Chapter 10: Gathering of Guild leaders

She was so frank that it was naturally enough to make Eleanor flustered, as there was nothing like that going on, even though she wished for something to happen.

"W-we weren’t doing anything." She refuted with her cheeks red with heat from embarrassment.

Not just her, even Ethan was taken aback by how blatant she was, but he did not let it show on his face.

’Was she always like this?’

Ignoring both of them, Aurora reached for Eleanor. Hugging her from her side, she sniffed her a little and said,

"You smell nicer than anyone I have met till now. I like you."

She gave out a bright and charming smile, almost making it seem as if she was trying to flirt with Eleanor.

But she did not stop there. Closing the gap between them, she softly whispered in her ear, "And I know what you are thinking right now. Join my guild, I will teach you how to get him."

She even winked at her, fully showing Eleanor her support.

Matter of fact, Eleanor considered it deeply after this, even though she had promised Ethan that she would join her guild and learn under her.

’It’s considered learning too, right?’

She definitely wouldn’t mind having some extra classes. Rather, she might be more focused on that.

Ethan ignored her teasing Eleanor for now and decided to get to the main focus.

"Guild master, can you stop that? Other guild masters aren’t here yet. We can decide which one to join later."

’I do wish for Ellie to be by her side, but for that, I do not wish to have a bad relationship with the other guild leaders... not like I care about their emotions, but they are crucial for the future. A single person won’t be able to change the fate of this world.’

He fought and killed monsters for years, continued to train until he could no longer lift his arm, ran from the monsters till his legs gave up, but he never quit and surpassed every limit he thought he had, but what happened at the end?

He lost.

Either he would have to become so strong that no one could stand against him, or he needed to take help from others.

Given the scenario, there was no way for him to become the strongest out of nowhere.

Aurora softly hummed and tilted her head a little.

"Alright. You will join me anyway, so what is it that you want?"

"Can we wait till the other guild leaders get here?" Ethan proposed.

To which, Aurora looked at him weirdly and smiled with a bone-chilling calmness.

"What are you talking about? They are already here."

The moment she said that, Ethan also sensed five more people on the rooftop. Each one on par with the others.

’I didn’t even sense them till now. Did they all come at once?’

He was sure his senses wouldn’t betray him. Even if he didn’t hold the same strength as before, he was sure of that much.

Aurora sensed his wariness and spoke, "Don’t worry, I also noticed them just now. But... I have to say. Someone who doesn’t have mana or any affinity, and someone who I don’t think has gone into a rift or tower till now, has almost the same level of sensory skills as me. Suspicious indeed."

"Think what you want." He didn’t say anything else to her and looked at the five figures that came there.

He knew all of them from his previous life. Each one of their fates ended in a tragedy.

Aurora was the strongest of them all, but these five weren’t any weaker at all.

First of them was Alaric... the leader of White Fang Guild. He was a man still in his prime. A swordsman famous for his leadership and discipline.

If Ethan had to guess, then he was probably the second strongest of them all.

Another was Magnus Draven, the leader of Eclipse Guild, a man who couldn’t be ignored. His build was simply too massive, almost eight feet tall and more. At that point, calling him a human felt wrong.

Just looking at his broad stature, he might be even stronger than everyone in terms of physical strength.

The one beside him was Lucian Voss, the leader who founded Crimson Dominion. He was the second youngest among them all, the first being Aurora.

He had striking crimson hair, with fire burning in his eyes. He was the most handsome one of them all too.

Ethan remembered him more clearly than the others, as he had seen his strength by himself on the battlefield. Just one move was all it took for him to burn hundreds of monsters into ashes.

The one looking curiously at Eleanor and Ethan was Seraphina Vale, the leader of Celestial Aegis. She was probably the weakest one of them all in terms of fighting prowess. But... none of them would be able to break her barrier with ease. In fact, it was uncertain if they would be able to break her barrier at all, the exception being Aurora, of course.

At last, the one at the back, resting her back against the wall, hiding her face, was Nyra. The leader of Veil of Crows. A deadly assassin. No one knows how many lives she has taken till now. It is rumoured that she was always a trained assasin before she even awakened, and after being awakened she killed everyone that belonged to that assasin group.

At the end, its a rumour, no one knows if that’s true or not cause no one who knew about it is left alive.

Now not many knew much about her, rather than that she had 13 S-rank hunters under her.

Not many had even seen her face, including the guild leaders present there, with the exception of Aurora.

"I won’t start with greetings to you all. I do not wish to waste your time at all. If you can fulfill a few of my conditions, then Eleanor will join that guild."

"Hmm? What about you? I want you too." Aurora butted in.

"First, I want the guild leader to personally help Eleanor."

"Are you ignoring me?" Aurora yelled again, but Ethan didn’t stop.

"Second, she won’t attend the academy and will directly join the guild. The government might not want that, as they would want an S-tier potential candidate to join their side, so I want the guild leader to deal with that."

It would be tricky because the government wouldn’t let them do everything as they wished.

One of the reasons why they even opened the academy was because of this, so they could have a few good candidates themselves rather than giving everything to the top guilds.
