Chapter 335: Chapter 319: Would You Believe It If I Said We Saved Your Young Miss?

Big-Pore and Little-Pore were now being raised like ornamental pets on the lawn of Villa Number One. Little Shell had also been let out to roam freely. Monkey One, Monkey Two, and Monkey Three had become quite the attraction in the Morhaven Safe Zone. They spent their time at the training grounds following Sherman Lynch, hilariously mimicking everyone’s training poses.

Flora Bloom had even placed the two mutated grasshoppers and the venomous snake in her own yard. As for the giant python she had acquired from the forest world inside the Eye of Earthly Fire, she had settled it in the pond in the yard of Villa Number Three.

The pond might look small, but its depth was staggering. The giant python dwelled within, serving as an unconventional line of defense for Villa Number Three. Only by meticulously arranging every detail could Flora Bloom leave for Argent to find Lex Cross with peace of mind.

Ever since it had run off that day, the wolf cub had been joyfully tearing about, both inside and outside the safe zone. Strangely enough, the cub absolutely loved the environment outside the Morhaven Safe Zone—the very same environment humans couldn’t adapt to due to the lack of oxygen.

When the corrosive gases outside the base finally dissipated and the people of the Morhaven Safe Zone took their first steps outside, they knew at once that Morhaven was no longer the coastal city it once had been.

Now, Morhaven was a lush, primeval jungle. All sorts of unknown plants had completely overrun the city. Aside from the residential buildings within the safe zone, every other structure and public fixture had been stripped of its modern facade. It was as if they had been ravaged by a thousand years of time, transformed into dilapidated, decaying ruins.

The safe zone was like an idyllic haven embedded within the ancient jungle, standing isolated in its heart.

The plants, which seemed to possess a consciousness of their own, would pursue and engulf any living creature they encountered. When the wolf cub dashed out, they immediately coiled toward it. But the cub became a streak of light, its tiny body moving with the speed of a fleeting shadow, and the plants couldn’t even touch it.

The same was true for the Golden Crow.

Morhaven’s current environment seemed to be their natural habitat. They moved through it like fish in water, full of joy.

So, for this trip, Flora Bloom brought Vert, Golden Cicada, Juggernaut, and Three-Eyes with her. She also had Little Bee in her storage space, along with the hive it had built and the entire swarm within.

The three of them followed the points marked on Flora Bloom’s tablet, walking at a steady pace. Suddenly, a tremor ran through the ground, accompanied by a faint, strange creaking sound from beneath the earth.

"What was that?" Cynthia Grant had clearly noticed it too. She glanced around, her hand clutching a small, bluish-green sprout so tightly it let out a little SQUEAK!

This was the very sprout Flora Bloom had helped Cynthia Grant steal from the botanical garden after the lockdown on the Morhaven Safe Zone was lifted. Over the month of confinement, the Rose vine seemed to have absorbed the outside atmosphere, growing much sturdier and its vines much thicker. Thanks to Flora Bloom’s persistent, daily watering with spiritual water, its root system had not only spread throughout the botanical garden but had even grown new shoots inside, which it used to steal a man-eating flower sprout from the territory of its parent plant.

An adult man-eating flower had a robust root system that allowed it to uproot itself and move with incredible speed. The sprouts, however, were exceptionally fragile. The slightest mishap could cause one to perish. That was why the two of them had to wait at the edge of the botanical garden for the Rose vine to retrieve the sprout.

The moment Cynthia Grant took the man-eating flower sprout in her hand, she instinctively began to establish a spiritual power channel with it.

Communicating with a fully grown man-eating flower would have been far too difficult given Cynthia Grant’s current level and strength. But communicating with a sprout that had just gained consciousness? That was much simpler.

So, in less than three days, Cynthia Grant had successfully coaxed the young sprout into submission, using Flora Bloom’s spiritual water as bait. They established a spiritual channel, allowing them to communicate with each other.

Man-eating flowers were certainly formidable, impervious to fire and water, blades and spears. However, the energy required to raise one was immense. For a man-eating flower to reach its adult stage, it needed more than twice the energy a Level 1 superpower user required to break through to the Middle Level.

But there were likely no zombies left in Morhaven. Acquiring Crystal Cores was easier said than done. This trip to Argent was the perfect opportunity to collect plenty of Zombie Crystal Cores.

Right on cue, just after the tremor subsided, a piercing scream echoed from somewhere ahead of them.

Immediately after, a fissure split open the ground, and the earth beneath their feet began to heave and buckle.

A massive, black, segmented limb suddenly burst from the ground not far ahead. It shot out, wrapped around a nearby girl, and dragged her underground.
