Chapter 116: Losing Face!

The countless mirrors reflected the surrounding light.

At the same time, the Ghost Bride’s body dissolved into light as well.

She transformed into a streak of white radiance and shot toward Skyler.

Her speed was terrifying.

In an instant, she was already about to catch up to her fleeing groom.

However, another streak of light intercepted her.

Boom!

The two collided and crashed into the golden grave.

"I can’t let you do that," Caelum said.

The Ghost Bride slowly looked at him as the cloth covering her eyes darkened.

Her mouth stretched unnaturally wide as countless sharp teeth became visible.

Without warning, she lunged forward.

Crunch!

She swallowed Caelum’s head.

However, her expression immediately changed as something felt wrong.

Instead of flesh and blood, all she felt was water.

Splash!

Caelum’s body dissolved into water as well.

At the same time, multiple Caelums suddenly appeared around her.

One after another, they crashed into her before bursting apart into water.

’Her strength is roughly at the Late Expert Stage...’ Caelum thought.

The real Caelum stood several meters away.

The technique he had used was [Water Clone Art].

Now that the Ghost Bride’s body was soaked, he immediately acted.

"[Freezing Touch]."

The water covering her body rapidly froze.

Ice spread across her dress, arms, and face.

Within moments, the Ghost Bride had become a frozen statue.

The crystal needles attacking Bonjour and Sénior immediately lost their momentum and fell to the ground.

The mirrors surrounding the area also dimmed.

Caelum let out a small breath.

Both [Water Clone Art] and [Freezing Touch] had already reached the stage of perfection.

For some reason, mastering water techniques had been surprisingly easy for him.

Soon, Jojo and the others arrived.

When they saw the frozen Ghost Bride, several of them were visibly surprised.

Even Sénior looked somewhat shocked.

Only Bonjour appeared unfazed.

"Destroy those mirrors!" Jojo immediately said.

He could still sense traces of the Ghost Bride’s energy within them.

The group quickly began smashing every mirror they could find.

After some time, only the frozen Ghost Bride remained.

Several of them still looked nervous while staring at her.

"Whose idea was it to come here..." Paul muttered under his breath. The moment Caelum heard that, he immediately coughed.

"Freezing her wasn’t a bad decision," Jojo said while observing the statue.

He still didn’t know whether the Ghost Bride possessed some form of resurrection ability.

Sealing her was much safer than attempting to kill her outright.

The threat hadn’t completely disappeared, but it was manageable for now.

And their highest priority remained their own survival.

"Let’s move," Caelum said.

He reinforced the ice one final time with his Qi.

’This should last about an hour,’ he estimated.

That would hopefully be enough.

Afterward, the group chose a random door and continued deeper into the house.

The group had also encountered a Ghost Groom along the way.

Much like the Ghost Bride, they eventually managed to seal him using Caelum’s ice techniques before moving on.

After that, they deliberately avoided several suspicious rooms, as Jojo suspected many of them were Closed Loop Spaces similar to the one they had escaped earlier.

Even though he had been terrified during the encounter, Skyler still wanted to take some of the gold from the grave with him.

Fortunately, Jojo stopped him.

According to him, objects connected to powerful entities could be used to track their location through special methods.

During their exploration, they also learned more about the rules governing this Closed World Drifting Dimension.

The strongest existence that could appear inside was generally limited to one major level above the participants, or whatever limit the world itself imposed.

Just then, they arrived before a large wooden door that resembled the entrance to a master’s chamber.

Standing before it were two suits of knight armor.

Green lights suddenly ignited beneath their helmets.

Aura surged around their bodies as they raised their massive greatswords.

"None shall trespass upon the Young Lady’s room!"

The two knights spoke in unison.

Their Aura pressed heavily against the surroundings, yet neither made a move.

’Peak Experts...’ Caelum thought.

"This is a key!" Jojo suddenly exclaimed.

"Are you sure?" Bonjour asked.

A key was essentially a clue required to clear a Drifting Dimension.

Jojo’s expression became serious.

"We need to enter that room no matter the cost, only then can we find a way out of this place."

His gaze remained fixed on the door.

Everyone’s expressions grew tense but Bonjour revealed a dangerous grin.

Two Peak Expert knights would normally be impossible for a group of children to defeat.

However... they had a cultivator, two barbarians, a saint, a boy with grandpa in sword, a lucky yet unlucky fat dog, a powerful talking panda, and a Paul.

This... this was doable.

Caelum narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.

"I can handle one knight..."

"Then it is possible," Jojo replied without hesitation.

Although he had yet to fully recover his strength, with two barbarians assisting him, defeating the second knight wasn’t impossible.

Caelum suddenly raised his hand, signaling everyone to stop.

Since the knights could speak, he wanted to test something first.

Stepping forward, he puffed out his chest.

"How dare you block my path!"

His Aura erupted outward.

"I am a Young Master, and I immediately demand an audience with the Young Lady!"

The others instantly facepalmed, even Jojo looked away.

The two knights paused.

For a brief moment, they silently observed him as green eyes flickered.

Then they looked at each other.

A moment later, both erupted with fury.

"How dare you impersonate a Young Master! You shall die!"

The two knights roared simultaneously as their Auras surged and they prepared to attack him.

Caelum’s expression darkened.

These ghosts had just attacked his status as a Young Master.

As a cultivator, this was a matter of face.

And no respectable noble could allow some random ghost to deny his identity as a Young Master.

His eyes gleamed dangerously.

For some reason, both knights felt an inexplicable chill run through their bodies.

Caelum slowly raised his sword as Blue Sword Qi gathered on his sword.
