Chapter 15: Black Horizon Guild
"Aren’t you too impatient? What you are asking for isn’t a simple matter."
"That might be true for others, but not you. And there is no need to arrange another hunter for me, you won’t find anything that way. But I do have a request, though."
Ethan flatly rejected her suggestion that she was about to place on him. They wouldn’t have known much anyway cause he doesn’t either.
"What else do you want now?" Aurora asked without changing her expression.
She was indeed caught, but it wasn’t a spy she meant to appoint, as Ethan thought, but a genuine protector who could also work as a spy.
’There goes your chance, Nyra. Wait for him to get back now.’
"I would like to have some swords."
"Some swords? How many do you want? Isn’t one enough?" Aurora asked, a bit confused.
"No, one isn’t enough. As many as you can find are better, also only those swords that have no mana in them."
Being unawakened, he was never able to use any weapon that was embedded with mana.
Even in his past life, he was only able to swing normal wooden swords that had close to no mana in them.
The only exception was the sword that Eleanor gave to him, which changed everything for him.
Aurora nodded her head in understanding. It was the first time she was dealing with something like this.
"Well, our guild might have some; if not, I will arrange them for you. Now, shall we go to our guild?"
She moved to Eleanor’s side and wrapped her arms around her shoulder.
"You will like it there, don’t worry."
"How will we go there?" Eleanor asked innocently.
"We will fly, of course," Aurora responded with a smile.
"Huh?" Eleanor was about to say something, but before she could, Aurora grabbed Ethan’s hand and jumped from the rooftop.
"Ehhh?!!"
In the blink of an eye, they reached the top. Even the tallest buildings from the ground felt so small from there.
The speed at which she wasn’t even able to follow before, she was moving at that speed now with Aurora.
It was overwhelming indeed; however, the more she got used to it, the stronger her desire to get sgrew.
Ethan, on the other hand, was calm as usual; he was used to this speed, albeit his current body wasn’t, but he did not let it show.
’She is fast, incredibly fast. I still don’t get it. How did someone like her die? How come even Eleanor or Aurora never cleared the floor 50?’
Aurora was moving at her max speed, and soon, a huge building came into view with its name written in bold letters,s "BLACK HORIZON", along with its symbol of dark sun, whose fire was burning even the waves beneath it.
That was the headquarters of the biggest guild in the world right now.
Aurora smoothly landed on the ground along with Eleanor and Ethan.
The guild was even bigger than what they saw from above. How could it not be? It had more than 30 floors.
The presence this guild holds cannot be overlooked at all.
The moment Aurora landed at the entrance, she caught everyone’s eye.
It was like they were seeing their idol for the first time.
Ethan looked at those people and then at Aurora.
’Admiration and hope... that’s all I see from them. And she might be the only person who can give them so much security. It must be hard for her to always meet their expectations. I remember the moment when the news of her death was broadcasted every where... it was the day all hope was lost. Anyone else can fall but not her.’
"Let’s go in," Aurora said, with a grace fitting for someone of her standard.
Ethan and Eleanor followed after her, not saying a word.
Such a sight, where the guild master of the strongest guild was escorting two newbies, was more than enough to catch everyone’s eyes.
A natural human reaction followed after that, speculation.
"Who are those two people behind the guild masters?"
"Are they the prodigies of this year from the academy?"
"Maybe, why else would she come here personally?"
"Strange, why have I never seen them before?"
"You talk as if you remember everyone?"
"I do actually, that’s my job as a scout. Maybe these are from some prestigious families?"
"Really? They might be nothing much if that’s so. Those from the prestigious families are weak and arrogant; they don’t compare to our guild master."
Conversations like these happened simultaneously everywhere, and they kept on increasing as more people saw them.
"Don’t mind their words," Aurora said without turning back.
"They don’t bother me. I am fine." Eleanor responded casually.
Ethan curled up his lips a little,
’She never cared about anyone else.’
"They will keep talking until you prove your worth. So, become someone they can only admire, Ellie."
"I will." She enthusiastically nodded her head.
’For you.’
But didn’t say the last part out loud, keeping it to herself.
