

"Hey, can you speak in terms that we can underst—"

He suddenly stopped as the girl pointed toward him and a beam of light shot from her fingertip.

Before anyone could react, it struck Jojo’s forehead.

[Though useful, this panda is always noisy.]

The girl sounded almost annoyed.

[As for the rest, I hardly remember anything. Aside from your name as Young Master, I sent most of my memories to my future self directly.]

She spoke as if that was completely normal.

Meanwhile, Jojo stood frozen.

The moment the light entered his mind, countless fragmented memories surfaced.

Conversations, deaths, attempts, failures.

His expression immediately became grave.

"...Time reset."

The others stared at him.

"What?"

"Time reset?"

Jojo slowly raised his head muttering to himself.

"It wasn’t our first attempt."

The memories continued flooding his mind, forming a terrifying truth.

When he finally understood what had happened, even he felt a chill.

Turns out, this wasn’t the first time they had entered this place.

Nor was it the second.

This was already their third attempt.

**

"There must be a reason you’re returning these memories to me, you can help us, can’t you?"

Jojo looked at the mysterious girl with a grave expression.

At the same time, another thought surfaced in his mind.

Was Caelum some kind of apostle of a god?

Otherwise, how could he have sensed that something was wrong even after their memories had been erased?

’Is that why he was acting strangely from the very beginning?’ Jojo wondered.

He didn’t want to remember what had happened during their first attempt.

The Earth Titan...

Just recalling that existence made him uncomfortable but what had happened then made him more shocked.

Shaking his head, he focused on the girl again.

Thinking back, it wasn’t a coincidence that they had found this place much faster than before.

As a former powerful being, Jojo’s intuition was exceptionally sharp.

Even when his memories had been erased, he always felt an inexplicable sense of danger whenever they approached unfamiliar paths.

That instinct had repeatedly pushed him toward the correct choices.

Then his gaze shifted toward Voomie.

The fat dog was currently sitting proudly beside Lady on the bed.

Each time the forest had changed, the direction leading here had changed as well.

Yet every single time, Voomie had pointed toward the correct route.

’No wonder those Chihuchi are so feared...’ Jojo thought.

Their instincts were practically cheating.

"Why are you thinking so deeply? Is this some kind of backla-"

Before he could finish something interrupted him.

Creeeak—

The door slowly opened and a familiar figure stood there.

White wedding dress with bloodstains.

Covered eyes and a smile full of sharp teeth.

The Ghost Bride had returned.

"KYAHAHAHA! MY HUSBAND!"

"NOOOOO!" Skyler screamed.

The Saint immediately experienced emotional damage and PTSD at the same time.

Without hesitation, he retreated several steps.

The Ghost Bride’s smile widened even further.

Apparently, being frozen for an hour had done absolutely nothing to discourage her.
