Chapter 348: Chapter 324: Chelsea Todd’s Plan 3
Cynthia Grant’s face went deathly pale as she shot to her feet. "What! Why would Flora go with them? With her skills, if she didn’t want to go, no one could’ve stopped her!"
"You know why Flora came to Argent. She doesn’t want to stir up any trouble!"
"Let’s go! We have to save Flora!"
Cynthia Grant grabbed Neal Wallace and was about to leave, but her hands and feet were suddenly bound by red thorns.
"You always act without thinking!" Robin Grant’s calm, detached tone cut through Cynthia Grant’s frantic impatience.
"Grandpa, why are you tying me up? Let me go! If something happens to Flora, we’ll never be able to live with ourselves!
Didn’t you teach us from a young age to repay our debts of gratitude? Flora saved our lives! I can’t just ignore her! If you don’t let me go, don’t blame me for fighting back!"
Robin Grant sighed and called over the messenger. "How much do you know about the situation in the pregnant women’s isolation zone?"
"Sir, as soon as the Family Head received the notice, he took two superpower users to the conference room at the base entrance. The heads of the other four great families should be there as well."
"Alright, you’re dismissed." After sending the subordinate away, Robin Grant released Cynthia’s bonds. "You’re always so rash. If you charge in to save someone like that, you’ll just get yourself caught. You think you can save your friend then?"

Cynthia Grant gradually calmed down, standing beside Neal Wallace in front of Robin Grant.
"Grandpa, do you have a plan? You have to help me save Flora!"
"She saved your life. I won’t abandon her. Come on. You two, follow me. We’ll go to the conference room and hear what the other families have to say."
...
In the conference hall of the police station near the base, the five families finally reached a unanimous agreement: they would communicate with the people inside using the broadcast system and listening devices.
Inside the pregnant women’s isolation zone, the second floor had been completely wiped out. All the pregnant women there were now like soulless husks with pale faces and vacant eyes. Their bodies were missing chunks of flesh, and a few even had heads dangling, attached to their necks by just a single tendon.
They stood impassively by the iron-barred windows, their cold gazes fixed on the pregnant women on the first floor below.
Behind them, three infant zombies were on the floor, gnawing on the corpse of a pregnant woman. The body belonged to the first victim, bitten by a nearby infant zombie. Now, half of it had been devoured by the hungry creatures. Only her head remained intact, lying forlornly in a corner. But it was clear the head had already turned; its mouth snapped open and shut—CLICK CLACK CLICK CLACK—desperate to lunge at its own body and tear away the flesh.
On the first floor, the pregnant women were all huddled by the stone door, too terrified to move. Only Flora Bloom leaned dispassionately against the opposite wall, poised to deal with the zombie mothers and infants from the second floor that could rush down at any moment.
’Good thing there aren’t too many of them up there. If the ones from the second floor rush down, I can still handle them. What I’m worried about are these liabilities on the first floor. Once they panic and start stampeding, things will get tricky.’

Just then, a crackle of static erupted from the surrounding speakers, followed by the voice of a middle-aged man.
"Everyone in the isolation zone, do not panic. Remain calm. We have devised a plan to get you all out."
According to Chelsea Todd’s proposal, as long as Flora Bloom brought up the rear, they could ensure the other women escaped safely, even if the zombified mothers and infants from the second floor charged. Moreover, the plan was to have the few pregnant women with family connections go first. That way, even if disaster struck the rearguard, they could just shut the stone gate in time and guarantee their own people made it out safely.
Upon hearing the voice, the pregnant women on the first floor, who had been overcome with panic and fear, began to weep with joy—especially Rianne Thorne.
"Dad, Dad, is that you? You have to save me! It’s horrible in here, I can’t take it anymore!"
Listening to his eldest daughter’s voice through the receiver, Keaton Thorne’s heart clenched. But the situation didn’t allow for a prolonged conversation.
He took a deep breath and continued into the microphone, "Flora Bloom. To the young woman named Flora Bloom, if you can hear me, please respond."
Flora Bloom kept her head down, staying inconspicuous, with absolutely no intention of answering. ’It would be a miracle if they wanted me for something good. In a place like this, I have no intention of sticking my neck out only to be used.’
Unfortunately, the voice on the broadcast wasn’t about to let her off the hook.
"You, the young woman standing by the right-hand wall. My name is Keaton Thorne, Family Head of the Thorne family. I need you to help these innocent pregnant women escape. They need your help!"
