Chapter 110: Someone Who Knows...

"Everyone! Swim to the shore!" Caelum shouted while carrying both Paul and Skyler.

"Damn it! My dog instincts were right!" Voomie yelled as she desperately climbed onto Jojo for support.

The others immediately began swimming as well.

Fortunately, none of them were too far from land.

After a few minutes of frantic paddling, everyone finally arrived at the shore of the strange water body.

Only then did they have the opportunity to process what had happened.

Caelum replayed the events in his mind.

First, they had been sucked into a dark portal.

Then it felt as though gravity itself had reversed as the world spun around them.

And before they could even understand what was happening, they found themselves into another body of water.

’Why is my luck so bad today?’ Caelum thought.

The reason was simple.

The water they had fallen into was not water at all.

It was blood.

A vast lake of blood.

In fact, they had been swimming through blood the entire time before reaching the shore.

And from what they could see, the shoreline itself resembled the edge of a massive cliff overlooking the crimson lake below.

"AHHH! Blood! Blood! There is blood everywhere!" Paul yelled in panic.

Only now did the others properly notice their surroundings.

Everyone’s expressions immediately turned pale.

The metallic scent lingering in the air only made things worse.

"Can we contact our teachers?" Skyler asked in a grave tone.

Even he looked uneasy now.

Ryan wore a similarly shocked expression.

Apparently, the old man inside his sword had said something that left him deeply disturbed.

Meanwhile, Bonjour and Sénior simply released their Arder.

The reddish filth covering their bodies evaporated almost instantly.

"I don’t think that’s possible," Sénior said while observing the surroundings.

"Paul, why don’t you use [Clean] on everyone first?" Caelum suggested, trying to calm the situation.

"We’re standing near a lake of blood!" Paul shouted.

His anxiety had practically reached the sky.

"I know, that’s why everyone should be cleaned first." Caelum nodded.

"Besides, I know you sometimes skip bathing and use [Clean] on yourself instead."

"..."

A strange silence immediately descended.

Everyone slowly turned toward Paul giving him a look.

Paul’s face instantly reddened.

"WHAT NONSENSE!" He nearly jumped.

"Magic exists to reduce human effort! This is simply efficient living!"

Nobody looked convinced.

Feeling embarrassed, Paul quickly raised his hand and a small magic circle appeared above his palm.

"[Clean]."

A cool wave of mana surrounded him before washing over his body.

The blood stains vanished instantly.

Afterward, he repeated the spell on everyone else.

One by one, the sticky crimson residue disappeared.

Several minutes later, the entire group looked presentable once more.

"My mana pool is already half gone!" Paul complained.

"At least make an effort when lying, you are already a Second Circle Mage." Skyler replied.

Paul pretended not to hear him.

Meanwhile, Voomie turned toward Jojo.

"Jojo, you know something about this place, right? Woof!"

The others immediately looked toward the panda as well.

Out of everyone present, Jojo’s expression was by far the worst.

Because unlike the others, he actually understood how troublesome this situation was.

The panda let out a long sigh.

"I think we have been cursed by bad luck and ended up inside a Drifting Dimension."

The atmosphere instantly grew heavier.

’I need to make sure at least my master survives,’ Jojo thought.

His contract with Paul wasn’t an ordinary one.

If Paul died, he would suffer severe consequences as well.

Stepping forward, Jojo stood upright.

For the first time, the usually comedic panda looked genuinely imposing.

A faint pressure spread from his body.

The children unconsciously straightened.

"Listen carefully., I won’t be joking anymore."

His tone became serious.

"Because we are currently in a very dangerous situation and I’ll take responsibility for getting all of you out of here, but first, we need to determine what kind of Drifting Dimension this is."

Jojo pointed toward the sky.

"There are many types of Drifting Dimensions, but the two most common are Closed World Types and Trial Types."

As he spoke, his eyes drifted upward.

The sky above carried a faint green tint.

Seeing it only worsened his mood.

’Please don’t be what I think it is...’

Unfortunately, his instincts rarely failed him.

The others were also beginning to notice how strange their surroundings were.

The air felt different.

The sky looked unnatural.

And there wasn’t a single sign of life nearby.

Then, before anyone could continue the discussion a voice suddenly echoed upward from below the cliff.

"Young Master!"

Everyone immediately froze.

"Young Master! Are you there?!"

The group exchanged looks.

There was someone else in this place.

And judging from the voice, that person seemed to be searching for someone.

"Wait a minute, let me check," Caelum said as his eyes began to shine faintly.

’So he really does possess special eyes...’ Jojo thought.

The panda had already suspected as much for a while now.

Caelum’s ability to observe things others couldn’t wasn’t exactly subtle.

Activating [Heaven Reading Eyes], Caelum focused on the direction from which the voice had come.

The greenish fog obstructing their vision began to lose its effect under his gaze.

Then the voice sounded again.

"Young Master! Have you finally arrived? You need to come down immediately!"

Caelum narrowed his eyes.

Slowly, the source of the voice came into view.

It was a girl.

Or at least, something that looked like a girl.

The reason he described her as human-like rather than human was simple.

She was actually floating in midair as naturally as a person would stand.

The moment Caelum saw her, the girl also turned in his direction.

Then she waved at him cheerfully, as though she had been waiting specifically for him.

’What? Did she just wave at me?’ Caelum blinked in confusion.

His brows furrowed.

The others immediately noticed his strange expression.

"What do you see?" Ryan asked.

"Is someone there?" Skyler added.

Caelum didn’t answer immediately.

Instead, he continued staring at the floating girl.

Then the girl’s lips moved.

At this distance, no sound should have reached him.

Yet through the enhanced perception of his eyes, he could clearly read the movement of her mouth.

’Young... Mas... ter... Cael... um...’

For a moment, Caelum thought he had misread it.

Then the girl smiled brightly and waved again confirming his suspicion.

His expression immediately hardened.

A cold feeling crawled up his spine.

’How does she know my name?’

The question echoed inside his mind.

He was absolutely certain he had never seen her before.

Yet somehow, a mysterious floating girl inside a Drifting Dimension knew exactly who he was.

And judging by her expression.

She had been expecting him.
