Soon, night passed quietly and morning arrived.

The first thing Jayden did after waking up was bow deeply toward Amara.

"I am sorry for attacking our savior without any reason!"

After speaking with his adoptive parents, he had finally learned the entire truth.

He no longer believed Amara was connected to the border guards.

Nor did he believe she intended to take him or his sister away.

Jayden had known the couple for as long as he could remember.

The woman suddenly stepped forward.

She placed a small pendant into Amara’s hand.

The pendant was silver and bore the symbol of a half moon.

"It’s my lucky charm and please don’t refuse this time."

Amara looked at the pendant briefly before nodding.

"Thank you."

As she and Bella prepared to leave, Amara glanced toward the person the man had mentioned.

Unfortunately, she only caught a glimpse of his back.

The man had jet-black hair and was currently inspecting a cake in his hands with surprising concentration.

For some reason, she felt that this figure was looking at them, even without looking at them, but as she didn’t get Bella’s signal, she dismissed it as her overthinking.

And then the two departed from the house.

After leaving the house, Amara immediately noticed the massive airship of the Imperial Military hovering in the sky above Tri-Mountain Village.

The Empire’s response had been far quicker than most people would have expected.

After receiving the tip she had secretly passed along, the military had intervened directly.

An entire company had been dispatched to secure the village, arrest those involved, and restore order before the situation could spread further.

"Princess, it is already morning, and because we stayed here overnight, we are now behind schedule," Bella said while rubbing her forehead.

"The palace maids are already creating a commotion because you haven’t appeared yet."

For emergencies, Bella had left behind a magical clone within the Imperial Palace.

Unfortunately, the exact situation she had prepared for had ended up occurring.

"Haaaa..."

Amara let out a long sigh.

She had done everything she could.

Even if she had technically succeeded, she still felt mentally exhausted.

Not to mention, the pendant she had received was entirely unexpected.

"Bella, you missed a once in a lifetime opportunity by refusing that tea."

Bella blinked.

"It was only tea."

The couple looked like ordinary people.

"The military will receive all the credit for resolving this incident," Bella pointed out.

"Don’t you want some recognition?"

Amara looked genuinely confused.

"But you’re the one who actually did everything."

Bella stared at her for a moment.

Then she simply grabbed the princess by the shoulder.

The next moment, both disappeared as teleportation magic carried them back toward the Imperial Palace.

A cheerful voice echoed throughout the room.

Jayden blinked before looking at the man who had just arrived.

"Uncle, you finally came after so long!" he said before frowning.

"But my birthday isn’t today."

"Hahaha!" The man laughed loudly.

"Not yours, but today is Sol’s birthday."

He ruffled Jayden’s hair.

"I also heard about everything that happened. I’m sorry you had to go through that, and since I wasn’t able to attend before, I’ll give you a proper gift today."

Jayden lowered his head slightly.

"I understand, but if possible, please give the gift to him."

The man’s expression softened.

"Don’t worry, Sol won’t refuse, and to be more precise, he won’t be able to."

Then he looked toward the doorway.

"Right, Sol?"

At that moment, the women entered carrying Maya in his arms, behind them the Sol too arrived.

"You actually came just to celebrate his birthday?" the women asked while looking at the friend.

"Of course I did." The man smiled shamelessly.

Sol shook his head.

"Alright, Luna, sit down. I genuinely didn’t think he would come."

Meanwhile, Maya’s eyes had completely locked onto the cake sitting on the table.

The friend immediately reached out.

Luna handed Maya over while lighting a single candle and placing it atop the cake.

Sol looked at her strangely.

"Do you want me to remind everyone of your age?" Luna giggled as Sol’s expression twitched.

"Look at how friendly Maya is!" the friend exclaimed.

Rainbow-colored bubbles suddenly appeared around the little girl.

Maya laughed happily while reaching for them.

"Now then, let’s celebrate your father’s birthday first." the man said as he clapped his hands together.

Darkness gently spread through the room.

The floating bubbles burst one after another.

Instead of disappearing, they transformed into countless glowing specks resembling tiny stars.

The room became filled with a dreamlike atmosphere.

Everyone joined in.

Sol sighed before giving the man a helpless look.
