Chapter 117: First Kiss/Lady Wutherhorn’s Secret
The altercation lasted all of twenty five minutes before Jacob and Xenia had to leave them alone.
Now it was just Anissa and Light in the room, the light slowly crept into the small ward-like room as they looked at each other.
"Good, finally have you to myself for whatever time is left." Anissa spoke out, smiling mischievously, she couldn’t explain how she suddenly felt confident around him, maybe it was the side of him she saw.
"I told you I’m not going anywhere." Light chuckled as he told her, his wounds were completely bandaged, but he still felt some way about facing Yannick. Yannick was extremely skilled, and experienced. His affinity was also a huge buff.
Even though Light knew that getting stuck in his own head wasn’t the right move, he just couldn’t help but wonder about it.
"I’m glad you’re here though. I’ve been watching you in the crowds the whole time." He said with a smile.
"Oh really, did you miss me or something?" She asked, biting her lip softly and inching closer to him.
Light felt all the hair on his body involuntarily stand at attention the second she did that, as though she had triggered an electrical spark in his nerves, his breath caught in his throat.
"Yeah... well—maybe I did. Just a little though." He said.
"Then why is your body saying something different." She asked.

Light started to get uncomfortable now, he could feel movements in his body that he didn’t understand, he only gulped down a glob of saliva that was forming in his mouth.
"I have two gifts for you Light..." Anissa started, her voice becoming softer and her entire face was red, but she wouldn’t relent, never. "I would give you one now, and the other... if you go on to win the tournament."
"What’s the first gif—" before Light could even finish his sentence, she pulled his face to hers, their lips connected, Light opened his eyes wide in shock, but then his eyes closed involuntarily as he leaned into it.
She made sounds that he couldn’t describe, maybe it was painful, he didn’t know. He knew that he enjoyed it, maybe even more than she did.
Time passed and she gently pulled her lips away from his, letting out a short gasp as though her source of breathing had been cut off.
"I would cherish that gift forever." Light broke the silence before she could say a word. "Have you done this before?"
She smiled and shook her head, it was as though her words had been stolen along with the kiss. All she wanted was to be there in that moment with him.
He could even believe what was happening, he felt giddy all of a sudden. In fact, in that moment, he was ready to take on Yannick.
’I can die now and not have any regrets.’ He mused in his mind while smiling happily.
Anissa, on the other hand, did a small celebratory dance in her head, knowing that she had defeated all the other girls for Light’s attention.
She quietly placed he me head on his shoulder, there were less than twenty minutes left till the final battle, she wanted to spend as much time with him as she could before then.

"I can’t say Light has not surprised me." Light’s mother spoke, but the Primarch said nothing, he only stared forward at the battle ground.
The boy was strong, that much he knew, but he would never accept him. No matter how hard the boy tried, his achievements would never belong to the Wutherhorn clan, for one particular reason.
And it was a thing he wouldn’t talk to his wife about, even if it killed him. It was something that Jacob had sniffed out, something that was so obvious that as much as they tried to hide it, it stood out as clearly as day.
Light was a bastard.
He wasn’t of Wutherhorn blood, that was the reason the Primarch despised him, but would only allow him bear the name and live under the guise of being royalty, because of the love he had for his wife.
A love that was his greatest weakness, he didn’t care that Light had run away, infact he was glad that the boy had fled, one less issue to worry about.
Which is why when the boy returned, it made him angrier than he had ever been, the boy couldn’t just stay away.
"What are you thinking about my Lord." His wife asked him, abruptly interrupting his train of thoughts as he looked at her. This was a woman he would never stop loving, even though he wouldn’t show it to her all the time, so as not to appear weaker than be already was.

He would still find tiny gestures to show her in whatever way he could, the only thing he would never forgive her for, was her infidelity.
"Nothing, just waiting to see Yannick in action." He responded listlessly.
"I just hope it doesn’t end like the battle with Jonathan."
"Haha. Nonsense! Jonathan was always weak, we all knew it—relying on machines! Yannick is nothing like him." The man said through gritted teeth, a testament to his complete and unwavering faith in his legitimate, first born son.
The woman only looked away, she knew that he wasn’t much fond of Light, and on the same note, she wondered if he was aware of a secret she had fought so hard to keep.
She didn’t want to bother herself with things like this for now, she would be watching both of her sons fight for the umpteenth time in a few minutes, she didn’t much like it, but it was tradition.
All she could do was hope that they didn’t tear each other apart, or kill one another.
The time slowly went by and before long, it was time for the final battle.
Yannick Wutherhorn versus Light Wutherhorn.
Everybody took their time and settled back into their seats, more wagers were placed and both fighters would be announced onto the battle ground soon.
